I think empress of light is just a check of your buffs and armor really, its really hard to dodge alot of the attacks especially on mobile XD but there's a few ways to minimize damage to make it so you can have more dps time and then have a heal and dodge a bit. Moon lord is much easier imo because his attacks are a bit easier to dodge and he's basically an over glorified skeletron and you had to have fought 2 by now,empress of light is just so not like really any other boss fight that it often takes a few times of getting used to her attacks to beat her. I feel bad for all hardcore players who die because they accidentally killed a prismatic butterfly while fight other enemies and didn't see it

No, it's got a longer range and lower power than Star Platinum. Not that Star Platinum would do well in a terraria fight. It's lack of movent and range make it easy prey for the S.D.M.G.
Its best use would be defense. Physical attacks can't hurt stands and Star Platinum is fast enough to stop bullets

Just remember that the Moon Lord is a weakened form of Cthulhu. He only has 00000000.1% of Cthulhu's power. If Cthulhu and all of his body parts reunited along with all bosses in Vanilla terraria then its game over for Mr. Stardust Dragon.
For me (melee main) it’s so surreal, that an end game armor has so little defense. But at least offense is pretty good and insanely cool looking. Also this might be one of the best sets to fight enraged empress of light, because you it doesn’t matter how much defense you have and you can focus on dodging
The best set to fight empress out of all is probably the hallowed summoner set. The focusing on dodging and still dealing huge damage is the main thing for summoner
Honestly the entirety of summoner can be pretty surreal for melee mains. Like, due to Obsidian armor's status as 1. The only whip buff armor in the game 2. An armor set with a set bonus way too strong, even after being nerfed It can be a viable option for all of the game. And it only has 15 fucking defense. Oh yeah, there's also the fact that Tiki is the highest-defense non-OOA pre-ML summoner armor set but it's actual fucking trash
You know you can just TRY TO NOT GET HIT IN ANY FIGHT. Well it is a bit fun to tank your way through getting gang banged by a bosses attacks i must admit
Actually in every game the people who atacks in distance have low defense because it atacks at distance u can keep running and dont get dmg and atack only to behind thats why

"Ruthless" would've been a better modifier for the Stardust Dragon Staff for this challenge - it has more damage, minions can't crit so crit doesn't matter, and knockback is pretty much irrelevant here. Also, the expert mode extra accessory slot would make a huge difference, as would "Menacing" equip reforges (24% damage boost possible off of reforges alone w/ 6 accessories)

That vortex booster and Ankh shield could've been a free armor slot for another summoner item.
Knockback immunity is good for dodging
But the beetle you buy from the witch doctor stacks with summon emblem also he had all warding instead of all menacing . He lost out on like 60% buff in damage

This is my girls favorite pet lol I try telling her to use the new sword pets that were recently added but shes all about the star dragon hahaha we had an invasion while she wasnt at the computer and it was on master mode and im all trying my hardest to stay alive but i move to her part of the screen and her star dragon was killing every single mob just on repeat. it was badass
quick tip: for every summon in the game excluding blade staff and maybe finch staff, ruthless is the best modifier because of the extra damage and because the extra knockback provided by mythical isn't that helpful for most summons. blade staff cannot get modifiers that affect knockback so pretty much anything that boosts damage past 14% is good for blade. For whips legendary is the best reforge, and unless you are playing around blade staff in particular, you should reforge all your accessories to menacing. (warding if using blade staff)
Mythical isn't actually a good modifier for the Dragon Staff, Ruthless is the best for summon weapons. The critical chance, knockback, and speed do literally nothing to summons as they cannot do any of that, mana cost doesn't really matter as you don't need much mana to summon them anyways. Ruthless is the best as it has the highest damage.
Yeah, I only use mythical on my imp staff while I am getting the bee stuff. Otherwise I use ruthless

i usually use mythical because it’ll be faster to summon them, also if you use a whip it can be useful because minions can critical strike after whipping an enemy

I've been trying to set up that kind of epic fight It's an actual achievement to fight all 3 mechanical bosses at the same time So why not add in a few more?

In some of these fights the stardust guardian actually lowers the dps, since its attacking as fast or faster than the dragon
you always use “Ruthless” Modifier on Summoning weapons cause it has the most damage boost.
Love how at a certain point, terraria becomes a bullet hell game

btw im pretty sure if you don't want the guardian to interfere then go somewhere far away and press down and that will set it in that one place until you undo it so that way only the stardust dragon is fighting the bosses
Stardust Gaurdian is basically a reference to jojo's bizarre adventure. I mean its LITERALLY a stand, its name also sounds like a stand.
not to mention Jojo part 3 is literally called stardust crusaders and yet apparently when it was implemented the dev behind it was referencing WoW. After it got pointed out they added the ora ora attack though so that's neat

If you dont want the guardian you can switch out the head if stardust to Spooky. it really doesnt make much difference other than its actually just stardust guardian, and only a tiny bit worse stats
You can also use the summoner emblem to do 15% more minion damage
You know, truth be told I’ve never fought empress on anything but Mastermode and that second phase attack pattern through me for a loop. It’s usually much harder to dodge. Or at least I think so.

So I learned the hard way recently that the twins are apparently the hardest of the mechanical bosses. Glad to see it vindicated here, that im not crazy, where the dragon took THAT long to kill them. Because I felt insane taking so so so many attempts to kill the twins my first time. I was thinking "ahh i need hallowed bars, ill get the easy one out of the way right now"
I think Skeletron Prime is stronger than the rest of the mechanical bosses
For melee, I'd say destroyer is easiest because fetid bagnahks (or whatever the claw things are called) exist
