Scrapyard Motor Melt Down - Zinc Copper Aluminum - Trash To Treasure - ASMR Metal Melting BigStackD
Hey there again all you awesome people how are you all this week? Today I hit the scrap yard again for a little motor to welcome into the BigStack family. This Motor was only 6.25kgs so i also meld and poured a heap off solid pure zinc balls into over 60 coins. The coins were poured into my mate Bruce's graphite coin molds his link below. So just sit back and take a break and check out this weeks long video. And have yourselves a great week and see you all next Friday. Merch is finally available but I’m not going to push it like some channels , it’s there to find on your own free will. I will mention it here and there but not throw it in your face in every video like a lot of channels do, but if you don’t want the Merch but still want to support the channel Simply donate some of your time to help support the channel just by allowing the ads to play through this will help out a lot and that’s how I make a bit extra revenue and the good thing is more revenue means more giveaways👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻and like I always say if you like the rings shown and used in this video be sure to check out the description where you can get 20% off the already discounted rings using my code and if you want to try your hand at melting yourself you can buy the burner on its own or the whole furnace set up and I can organize a 5% link for you off the total furnace price just email me on bigstackddddd@mail.com 😁👍🏻.

HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it??????.

Scrapyard Motor Melt Down - Zinc Copper Aluminum - Trash To Treasure - ASMR Metal Melting BigStackD
Good morning good evening good afternoon to everyone wherever you are on this crazy planet. In today’s video a quick trip to the scrapyard for a mini motor and it wasn’t quite enough to satisfy me so I also poured over 60 zinc coins in my new molds. So sit back relax and enjoy today’s long video. And I’ll see you sensational people next Friday 😁👋🏻.
Hii
@@harshpatel7152 👋🏻
GOOD Afternoon 👍
I am from India ❤️
Lol
Not only loved the process, how beautiful your pieces turned out, and how you teach all the tips and precautions you take, but how nice you seem without even talking. How you treat your dogs (btw they are ADORABLE) , how you cared about the little bee, your unicorn notebook 💖. Instantly subed. Your workshop looks amazing too, I wish I had a space like that!
😁👊🏻
That unicorn notebook is absolutely rad! :D I want one, too. :)
@@sobersky3716 I'm on the hunt for one as well. May have to take my search online, was trying to find one locally. Lol

Trust me but you kniw what he can use that he's loaded man hahaha

I am glad you have found yourself a hobby in this crazy world - ( especially in a once great country - Australia) this will take your mind off the world troubles. It is obvious to me that you have a heart of gold too (-no pun intended), the way you present yourself and your care for animals - well done ! If only there were more people like you around.
My favorite kind of motor! I just love it when there is a lot of aluminium to melt.
I've never been so jealous of another man's scrapyard, it's unreal
You can easily find scrap metals in any area, just keep eye out and talk to people, let them know you are interested in broken tools, machines etc what happens to be your cup of tea and soon you are flooded with materials. I just hope people take good look what they are about to scrap, since absolute ton of things that land on my scrap yard and i see on this area are ether fully functional or require just minor repair. People throw away ridiculous sums of money for not learning how to fix simple stuff and being just out right lazy, so first check whats wrong with the device, then check how much it costs to repair, then what ever it is worth the repair based on utility value and then decide what ever you scrap it for materials or fix for your self or to be sold/gifted away for those who need one. Say old tractor, sure its clonker and needs tons of maintenance witch it has lacked for yours, but i would never scrap one, how ever bad condition it is, since it can be sold as parts machine or collect few and repair it to back in operation. If use is small like in home stead old tractor is worth its weight in gold, since new machines cost arm and a leg, still being worse quality than the old machines. For instance i rarely require bulldozer on my home stead, but its only machine that can do certain things in here like move huge rocks around, so it would be awesome to get cheap old machine regardless how much wear and tear it has long as it somehow operational. Also i dont find scrapyards that valuable thing to have since they know exact value of metals at that moment, so you still will be paying scrap value of it, just need to burn gas etc work to get material, but sure its better to require them your self like that, than go buy new material if you do castings etc.
@@Hellsong89 Where someone has spent $500 - $1000+ for a new phone each year I've spent $100 on mine for it to work absolutely great for 10 years lol
One persons trash is another persons tresure no wonder why phones screen cables and micro processors are so expensive there is gold copper zinc and quarts in technologys0
I don't know why I keep watching these, but I see a new one and I smash that play button. I guess, who needs meditation when there is bigstackD? Thankyou for this moment of peace. :)
I had zero interest in metal work before this video started. 20 minutes and 32 seconds later I am absolutely fascinated !! Brilliant editing
Same here. Lol
I'll be getting my first 4kg furnace in a few months. I make jewelry, and casting molds of my one of a kind pieces has been something I want to do for a while.
I appreciate how you polish the bricks. Haven’t seen any other KZhead do that. Makes it look more appealing
KZhead just found me this channel recently, and I'm addicted. I love the fact that you keep repeating things like, heat your tools, heat your mold, wear a respirator, gloves, etc. Keep'n safety on everyone's mind. Means that everyone that comes into the channel wherever, can pick up what you're putting down. My wife loves Bullion and Ingot.
A furnace, crucibles, tongs, moulds and all the gear is something I've always wanted. I just never knew it until I started watching your videos.
Definitely feeling a 'Brave Little Toaster' vibe with that motor and junkyard.😆
Great job !! Apart from respecting your work, you can see the love you have towards your pets (which I share) which ... this makes you even bigger! Good luck with your channel. I congratulate you from Spain !!! 👏👏 👏👏
What I loved about this video: no lecturing, no unwanted lengthiness, smooth flow, wonderful editing, nice knowledge in simple way and best of all great puppies ❤️❤️❤️🔥

Nothing like a beautiful Friday morning, hot cup of coffee in hand, and a new bigstackD video to watch. Perfect way to end a long week.
Yours is the only channel I let the commercials play through since you asked us to. Enjoying the relaxing sounds of a furnace cooking metal.
cheers My friend I appreciate that, every ad helps 😁👊🏻
First time watching. I Was baking some chocolate chip cookies and I saw your video…I couldn’t stop watching. Thumbs up for all the work you do taking care of the little things (the cold and shiny unbranded beverage ) ((#classic)) that keep the show going. Your awesome. Thanks. I will share what I discovered today…with my intelligent and appreciative friends.
I started this video thinking "psh 20 min, I don't have time for this" but as I continued I was hooked. This is something I did with my brother a while back, but we haven't made ingots for a while. It's amazing how you exatracted & transformed that (alternator?) into those ingots.
That pile looks like a pirate's treasure. And the fact that an Aussie made it just seals the deal. Nice work mate!

I love what you said
My salutations to you Sir for saving the little bee. Shows what a cool guy you are 👏👏👏👏👏 Watching you at work is pure meditation.
Video is simple, honest and open. Great job, pleasure to watch
In developing countries, the real treasure is the motor itself. We would just rewind it and replace the bearings if need be and we would have a perfectly functioning motor again. The burned copper windings to be recycled is just a bonus.
@Der Traubengott He enjoys what he does. He makes videos so he can share his hobby with us.
you are in wrong scrapeyard dude. You know too well that those devoloping countries are kept in dark by the rich. But you are coward to say something to those.
@Georgije Mesaroš why u dont start doing magic or something. Franz bardon.
That’s all true but maybe where he buys them from they just might be going to the dump. Idk.
Instant sub. You literally make your own treasure but the real treasure is the process itself. Cheers from a fellow Aussie 🍻🇦🇺
He loses money though. By the time he has paid for all gas and equipment. Great for videos, not so good for making money. Might as well just weigh it in.
Not only he melts metals,he melts our hearts too
This is one of the "after 1am" videos i like to watch
That's sick. Looks like a pile of treasure! Jealous.

Nah its all cheap metals man,,not gold
@@MustafaSaadi_ "Cheap" metals still have appreciable value. Especially if pure.
@@SudsyMedusa53 I agree with this guy
@@SudsyMedusa53 yes
This is why most blacksmiths I have seen on the internet have gentle, souls. Homie pick up a bee and just leaves him on one of his potted plants so he doesn't get turned into a carbon stain in his crucible.
Plus, let's save the bees right? Awareness
He is not a blacksmith tho. Blacksmiths forge items with hammers etc. from stock metals. This is quite literally the very opposite of blacksmithing.
@@ShadowManceri so... a whitesmith?
@@ShadowManceri you don’t know if he isn’t for a fact. He could do blacksmithing in his free time for all you know.
@@Sam-fq5hc He doesn't even have the tooling. Even calling himself a smelter is big leap. Smelters actually purify the metals. This is just a melting stuff.
I think the most relatable part is you trying to get that O-ring off with a pair of needle nose pliers. We've all been there brother.
Pups always makes the day better.
Dunno what it is mate, but your videos make me feel better. So thanks for that and keep up the good work!
I'm the exact same way - it's calming somehow, I love them. I just saw the ebay store link, how cool!
thank you this video make me feel better i like it. thanks
This channel is a gold mine of chill vibes
Why the hell is this SO satisfying to watch??? I should be asleep and now all I want to do is get a crucible.
Working with my hands, tools and fire awakens something primal in me .. Probably for you too brother.
There is something hypnotic in this work, melting metal. It fascinate.
Woop woop🎉 just in from checking calving cows at 3am and see my BigstackD notification for a juicy melt vidja
got to love the fact this guy has a successful YT channel that provides him with enough revenue to do what he loves showing on YT
It's amazing to see that how much metal we have on this planet. We must have been so lucky as well.
Almost all of it came from "The Late Heavy Bombardment". Kinda amazing.
I dont know how I always end up watching these vids no matter where I start. Astrophysics lectures, felt lining jewelry boxes, Destiny lore videos, always somehow takes me in a loop to your channel.
Sup guardian
Is it strange that I find the slag removal to be the most satisfying part of the process?
Not at all
I find aluminium cans yeld the most slag
I came for the melting, my daughter to see the puppies, greetings from Colombia!

BigstackD, just came across your videos and love them. It’s great to see you recycling valuable metals. We need more people like you to save our resources. Great job, love your dogs and you keep a clean and well organized garage. Oh and I love the end when you kick off your shoes and drink a beverage. Take care my friend.😍👍🏻
13:48 In an alternated universe: BigstackD: "hey little guy, you shouldn't *BEE* here" Narrator in Morgan Freeman's voice: "And so, due to the awful and lame nature of the joke, with its final breath, the bee stung BigstackD and flew directly into the burning fires of the devil forge..."

I was thinking the exact same thing..
Looks extremely satisfying. Now you made my go out and buy David Gingery’s books and I’m going down the rabbit hole.
Great example of "one man's trash is another man's treasure"
By witnessing this act of kindness @ 13:49, gives me hope for humanity.

There's something about the aluminum pours that look super cool.
Thanks for saving that bee!
I work at an electrical motor repair shop and and we strip all the windings before throwing anything in the scrap bin.
Hey bro can you give me your channel for free 😁🌝
I also work at an Electrical motor repair shop... we strip all the winding and rewind it and make more money.... All that motor look tooo good to be on scrapyard
Same but also with pumps, we check and repair them for companies and rarely throw a motor out because we clean and glaze the winding in house and rewind it
Super popy
Make sense for copper at 9 USD + per kg but not sure it’s economical to smelt it yourself.
Todo un tesoro. Excelente. Gracias por compartir.
Love how the dogs are incorporated into every video. Example of how important ppl's pets really are.
Seeing ur work makes me cool...also u r having a kind heart...keep it up.
Never has the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" been so literally true. Those things are regularly thrown out as completely worthless, even though the material can be decently valuable (especially the copper).
Material? I mean That Motor could have been easily repaired, i know because that's my job, he concerted to pure metal, such a waste
