I'm at Dave and Busters arcade spending $100 but playing ONLY the Angry Birds Coin Crash coin pusher game where you build big towers of coins and knock them over for huge ticket jackpots. I'll then cash in all of my arcade tickets to see what the best prize I can get is.

    • It's pretty simple, really. A circular spinning table with a slot that pushes coins through one at a time. The first layer has coins all flat, and after that each coin pushed through the slot is timed so it's below the last coin pushed out, so eventually it spirals up.

  • That was a pleasant surprise - it's easy to get quite a lot of tickets in this game, if you're prepared to spend the money for them! No doubt the multiple smaller towers and the multiple ticket bonuses helped, as well as the two egg bonuses (remember, eggs only count to the egg bonus, they don't add anything to the tower height).

  • That's pretty cool. The ones at our local arcade are out of order a lot. Since the easing of restrictions in our area, the local Round One gets crushed and the staff has all they can do to keep up. Still over the year it's a great way to stay entertained and have toys on hand for birthdays in a family with a lot of young kids. Every time there's a function, we just go to the closet and wrap a few "catch up" gifts.

  • I played Angry Birds at D&B last night for a good while. Had a lot of technical issues though and I think I lost a good number of tickets. I got the egg bonus 2-3 times though. Mine only gives 15 seconds when building the tower vs your 20 seconds and I think it was 6 chips to play on half priced night vs your 5.4.

  • Nice and informative video. Especially the end.. spending 100 to be forced into buying worth 70 in "retail value". Even if you win big, any way you look at it, you lose bigger. I hope it was fun though, sure looked like it!

  • The 2 miss compartments at the bottom is cheap as hell to me. I get with these machines the amount of coins that fall down is much larger so they can't be paying out 20 tickets a push but seeing the 2 miss compartments would probably stop me from ever even trying the machine when so many pushers count everything that's dropped. Or over here in the UK the majority of coin pushers have pennies in them and what's pushed off you collect at the bottom and then the coins usually have silly little prizes ontop to entice you or £5 notes but they're usually weighted down 😂 I'm so jealous of America for Dave and busters and just how common arcades can be. All our arcade games over here are like stuck in the 70s.

    • It's possible to get 1000+ coins tall if you get 30+ spins in the party time, and if you want to get the tallest tower, try avoiding the eggs!

  • So some quick maths. 6500 divided by 40 is 160, 3400 divided by 30 is 143.3R. Keep in mind, the closer the number is to 1 means the closer to a 1 to 1 conversion ratio there is. If you cared about maximizing tickets to cash buying 2 of the speaker and leaving the rest of the tickets on the card gives you a better conversion rate.
