    • Kathy, I am a white woman who may not have felt exactly as you but was certainly in the same feel. Watching two black american girls gleeful in their joy at seeing her and introducing one of the living testaments to how beautiful smart and successful they are and can become. How white people can look at their black counterparts and not see themselves is not something I have struggled with my entire life. I know hundreds of black women who are just as graceful and beautiful as Michelle. Although she is extraordinary, I believe her qualities are found throughout ordinary black women. I hope we get to see the time when introducing black women such as Michelle becomes commonplace.

    • As a white woman from the USA, ITA! Imo, FLOTUS, Ms Obama should be an inspiration to all; black and white, men and women, dem and repubs, adults and children. No one has all the answers. Ms Obama however, has her mind, heart and intentions in the right place, She radiates goodness, kindness, love and respect and justice for all. I'm not trying to elevate her to sainthood. She's not. She's an example of what we should thrive to be. A decent human being.

Yet people want to hate just to hate and have zero facts to add to any conversation. Even the current FLOTUS. She may not be as educated or as well spoken as Michelle, but she really hasn't done anything and yet people hate just to hate. Hopefully Michelle's positive message helps people and motivates them to become a better person.

    • "It's a shame all the hate she gets." Michelle Obama is way too intelligent to stoop to the level to let that bother her. As she said, she simply considers the source and when they go low, she goes high. Look at the fairy tale life that family has!, Nothing to worry about there.

      @xpelvicxthrustx@xpelvicxthrustx6 жыл бұрын
    • @naughtyorgneiss: Mrs. Obama is wise AND right to advise young girls not to look to be a princess and have prince charming rescue her. It is good to want a good LOVING, STABLE marriage (like she and the President seem to have), but prepare yourself for the REAL world by getting as good an education/training as possible in your individual situation. Not all marriages are the "happily ever after" kind because some "prince charmings" turn out to be not so "charming" after all. In other words, hope and dream for the best, but wisely prepare for the worse in life. In fact an entire industry (INSURANCE) is based on this principle. Anyone who doesn't live this way is a FOOL! Btw, weddings are important and nice, BUT the MARRIAGE much more important, don't you think?

    • Christopher Urbanski I respected Mrs. Obama until she came out saying that women betrayed ourselves by voting for Trump. I personally understand where these "trolls" are coming from. What I don't understand is why anyone would respect someone who says that we should have voted/did/thought a certain way just because other members of my gender is doing this/voting for this person/thinking this way. I'm happy I voted for Trump. I have my reasons for not wanting Clinton in the white house. I have yet to regret MY choice.

  • My consensus from the comments on this feed is that no one is allowed to say ANYTHING positive about the Obama's. I guess freedom of speech is only extended one way. There is a rebuttal for majority of comments that express any kind of adoration for the Obama's. If so many people are disgusted with Mrs. O, why invest time into watching this interview? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Michelle Obama is the epitome of an intelligent, gracious, classy, professional, and family-oriented lady. If anyone doesn't agree with that, there is a way to RESPECTFULLY disagree, or just don't comment at all, since we're attempting to muffle people's comments...especially the positive ones on this feed. Small children have access to this feed. Let's be an example of how adults can have PRODUCTIVE dialogue. Sending positive vibes to EVERYONE!! 😃

    • The thing about it is that many people adore and worship her and although there are some who don't - they still have an opportunity to review content and not like everything displayed in that particular content. We don't get the opportunity to tell people what they should or should not view nor say because of our beliefs in the person or content being displayed. If people want to articulate something based on what they heard or how they feel then they should have a right to express it - not in mean nor hateful ways but rather in opposition of other views. We live in a country of freedom and it's okay to disagree with what someone is saying. It also appears that no is allowed to say anything in opposition to the positive comments on this feed and yes we all do have the freedom of speech and also the freedom of disagreement. Mrs. Obama is the epitome of all of the things you mentioned; however, we must also teach our children how to disagree respectfully and that there are times when we are not going to always agree and that should be okay.

    • @Sean Pizzo: I don't have to prove anything to a low-life like you, but I am a black American female who has always been middle class. I have lived in both all-black and mixed communities which were nice middle class/working class communities in the Southeast. I could respond to creatures like you until I was blue in the face, but I am not going to waste my time because it would spoil your narrative and opinion of black people. So SAD to be you! You live you "life" through the internet. Now SLITHER back to your "Breibart/Fox News" bubble, and allow the rest of us to live in the REAL world where people of ALL races are educating/training themselves for better lives, and treating all people with RESPECT as INDIVIDUALS regardless of race/ethnicity.

Michelle Obama grew up with the intelligent mind, smart and a good heart starting at a young age. There are many quotes and lessons these two amazing women shared...so many wise words. 'Practice what you want to be someday". As a little Michelle, she learned a lot from her parents especially her mother and she emulated her parents of how they were raised and she applied them with her 2 daughters. "You are not raising children but you are raising adults."
