Judge tells Trump gag order does not prevent him from testifying
The judge overseeing the New York hush money trial against former President Trump said the gag order does not prevent him from testifying. Trump had told reporters he believed the order did prevent him while leaving the trial yesterday.

45 incriminating himself doesn't prevent him from giving testimony, it's his lawyers that are trying to prevent him, so they don't lose the case. It doesn't prevent him from testifying in the stand at court. A lot of people are encouraging it even. Maybe he can clear some things up without his Lawyer censoring his speech.😈🤘
I'm also wondering about the amusing possibility of him planning to contrive a conspiratorial narrative that the judge and jury are "in on it" with the people who are supposedly witch hunting him. If that was his plan, I guess he wouldn't be able to testify without lambasting and defaming the people who are being protected with the gag order. I surely wouldn't put it past him.

He seems incapable of speaking correctly to state what he actually was intending to say. However, he is also known to lie about anything and everything, so it's very difficult to tell if something he says is intentionally a lie, or if he is just incompetent and confused.

The nod was probably deliberate, in order for trump to claim that his lawyer confirmed that he couldn't testify. This would give grounds for trump to claim 'Deficient performance by counsel' - a perfect reason for a mistrial appeal.
