  • *_No matter how tough or unfair the circumstances I am facing, I will remain unstoppable. 💜_* *"Special Test Info | Spoiler."* -For people who doesn't know, there's a special test which both Classes will fought in some particular events, surprisingly Class C (Horikita's Class) was able to keep up.. Their score was three wins and three loses, up the next was the long-awaited seventh and final event, through a mischievous twist of fate, that event that was chosen was.. Chess. Ayanokōji without hesitation activated his trumpcard, He chose Horikita Suzune, Sakayanagi on the other hand, chose Hashimoto Masayoshi. Ayanokōji and Sakayanagi is the commander, they can give instructions to their respective player for up to a maximum of thirty minutes at any time. The allotted time in Chess event was 1 Hour. *Horikita vs Hashimoto | Spoiler Alert* Horikita has the first move advantage. As the game steadily progress, she gained the upper hand. As Horikita's victory is beginning to look like reality, Sakayanagi entered the match with absolute confidence. *Horikita vs Sakayanagi | Spoiler Alert* Every time Horikita made a move, Sakayanagi took less than five seconds to counter it. She responded immediately, her moves targeting the chinks in Horikita's armor. Any chance at victory that Horikita had secured was erased in the blink of an eye. Two minutes, three minutes. Horikita couldn't make a move anymore. *Ayanokōji vs Sakayanagi | Spoiler Alert* Ayanokōji gave a signal indicating that he's going to jump in and take the baton from her. The Battle between Horikita and Sakayanagi is now over, it was now Ayanokōji against Sakayanagi, one on one. Ayanokōji and Sakayanagi continued talking while their hands flew across their keyboard, never stopping. They both spent from ten at most twenty seconds on each move. Having watched the game, everyone is shock. Ayanokōji has made no mistakes, however his hands stop this time. Something's happening (will be revealed in next paragraph) things had been going smoothly for Sakayanagi, but she now took longer to make her moves. One minute. Two minutes. Three minutes. Sakayanagi was lost in thought for the second time. She is now silent. As her time continued to count down, she added something else before making a move. "This is the end." Ayanokōji has been checkmate, via sacrificing the queen. *The Reason Why Ayanokōji Loses | ⚠️* It was revealed that during their game, there had been a number of instructions where Ayanokōji's moves takes lengthy period of consideration. Even after inputting everything on the keyboard and pressing the enter, there was almost a thrity seconds delay before the instructions were received. It was because the the instructions were tempered with. Sometimes, what Ayanokōji had inputted and what came out were different. Tsukushiro stated that, "Ayanokōji was planning to use some different combinations of pieces, it was even better move than the best computer could've come up with." It was stated that even though Tsukushiro has significant number of personnel and even a dedicated machine in place, they are still force into making an extremely difficult decisions. Take note that Ayanokōji stop playing Chess for more than 5 Years, and since Chess is now about memorizing stuff, Ayanokōji could easily excell to the top given by the fact that he has a perfect memory.

  • Sakayanagi: *plays 4 moves, one of which is a terrible blunder (intentional)* Eval: +1.3 after Bxh6 and equal after any other sensible move. Horikita: "I can't keep up with her. Lend us your strength. Ayanokoji-kun" Also Horikita played chess for only 1 week. There's no way she's 1800. Sakayanagi must around 2600 by narration, I believe, but here black played like a 1500, considering they had 30 minutes in total. In this game Ayanokoji didn't clutch a losing position but delivered a nice checkmate. Not the best interpretation of a chess game from the novel, but the edit is really nice. Good job.
