I say keep the people in the bird image. They add a sense of depth
10:45... that is what it is all about! I think keep the people, and that's one of the best dune photos I've ever seen!
I agree with you!
It's like Arrakis and the Fremen people.
Agree Mads and nice finding you here.
You know it's a great photo when Mads is here to say it is!
I am super excited to share this one with you all. I really hope you enjoy it!
Can't wait!
Pure magic Michael. Really enjoy your videos alot. So calm, beutifull and stunning compositions on the photos and videos. Thank you so much for these.
I can see why you were excited to share this vlog with us, STUNNING! I also love the calmness in your voice, it truly matched the serene and quietness of where you were. Enjoyed your vlog? Nah, I LOVED it mate! 👌🏻
I think the people add an element of balance in the image with the bird. Looking forward to part 2.
“Somewhere soft to sit” and a great cup holder wherever you sit!
I like it with the people in, it adds balance but it also draws your eye from the bird across the whole scene to the people and I just love it for that
Definitely keep the people. They provide a sense of balance with the bird in the opposite corner. Amazing images throughout!
The one without the people puts the attention on the bird, but the one with them adds the sense of scale and more of a story...what an image!
This is so inspirational, and of course, the last image with the people is better as it creates a sense of scale in the background in addition to the bird in the foreground.
People out for me! It simplifies the picture focussing on the bird and the nice dunes. Well done, I love DV!
Thoroughly enjoyed all the shots, hard to choose a favorite. Looking forward to part 2!!!
Wow! The last image with the bird is the most beautiful dune photo I have ever seen. You are an inspiration! I now want to go and photograph some dunes!
Ahhh man this is just incredible, I love these videos. Great work!
Loved the photo with the people in the background and the shadow of the bird. It had something of Escher in it.
Man, your abstracts are epic!!🤩🤩
They are spectacular images. Beautiful work.
Keep the people in the photo. They provide a reference point for a sense of scale. Amazing photo!!
Love your photography, videos and love of/fascination with the environment!
Love your style, Michael, and how you *see* things. Your images are so gorgeous.
You are a master of the sand dunes! Loved the photos and look forward to part two.
Awesome one Michael.....its just so peaceful to watch this video...its ethereal the way you and nick shot death valley....
Serendipity of a "boring" blue sky day! Several bangers! I like the people on the dune far away, it creates a relation to the bird, keep it that way : )
Really enjoyed this video and love hearing you tell your story. Thank you for sharing and look forward to watching part 2
Some really beautiful shots. Great work.
Wow, those shots are incredible...
Beautiful pictures!
Simply sublime imagery.
Awesome - i like it with the people, adds to the story & scale
Gorgeous Place and gorgeous Images!
Gotta love the pic you shot while seated at 8:58. The almost perfectly straight line across the dune in the center divides the image in 2 equal halves. It makes it look like a composite. Well done Michael!
Very cool shots of the dunes love the shadows in the dunes 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Oh wow! The picture with dunes, the people in the background, the bird in flight and the sand blowing is INCREDIBLE. I like it much better with the people in the photo. Thanks for the content!
Keep the people in. That shot is magical! I'm getting crazy fantasy vibes, looks like a book cover!
Love the shot with the bird and I like the people on the people on the far peak for scale. The eye goes right to the bird and then follows an imaginary trail through the dunes to the people. Wish I had seen this before I went to White Sands a couple years ago. Can't wait for part 2. 🙏🏻Your videos are so inspiring man! Great work! Thank you 🙏🏻
Fantastic images Michael! The last one in particular was just superb! I definitely prefer the version with the people as it changes the image from an almost abstract scene to one that tells a story.
Beautiful! Great images!
Awesome shots, absolutely love them. Great work.
Great dune shots, the still with a bird is definitely outstanding. People in the background draw additional attention to the image and balance the overall picture perfectly.
Hi Michael, fantastic set of images. Love your work. I am planning to head that way soon actually. Very inspiring to see your work and share your adventures on this channel. Godspeed!
People in, draws your eyes back after the bird. The patterns at the beginning were fantastic.
I like the one with the people and the bird. Great compositions and pictures, can’t wait to see the part 2.
One of your best videos. Truly some lovely work as well. You are so honestly you and that is what is special! Great inspirational work!!!
That last one is outstanding! My favorite from this one!
I like the people in the image. Really enjoyed this video. Beautiful images.
Amazing photos, the last with the bird and the people is definitely epic! The "tiger back" one is quite impressive too. Very successful trip and part 1 video.
Definitely keep the people in the scene, great sense of scale and story telling, some fantastic shots Michael !
That..s a great walk through death valley Michael. I find all the photo’s great. But i like the ones whitout people and the bird. These are so ...... well composed. I love the tranquility of them. Thnx.
Such beautiful images. Not only do I love the contrast in light/shadow, but also the contrast in textures From velvety smooth to rough. The subtle colour gradients are superb.
The detailed shots were just epic. And for the last photo I prefer the people in the images give it a feeling of being at a remote place.
Art piece, very inspiring mate. Well done.
Great vid, Michael. Love the shot toward the end with the bird-particularly without the people. DV never disappoints.
Just absolutely amazing pictures. I think leaving the people in the picture gives a great scale of the dunes so I would leave them in the picture. Great work and can't wait for part 2.
You have captured serene beauty in a desolate place; beautiful images Michael. You have a fine eye for composition. Definitely like the version with the people and the bird; balances nature with a human element, and gives the image scale. Look forward to Part 2.
Such beautiful images man! I need to make my way out there some time.
Awesome dude!! Those pictures with the bird are fantastic. The one with the people is stunning! Definitely the people far away in the highest dune with the sand being blown add some kind of mystery and you can guess or imagine a story. That one if my fave. Congrats!
Gorgeous images. I prefer the shot with people in it for scale. Beautiful work!
I love the image with the shadow of the bird even with the people in. Great shots thanks.
Stunning! The last shot is best with people in - it adds scale but they do not detract, in my view. They add a “hey, wait!” moment when seeing this image. Great stuff, thank you.
Very fun video, I love the people in the background of the photo.
You're so talented! Every photo in this video was a masterpiece. Hope to shoot like you do someday!
Left us with a great cliffhanger. Now I can't wait for the next episode.
haha I am finally learning how to do this whole KZhead thing ;), thanks!
Shadows, textures, angles, shapes all making great composition after great composition! Glued to this one Michael, hehe made me chuckle with the soft seated comment. This video will be one I will come back to time and time again. When I got out and shoot, I love to get many images. You had a heap, a galleries worth of outstanding photographs. Bird shadow wow! Thank you for another great series of images and a walk around the desert 🐪
Love the bird shot, including the people! Thanks Michael!
Can’t even imagine how part 2 can be better than some of these shots...great stuff 👍🏻
Very inspiring Loved how you found such great shots in those conditions great to see someone focus on composition not gear
Amazing shots. Just picked up this glass and can't wait to get some new shots.
The people on the ridge add scale and balance to the bird in the lower right. Excellent images. Thanks
I like the people in the picture because of the sense of scale it provides. The bird and its shadow is way cool!
Those are some amazing images. Especially the one with the bird. Has a painterly mood. Thanks for the vlog!
Thanks so much Frank!
The music when you preview each photo sounds really soothing. Great work as always!!
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks so much!
Love this. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful!
Bravooooo! Leave the people on the composition. it just looks so great like that!
Defiantly keep the people in. Thank you, WOW, your photographs are amazing. I love this type of photography and I will be taking my 100-400 out very soon.
Keep the peeps!! Gorgeous images!! Proof that beautiful images can be made under cloudless skies!! ❤️👏🏻
Absolutely! Hey thanks so much!
Stunning!
Wonderful video...one of the best I've seen in quite some time!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much!
Wonderful shots and video. I like to have the people in the scene.
...amazing pic with bird and people !!!
Some really nice images overall. Totally worth the trip. Thanks for sharing these.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
@@MichaelShainblum I was not totally forthcoming. Some of those dune images blew me away. That is why I said the trip was worth it; the effort too. I see clearly why you like Death Valley.
Amazing concluding photo 🤩
My favourite image is the one with the narrow ridge running through the middle of the frame, it looks like two entirely separate scenes. Having watched quite a few of your videos recently, you've definitely sold me on getting a 100-400mm lens. So much potential for picking out "moments" in an environment. I'm looking forward to seeing part two! Related, I picked up your basic landscape tutorial, toolkit, and workflow courses and I just wanted to say thanks for the truly useful tools and insight. Going out on Friday night, I noticed an immediate improvement in many elements of my shooting and editing. Well worth the very meagre financial expense and I plan to invest in the more comprehensive ones in the near future. You're a great teacher, it's much appreciated.
Definitely with the people in the picture, as you said it adds an element of scale to the dunes as they are far away
7:44 in, that image is absolutely breathtaking!
I am really glad you enjoyed that one Laura! Thanks!
Hey Michael, you have inspired me. I looked back at all my Death Valley images since 2002 and 98% of them were wide-angle shots. I think that's because I didn't want to lug around a heavy telephoto all over Eureka dunes. Your compositions shown here are amazing and have changed my mind. Keep the people in the bird shot.
Thank you, Michael. I like the sense of scale that the humans add to your photo with the bird. I am going to Death Valley in Jan, 2022 for the first time. I hope to use some of your ideas on that trip. I look forwarded to the next video.
Wonderful Death Valley photos, and leave the people in the photo.
Absolutely stunning images what a video
Many thanks!
@@MichaelShainblum yet to start on your course which was on sale last week rather busy at work but really looking forward to it’
What an extraordinary image! The addition of the persons in the background helps to tell the story more effectively.
Thanks so much!
Hello Michael, another great video. Very beautiful images of the sand dunes. I like the image with the people on top of the dune looking forward to part two. Greetings.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks! :)
@@MichaelShainblum Yes, I really enjoy that. It was also nice to see Nick again. Hope for more.
Thats truly an epic photo in the sand dunes with the bird and the people! Keep them for sure! Adds so much story to the shot. Gratz on that photo!! =)
Great video and amazing photos ! I prefer with the people in the photo, it adds a lot of dimension to the photo in my opinion ;)
Great shots, specially the one with bird and it’s shadow
I agree that the people in the background add scale and a sense of adventure! Human and bird both doing their own thing, enjoying the dunes in their own way.
Keep the people!!!! They add a realistic warmth to the shot. Great video and looking forward to part two...
Thanks Jeffrey!
Obviously the last one 😍 great to see you mike 💯❤️🙏
The pictures are amazing, You found beauty in sand.
A bit surprised your not showing more DIY in camper renovation, as is the trend🤣. Wonderful inspiring Images. Thank you .🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
Amazing work Michael! It looks like so much fun to be out there!
Thanks Craig, agreed! :)
