The idea for the Before Sunrise and Before trilogy came from a night Richard Linklater spent walking around Philadelphia with Amy, a woman he met. They stayed in touch for a while, until contact was lost. Linklater never heard from her again, not even when he became a director and Before Sunrise was released. It was not until 2010 that he found out that Amy had died in a traffic accident before the release of the first film in the trilogy. 🥺

🙂 very true. this, movie, the first one is like a 'how to' guide to impress and flirt with women.
the first two movies of the trilogy is my alltime favourite romantic dramas. and I particularly like the first one which is beyond doubt the best among the three. the whole film in a one day time frame, based on conveesation that deepens the connection between two strangers that affects their whole life is portrayed so accurately in this fllm that one have to fall in love with it if one understands how brilliantly this movie teaches us about flirting and making a first impression and romance. also the storyline of the movie is like a feeling which tells me, 'wish I had spent a day like that!'

@@maimohamed3590 did u see in the thtird movie made after decades of the first two, how the actor significantly looks much younger than the actress? if compared, it looks like time or age has taken a toll on July Delpy much more than Ethan Hawke, eventhough both of them are pssed their middleage.

First one is the best, of course, and the second one is awesome too, but I wouldn't leave the third one out of the equation. I think each part is necessary. Personally, I think I like the third one a bit more than the second one, but that's just my opinion.

It's interesting to ask people what their favorite of the three is, because it tells you a lot about how they view love, or often, their age. I used to like film 1 the most, now, as I'm ageing, I like the second the best I think.
