  • It's funny that YG's best vocalist are AKMU, Taeyang, and Daesung from BigBang and they're not represented on a vocalist channel.

  • P-Nation is the label PSY created after leaving YG, he has (had because they are all leaving for some reason) artist that are either edgy or people that got kicked out of their group (because of CUBE entertainment not liking people dating) to give everybody a proper chance. He now debued his first group after making the show "LOUD" together with JYP entertainment, they are called TNX. Now onto Wakeone. Wakeone is a label that was formerly known as MMO entertainment, but they rebranded it to debut groups created by survival shows like "Produce 101" (I.O.I, Wanna One, IZ*ONE and X1) that later rebranded to "Girls/Boys Planet" (Kep1er, ZEROBASEONE), they will debut a next group after the show "I-LAND 2" finishes recording. Those shows give you a really good insight on what the trainees go trough before debut (I get so much respect for them after seeing them practice and going trough tough times). I would recommand you watching Boys Planet or LOUD if you want to learn more about it. It is informative and entertaining, but it takes up a lot of time so you need to decide that for yourself.

Before forming twice, jyp had a lot a plans on buying a new building, making more groups and etc that he putted his confidence in Twice to make it possible. Twice debuted in 2015, when jyp entertainment was struggling economically (his own words). You can really se how much important twice is from jyp entertainment when you enter de building. Twice and 2PM are the only groups that have a practice room personalized just for them, phrases like "twice make it possible", "Twice who build that", "Twice who bought that" are often made by the company worker's, or even idols of the company. Plus, twice was the only group if jyp on the third floor before vcha debuted.

  • Pledis had lots of iconic groups like After school, Nu'est, Orange caramel and Pristin, that suffered cause of poor management. The main reason Seventeen made it and saved the company from bankruptcy was them being self producing from the start in every aspect including song writing, production, choreography, promotion, and more. Thankfully pledis seems to be marketing SVT's junior group TWS fine, but they're still under promoting Fromis9 who are also super strong performers.

  • I've only been listening to kpop for a few years but I find that a lot of groups have the same sounds...very few stand out for their originality...it's even worse for female groups who often have the same basic choreography ...and the talent for singing live is not common...in absolute terms...I find that there are too many new groups that come out over the course of a year...it's the race for the podium that propels young people too quickly on the front of the stage...for my part the only one that stands out and is constantly diversifying is BTS...each song each album has been matured and thought through and the quality of writing, music and choreography . BTS never takes it easy...the 7 members are so talented that during their "hiatus" they continue to dominate the music industry with solos... 🤗

    @MsKaz1000@MsKaz100026 күн бұрын
    • KARD is one of my favorite groups. As for why there is not many co-ed groups may have to do with a few reasons. 1. Dating rumors: many people believe members of the opposite gender can never be only friends and will end up dating each other. Co-ed groups and their agencies would most likely have to deal with more dating rumors then other groups. This has happened to KARD before where an interview asked if the members have dated each other and wouldn’t let it go even after the members said no. 2. Housing: Agencies usually house their idols pre debut and in most cases even after debut in the same apartment. Many parents won’t want their children housed with members of the opposite gender. So agencies would have to pay for more housing. Lastly co-ed groups don’t normally chart in Korea as well as non-coed groups. I believe KARD most likely survived their early years thanks to their large and dedicated fan base in Latin American countries. KARD has only recently been getting recognition in Korea.

  • you should DEFINITELY check out Pentagon, not just that track but their discography in general! They write their own music and the group includes some of the best vocalists in k-pop, their performances live are insane and I personally consider them the most underrated group out there! Love these reactions, they show a lot of different artists and can be a good way to discover new music!

  • I feel like some MVs were too focused on the most recent ones not the older generation (since 2006). BIG BANG was huge and a lot of other for different groups from YG Entertainment were re-uploaded, so the video count isn’t as high. My favorite was 2NE1 and came out a year or two (I think) after BIG BANG came out. Wish the videos showed more older groups that definitely did have high views. I mean Wonder Girls and Miss A aren’t there either. Oh well lol

  • It would have been helpful I think (to people newer to following Kpop) to have the release dates of the songs for added perspective. There are always going to be formulas, but they have just evolved over time. So things from 2006-2013 were created under a different pop formula than those made with the techno & R&B heavy stuff of 2015-2020s vs. the reggaeton formula of late 2010s/early 2020s or the heavier hip hop/rock influenced formulas popular lately (a la Stray Kids). So having that release time perspective would be helpful.

  • The problem with exploring the top of each agency is a lot of the songs WILL sound similar. This due to the fact that many people have very similar tastes when it comes to kpop music. So those videos will shoot up in views eclipsing other songs that are more vocal driven. People like bouncy, dance style driven music. No matter the genre of kpop the song actually is in. If it’s bouncy, catchy, dancy or anything like those it will get the views and shoot them up. Many of these groups shown have extremely talented vocalist and great vocal driven title songs or even b-sides. But they aren’t the type to attract high views because of many reasons. It’s great to see these types of videos (the one your watching) cause you find more songs to your tastes if you like that but if you don’t they will sound repetitive. (I even found a few new songs myself to add so yay) So if you want to see more vocals in your songs you could check out videos geared towards that or check out these groups outside of this video. But other than that great video 👍

  • As an SM kinda girlie. Thinking maybe it moved a bit ? But it makes total sense with SNSD and EXO. Both were giants in their generation. SM has multiple giants especially in the earlier generation as I think the furst company. One of the reasons it is in the BIG 4. SME has multiple sounds and those are : switch ups in songs, vocals and r n b kinda songs. The first one is aparent in Title tracks of albums and singles while the other 2 rather bsides. I recommend to you their yearly collabs from 2021 and 2022. SMCU EXPRESS and SMCU PALACE. The songs on there really show what SM is known for.
