    • Since I first heard that V4 10 years ago, revving high and approaching from the distance, I dreamt one day owning an RSV4. Last weekend I sold my Tuono 660 and got Tuono V4 2022 same day, with 2000 miles and Arrow Pista pipe. That engine is really something special. I can't get used to power, always brings smile to my face. And when I start it up in the garage it's literally shaking everything around, waking up dead.

    • I was briefed and advised on the RSV4, but the Panigale V4 has been my dream bike since a long time ago. I finally got the Panigale but judging by your videos as well as the sound of the RSV4 Factory from 650ib, I can definitely said that Aprilia has the best sound w/o doubts. I might go for the RSV4 as my second bike. Great video, new subscriber!

  • I bought the first 2021 RSV4 to hit Kansas City. It was the 33rd bike off of the Aprilia assembly line. Overall, I loved the bike but I had nothing but problems and my local dealership is absolutely horrible! Be grateful that your dealership gave you another RSV4 when you had issues. My dealership wouldn't work with me at all which made the entire ownership experience evern worse. I told myself when I bought the Aprilia...I'll give it two years, when the warranty is up, if I have had good luck then I'll keep it, otherwise, I'll get rid of it. Welllll, after two years, I traded it in for a brand new 2023 Hayabusa. Do I miss riding the RSV4??? Absolutely! Do I miss dealing with the all of the oil leaks, fork seal leaks, stator issues, and the horrifically bad dealership....NOPE!

I love how your video accurately tells the viewers that this bike has 217hp! Most people on KZhead say it has 199 or 213. My favorite feature of my rav4 is the smooth as butter quick shifter! Up or down you can even go into neutral with it!

  • I just sold my 2023 s1000rr to buy a 2022 rsv4 factory. I love it so much more than my s1000rr. The bmw is dull on the road and the engine is so mechanically noisey. The aprilia has a mechanically quiet engine that delivery so much more grunt than the bmw that it makes the bike very exciting to ride. I litterally am giggling like a child when I ride it. That is until now, limp mode 4 times so far. Urgent service alarm keeps showing on the dash. The bike has only 800 miles on it!!!!!!

  • Awesome video! Been looking forward to what you were about to say with the reliability part. As a mechanic myself I will say this, the other comments are right. Literally almost all of them unfortunately. Ducati’s definitely have their issues. So does the new Triple R Fireblade, Suzuki just can’t seem to get their fuel pump issues right HOWEVER that may change in 24 finally. I think Aprilia knows what the problems are. It’s just a matter of reworking the schematic design of the motor and electronics part.

    • Did you try WOT? You should see my arms.. completely disproportionate to the rest of my body 😂

      @PetroHead@PetroHead24 күн бұрын
    • As the laps progressed, I got on the throttle sooner and held it for longer. Those first few WOT's were a real shocker. I would basically be stuck in whatever position I was in 2-4th gears. The standard shift threw me off too. But downshifting from 6-2nd gear felt great with the autoblip and pressing DOWN on the shift lever. The bike was smarter than me. I accidentally tried up shifting the wrong way but the bike wouldn't allow it. The electronics totally saved my butt several times riding at an A group pace with the traction control, wheelie control, and the autoblip lockout (for idiots that forgot how to standard shift).

  • I had a USA Werkes GP slipon exhaust and the rest was standard. I did on an open clean road on the clock 325 km/h and on the gps it was 320 k/h that is 200 mph where it was governed and refuse to go faster and it is like 4200 feet above sea level loosing a few HP compared to sea level. I love Ducati and especially the SP2 and R, but can buy an Aprilia like yours and a dual purpose bike for Ducati's price. I am in my 60's, in shape and experience the Aprilia RSV very comfortable in all riding conditions and enjoy when the young generation looks at me what are you doing here on track old man and then leave them behind, but I'm just a fairly fast normal guy and not a pro racer. I did beat a pro racer on a 1000 Honda once in a track session when we had a full on race between the 2 of us lapping some other guys up to 3 times and that was still on my V2 old Aprilia. I will buy Aprilia anytime again.

They sound so great, and they're so stable in their cornering that you feel like you can't crash one on the track. I turn off wheelie and traction control and let her dig in. • Thank you for the review, great video. I remember when I got my license a few years back that I went to an "Aprilia" test day 1 month after getting passing my test. The RSV4 Factory (2021 version, red and purple livery - absolutely stunning) was the first sport bike I've ever driven and it was an out of this world experience given my total lack of experience at the time. It felt like sitting on top of a rocket that just wanted to take off, the noise and the vibration of the engine was fantastic. I do suspect (or I'm hoping) that Aprilia update the RSV4 at EICMA this year to keep up with BMW and Ducati. I'm also hoping (but less hopeful) that Yamaha finally updates the R1. It feels like Yamaha is updating every bike expect the R1, even the Niken got updated this year!

    @brianweir1366@brianweir13668 ай бұрын
    • Aprilia has no incentive to update the RSV4 because unlike Ducati and BMW, they aren't racing. Racing teams like Ducati and BMW always need to evolve to stay competitive and because Aprilia no longer races, they don't update like the other manufacturers. Therefore, I doubt you'll see any changes being made. The only changes you'll see for the retail market are new colors. PS: The day Aprilia races in WSBK and MotoAmerica will be a great day for RSV4 owners.

  • Great video, thanks! I've been hearing a lot of the issues on the 22 onward models that you mentioned, so I went for a low mileage 2019 instead. And although the bike is not perfect (also the starter issue and it seems to get hot quite quick), up to this day I'm very happy with it. I also made a lot of mods to it, and as it is now, it's the best bike I ever had (I've been around riding at least 30+ years). If you have one, ditch the standard muffler, and replace the standard ECU map asap, as that one is optimized for the ever increasing emissions demands and is not going to benefit the health of this bike, nor the pleasure of riding it.

They solved it for me with an update because some sensor failed and at the moment everything works fine 🤞🏻🤞🏻. I think the same as you with everything you say in this video. I had the BMW S1000RR hockenheim silver from May 2021, I ended up fed up with vibrations in the mirrors, electronic suspension that was not working well, rear shock absorber made noises and they changed the oil pump at 10,000km. I converted from a 2021 Ducati V4 which I purchased from Corey Alexander and the good folks @ Hudson Valley Motorcycles where $5k only got me an Akrapovic exhaust which woke the Ducati V4 up but it was like riding a pizza oven in the summer! With so many changes happening (Euro 5, countless government restrictions, introduction of electric motorcycles etc.) I’m afraid we’re transitioning to a vanilla’ish world. I can’t drive an electric vehicle because I will fall asleep behind the wheel. The connection we have as motorcycle riders has a lot to do with that thrilling combustion engine grunt. I never want to disconnect from that feeling I instantly felt from my first ride on the RSV4. In fact, I’m considering a Tuono V4 1100 to ride as often as I can.

Other than updating the ecu at the dealer and the disappearance of about 1.5 or so liters of oil every 3k miles mine has been great. Got the upmap with the race map installed, k&n air filter, leo LV-10 exhaust, woodcraft rearsets, sato tie downs and an exhaust hanger. Been to Chuckwalla and Fontana track days. It might not be the best looking bike but it performs so damn well and sounds so good. The s1k in my opinion is much better for the street. It has a comfier riding position by a little, BMW's quick shifter makes the rsv4 feel very dated, and overall just feels so smooth at all rpms. Not mention, the 23' s1k's look SO good. Oh yes.. Get it changed under warranty before it runs out. Usually happens when the tank is full of gas. I am looking to sell my V4 Factory due to the engine heat issues. Just cannot live with it anymore. Better when a race can and. map is fitted but I want to leave the stock can and it just runs to overheat shutdown far too often. Has to go, even though I love the bike. ☹☹

Aprilia's quality, fit&finish, and reliability is laughable compared to any of it's competitors. I'm glad I sold mine when I did as they aren't even accepted as trade-in's around here due to all the problems. The engine is a lot of fun if you manage to win the lottery and get an RSV4 that doesn't randomly pull to the right, have bulging gas tanks and panels, dropped bolts in-transit, or overheat when riding under 60mph. 10 minutes on the forums and you'll see the plethora of nightmare RSV4 posts. • As an passionate Aprilia owner this is first review of any Ap that I have ever extracted myself from less than half way through, absolute plonker , not sure how many Ap owners eat a paleo diet and what possible interest it would be in a bike review , I also go to the gym regularly and swim 4 times a week as well but it has nothing to do with my ability to ride my head down arse Aprilia RSV Mille for 500km days in my 70's, also not sure of the need to save a couple of lbs of weight off a 200hp + machine unless you are in the top echelon of motorcycle racing. Everyone to their own I guess,pretty bloody silly really.
