Hustler Raptor SDX 500+ HOUR REVIEW | 3 Years Commercial Use
In this video, we go in-depth and review the 2019 Hustler Raptor SDX 48" Zero Turn Mower after 500 hours of use. We used this mower commercially for over 3 years. Defiantly a lot of pros and cons, so I hope you watch all the way to the end to catch everything. Enjoy!

I have been looking into purchasing a raptor xdx... thanks for this review! I especially like that you put the Donaldson air filter onto it👍👍
Great review Fill! Really can’t wait to see the Staris review 😉
Hey Fill, thank you for your remarks. This is most helpful.
Thanks!
Good review I like that you prefaced that this is a residential mower being used for commercial. I just traded my raptor limited for a raptor xdx. Raptor limited was great but only put 380 hrs on it in 4 years.
Let me mention that I don't own a machine like that but they fascinate me. I really liked your review. Very thorough. Now, when you said your machine is tracking to the left, my first thought was maybe it's like eyeglasses. Do the adjustment on the opposite side. Pulls to the left, maybe the right is 'loose'. Beyond that, pillows, duct tape, and stop beating up trees. Lol.
Hey Fill, great video with all the insights. My guess on the tracking issue is that one of the hydraulic pumps is going bad. Good luck.
GREkAT DETAIL FILL. I have a 2000 John Deer Riding Law Mower. At 22 Years Young I Have Kept It in Minty Condition. The Headlights Work Great & Still Same Never Have Had To Change Them. I Change The Oil Twice Year & Filter & Gas Filter. Have Bought 3 Batteries & Take The Battery Out Ever Fall & Inside. Put Treatment Fluid In The Tank When Goes To A Late Fall To Early Spring Sleep. The Blades Have Been In Great Condition. always, Tommy

Good job and God bless 🙏🙏
I have a 2018 sd raptor with 350h. I've replaced a steering damper, belts and done oil changes. I put on big bite tires, the canister air filter and made my own grass chute lift. Mine is stored outside all the time, so it looks rougher than yours but has held up well for a residential mower that I use for a lawn care business that has 25-30 bi-weekly customers. I agree that the air filter upgrade is worth the cost, those stock filters get grass under them that will hold water and rot out the filter, allowing dirt into your engine.

At 410 hours, I had to replace the hydro mounts, fronts broke and one side one bent. It has 475 hours now. I'm considering upgrading to the fastrak but those are 9k and my raptor is paid for.
Nice bro hustlers are a great mower
I very briefly had a 54” FasTrak for my acreage and I always had issues with buildup under the deck. I could only mow about an acre before the bottom of the deck was so caked up with clipping that it would stall. It was caked on so hard I commonly had to use a chisel and hammer. I weighed what I got out of it one time and it was 78 pounds from just one cleaning. I tried different blades with no luck. I sold it and bought a cheapy Cub Cadet from Home Depot and haven’t had any problems since.

Did you change the hydro oil. Nice review.
Great review what size are the tires?
Have you ever tried flat tire spray in the front tires? It kinda seals the tube and also prevents air loss. Some are even spraying foam into them. And there are YT videos on how to repair broken plastic. Tom 😎
I don't like that spray stuff
Great overview Fill, learnt a lot from that. Do you think the alignment issue (pulling to the right) could be a weight distribution issue with the bagger assembly on the side? Just a thought trying to figure out why it's happening... Take care bud.
Thank you :)
Would your seat be able to hit the engine if the seat wasn’t wobbling around on the extra springs?
Good video
Thanks
Great video what kinda of mower are you gonna buy
Not sure yet on my next purchase
Is the air cleaner conversion very expensive? Good things pointed out that can cause problems. Thanks!
It's about $220
I had a problem with my zero turn tracking to left. It turned out to be excess air in Hydraulic lines after servicing the Hydraulics
Thanks for sharing Vance. I'll have to check my hydros out
How many hours have you put on a mower before replacing it ? I have a Husqvarna riding mower that has almost 2200 hours on it
After 500, I start to look for a replacement
Will you still use the hustler for next year or will you sell it?
I'm trying to sell it this year
Link for air breather??
It's now in description. Sorry for delay
Duck tape lol
It's not Jimmy rigged,it's called Jerry rigging.
Oops haha that's what I meant
