  • It’s impressive how good Toy Story 2 looks to this day. The first one looks understandably dated (even though it’s still great) but by the second movie Pixar had really nailed their animation.

    • Agreed. And Toy Story 2 was particularly deleted and then recovered/recreated in 9 months. Edit: I just found out that it took Pixar 4 years to make the first Toy Story. Compare that to Toy Story 2, a movie that had less time to animate and was almost deleted.

    • On a surface level I totally agree, but after seeing a few TS4 analysis videos I actually think the movie was great and a wonderful addition to the series. Just not enough to be named Toy Story 4. Like they should have the trilogy and then this in a separate category.

    • I agree, it was a good movie, but clearly a cash grab and unnecessary to the plot. I think the Bo-Peep thing could have been resolved with a short where (insert kid here) takes them to the playground and shes seen there, but even that would be excessive. To be fair though I just don't understand the desire to give a toy in a kids movie a love interest.

Spring open wings and helmet, wrist lazer button, karate chop button on the back, flip open wrist com complete with sticker, everything. • The fourth movie was really unnecessary and just depressing for me personally. Like we left on a perfect note in the third where you accept children grow up and have to let go of childhood things. But the fourth is just like "let's ruin the nice sweet sentiment by showing that sometimes toys get too old for kids and they choose to become lost". The fact that Woody chose to leave all his friends that he'd known for years... was just too sad.

It's based on reviews of the movie, so if there are a lot more negative reviews, the tomatometer is green, but if there is 60% or more good reviews than the tomatometer is red. It shows what film critics think, they made a version with popcorn buckets for people that bought tickets to see the film, and it's the same thing, if 60% of the people give it a 3.5 or higher rating it's a red full bucket, if less than 60% give it a 3.5 or higher rating than you'll have a green tipped over bucket. This particular duck was sculpted by hand in 18th century Italy. It has a rich history and is actually quite valuable. What she's examining in particular, is the carving of the rear feathers. • It never clicked before, but the scene at 12:39 where Buzz uses his hand to press in a lock and open the trunk finally gives me closure I needed. Back around the time this movie came out I had a Buzz Lightyear toy, one day I was at my Father's work and used Buzz to not only pull a fire alarm, but to try and press in the lock with his hand. I never could think of why I used his hand on the keyway, but now it all makes sense. Thanks Disney for getting me in lots of trouble back then.

    • Toy Story 4 is pretty awesome all things considered, especially when it has such an uphill battle against people hating it just for existing. I know people go gaga over Toy Story 3, but I honestly think it's mostly for the last 20 minutes. When you look at Toy Story 3 scene by scene it starts to look like the writters were thinking "How can we make every 30 minutes more depressing than the last". and then filled a lot of the cracks with some easiest jokes they could think of, to the point of being cliche ("freak out" during a fashion scene, "dream weaver" when characters fall in love). Keep in mind: I still love Toy Story 3.
