@@samuelx5466 Yes, that was something special also but on Saturday night there was something extra special about it. All Geelong players around the packs were ready to put in and were super vigilant. Stengle went up to another level it that's possible. Guthrie was Dangerfield like. Maybe it was the couple of beers I had consumed that boosted the excitement level but who cares.
Geelong showed once again why they're leading the comp. Dogs were so good the first half. The Cats looked off. Second half they flicked the switch, and the Geelong of 2022 came out!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥They were so dominant!! Scored 9 consecutive goals, kept the Dogs goalless for the 3rd Quarter. It was an impressive win given how poor they started. Great scenes after the match to celebrate Selwood's 350th.
9 straight goals and 12 out of 13... they went from trailing 1 goal to 5 to being ahead 13 goals to 6. From there, they just cruised.

Well done to the Cats. Dogs were disappointing in the second half. Cats have a superior backline. They made Naughton look second rate. Come finals I cannot see anyone beating Geelong. I’m certain it’s their year.
A full forward's job is to receive passes from the mid-field and defense. Naughton and Bruce were fed very little, perhaps because they did not make an effort to lead.

Disappointing for the Dogs. They were so dominant in the first half. It was looking like their best performance of the year. So tight and clean in attack and defense. Then the Cats took over. Dunkley's beautiful mark at 7:03
Well done Geelong, absolutely battered us in the third quarter. If the Bulldogs play like they did in the third quarter again I doubt we'll make finals. Full credit to Geelong, were much better than us on the day and deserved the win.

Congrats to the cats, after trailing for most of the first half they were able to fight back in the 2nd and got the job done in Joel Selwood's 350th game. The doggies challenged the cats for the first half as well as a bit of the second half but the cats were ultimately too good for the doggies.

Geelong always play well, but one thing I have noticed is that recently when it is an important game for them, they start of really bad and it look like they r going to lose.

I would very much like to know how a team manages to play at top AFL level in one half of a game then sinks to sub VFL level in the other half. I understand the cats increased their effort, but how did that negate the skills of the dogs?
Cats played one of their worst half’s this year. They switched on after half time as they have soo many times this year. Much different to previous Geelong teams that wouldn’t have flipped a switch when down.
@@Swizzy-D The reality is that the cats switched on against a team that has very poor defense. Once Geelong's mid-field got on top, the dogs collapsed. Melbourne and Richmond will give the cats plenty about which to worry.
