Great video! One of the few channels I'll watch all the way through! Had to laugh out loud at 3:31 "bunch of firery explosive rockets strapped to my body seems like it's dangerous..." had some crazy deja vu! In retrospect I'm not sure why I strapped them to my wrists... You have a good point!
at 13:39 your looking for the character Bayonetta bro shes got guns attached to her feet
at least it didn't explode like elon's did 😳
Remember when you had those static generators in the Thor video, and they let you shoot tiny lightning bolts from your fingers, what if you got a bunch of those to become Electro
It would be so cool if you guys made functional Shang-Chi rings (Marvel/Avengers)
Thanks! Definitely watched your rocket vid a few times deciding if I should try it or not 😂
Props to the mannequins for agreeing to help test the prototypes
The real MVP!
@@JLaservideo Curious what the weight differences are with you vs MQNs. Like, I would be attaching weighted clothing on them just to balance it out for testing purposes (best part of weighted clothing is they can be reused even if something happens to the dummy).
@@JLaservideo Yeah lol
@@JLaservideo Bro you could have tried Pogo sticks for the prototypes!
Now attach rockets also to the jump shoes😂
I used to watch this guy make diy stuff and now he's almost a super hero
Buff mario
he is already a super hero
wait wdym
"almost"?
You don't know a fictional character who shoots enemies with weapons attached to their feet? Bayonetta. You have become Bayonetta. Get yourself some leather.
i think allen pan did something similar a few week ago. it just shows how cool super jump is, if two independent people develop it.
They’re good friends haha

Jow about a more advanced iron man suit?
This guy breaks so much world records, guinness world records have already stopped giving him awards.
16:30 you are very lucky your knees bent there
How about the OPPOSITE of jumping shoes? Shoes that will cushion your fall as you land so you can drop from loftier heights without hurting your legs. Might be a little more difficult to test.

Would be cool to see “double jump” shoes using the rockets maybe? Do a normal jump then mid air have the rockets or some other mechanism shoot you up higher. Great video!
bro thinks he namor
That will be a bit hard
The concept of double jumping takes so much energy it’s insane. Unfortunately it’s defo out of reach for even JLaser 😔
that would be so cool
Yes
just mad respect to the guy who set the world record without any of this
You're such a boss. Love your content. I usually watch youtube videos on x2 speed, but your videos i watch at normal speed, and i even rewatch some.
Well done, that’s sick. You could add a “exoskeleton” on your legs to support your knees at higher pressure
This is uncannily similar to Allen Pan's video, it even followed such a similar path of ideas.
fr
Allen kinda stopped at the point of the first piston shoe. He took it one level further
I knew I had Allen deja Vu
Allen has roasted and recreated his builds before. Feels like fair play. I do wish he'd referenced Allen's build though.
I thought the same thing
oh man, that last jump in slow mow had me crackin up. That facial expression is priceless. Good stuff.
I remembered years ago when I was still a kid watching another kid try to make Spider-Man web shooters and pen guns. When your face was still hidden away. You’re amazing, man. Good job. Much love, respect, and a hope to continue to see you prosper.
Alan Pan just did this exact same thing with Co2 air cartridges!
00:12 3rd* Peter walked on the water too.
witch peter
I read once about a russian man who made piston shoes, where each step compressed the gas for ignition leading to an immediate jump He used them for running though, not vertical jumping. Another one I read about was a U.S. military design with compressed gas being released out of a nozzle to jump and land with a compressed air cushion
There's gotta be some leg brace you can create to withstand that entire 1k psi. The problem would be making sure your knees can adequately bend for the landing, though
The engineering in this is insane, but this also comes to show the record deserves its place.
Awesome video! The gun shoes mode reminds me of Bayonetta, which makes me wonder what a Mario mod for Bayonetta would look like
J-onetta
Same thought, shooting from the feet reminded me of bayo
Immediately thought of her shotgun shoes
That’s exactly what I thought
Ya-hoo!
Early into watching this i was going to say make them shoot from your feet when you kick. I do martial arts and that would be so fun to play with. Glad you added it to this vid. Real cool.
I just have an idea for an old video, the captain amerca shield one, if you wanna make it bulletproof you should put some bulletproof fabric, most of them are pretty light so that probably doesnt affect the weight at all!
You deserve full youtube honors. An asmr video probably gets 2m views for scratching a table. You made a mini film with high levels of engineering and you deserve 10x that. Bravo sir. And congratulations on the result, so glad you came out successful and with minor injuries. I thought for sure you would rig a pad to slide in directly after takeoff, but you took every jump to the solid surfaces. Even when there were loose metal pipes underneath. Wow.
Yeah,.
I agree!
allen pan is quaking in his boots
Quaking in his own jump boots
@@eugenes5991 exactly
Retractable running/jumping stilts would be cool. So that you could go from walking to running extra fast with the push of a button.
idea: for a safety feature, make the bottoms of the pistons rounded so that they tip over easier after they fall out, because it wouldnt be very good if one of them just so happened to stay standing up after they came out and your foot landed on it. it would either stab into your foot or make you tip over and land on your side
but it could also mean that you lose ballance couple miliseconds or less after launch when they are still touching both the mechanism and the ground, while the flat ones still give a certain sense of ballance :) ? ( not sure tho)
I like that idea, but it might hinder the effectiveness of the piston to only make contact with the ground at a single point instead of an entire surface. It may also introduce some undesired uncertainty in your thrust direction if any of the rounded pistons are at different angles with the normal line to the ground
Every bit of entertainment from this guy just affirms to me how great of a guy he really seems to be. How he talks and cares about the thinsg he's doing just kind of tells you some about his character. He genuinely seems like a good guy just living and working his butt off. Kudos Jlaser.
So true!
13:38 @JLaservideo - Bayonetta shoots bullets from her feet.
The pivot from jumping to leg missiles was absolute GOLD 😂😂. Had me in tears from laughing!
bro i love your videos i've watched almost all of your videos bro there so good
It has been great seeing you go from a small diy channel to making some of the craziest builds on KZhead. Keep it up bro, proud of you.
“We need to do all of this in a very clever and safe way” “So this is a rocket”
accurate 💀
you should’ve attached the release pins to your pants at the optimal bend of your knee so that they released after jumping from a squat. that would have eliminated the need to have your legs locked when jumping, and would’ve resulted in a more natural looking vertical!
This man has tought me more than my science class ever will
So this guy is literally Spider-Man now. He made the walk climbers, the shooters, and now a super jump shoe. All he needs is something that enhances his senses. Good job!!
someone already made that lol
Echolocation training with the guy who trained Ben Underwood maybe?
@@gennerallyalrightWait what

Isnt there the hacksmith's spider sense mask?
First off Love all the tech you put out, you and Hacksmith are like IRL marvel engineers Suggestion for a gadget: a track suit that makes you look like the flash or sonic when you run
3:50, i could live my life watching that, it reminded me of the first time i watched your vid (the captain America sheild fight scene) ❤❤❤❤😂😂
If you want to use springs just preload them. The world record jumping robot is spring powered. The advantage over pneumatic is it's symmetric. Your landing forces will be the same as your takeoff forces.
The fact that you sent it on full psi over straight bricks is worthy of a like and subscribe in itself! Props brotha thats some true commitment to the craft right there
I honestly can't believe that this man is not as famous as MrBeast you put so much time, money and work into your vids you deserve to be famous! Lots of love from Ireland!
I agree!
He was in a mr beast vid
Yea let’s go from ireland
That was so awesome it would be really cool to see you build The Bat suit.
The world record for this is absolutely absurd, I never knew how crazy good some people are at what they do until they are compared to metal piston shoes.
The shooting out of your feet thing reminds me of Mercury Black from RWBY. He like shoots these blasts out of his shoes that he can control and manipulate. Pretty neat
Quick science lesson: An airbag actually doesn't cushion you at all. All it does is increase the time of impact, which therefore decreases the force of the impact. An example of this is if you try to catch an egg. To catch it without breaking it, you need to move your hands down during the period of impact.
wait then what's an example of cushioning?
@@zombiecarz Great question, cushioning is done by less dense items that suppress the force of impact
@@jimmyjoe6721 Isn't the bag of air less dense than a steering wheel?
@@jono6379 it is but it is so light that it doesn’t really cushion you, just increases the time of impact
@@jimmyjoe6721 uh- this isn't entirely true cushions work by being flexible enough to compress when an impact hits them, which is exactly what an air bag does. which is why jumping on a bed or trampoline increases jump height. but their only difference is material and one being always active
8:33 To address this issue, I would incorporate pressure sensors and calibrate them to provide a signal at the appropriate pressure level.
You are a bold man Jake!
Hey J laser video! Ur videos are just hella insane! Could u also try to make a Iron Man Nanotech suit that comes from the arc reactor! would love to see it!
did you see the one he already made?
That's a great idea young genius
15:57 the casual Batmobile in the backyard
~13:30 Bayonetta has pistols (or rocket launchers) tied to her feet for a total of quadruple wielding them if you choose to do so (at least in Bayo1). Other than that I was reminded of pile bunkers. Going to look for those next.
Bro is literally unlocking every super hero power one by one.
he is jlaser video and he can do everything he could build flying machines, change history, design robots, but he still chose to do something else; "a jumping shoe" 🗿
bro is 🗿
> flying machines My brain immediately goes to Minecraft flying machines
Make a double jump!! Love your vids❤❤
Once he combines all his different types of super shoes he'll be unstoppable
that max jump test had me dying laughing 😂😂😂 glad you're alright bro hahaha, but also this is just so unbelievably awesome. So amazing and impressive what you can create!! Huge fan👏👏
16:12 looked like it hurted, alot
You should make em in a way where when you walk you build up pressure n then you can release the pressure to elevate at any moment i think that would be cool
This is awesome, but i think you should have constructed some exoskeleton for legs to compensate for all the knee pressure from the landing
The shoe projectiles reminded me of the knee rockets Boba Fett has. A Boba suit would cool video concept with a jet pack launched laser guided rocket. I think you'd be the one to pull it off.
I love your videos and really take inspiration from your engineering prowess, you inspire me to create, thanks! ❤
What about adding a mechanism like a ratchet, that locks your legs in place during the jump and unlocks them when you're falling?
You should make either the suit that shuri wears or the Suit Riri Williams wears from wakanda forever
WOW! Great work, and glad you were okay on that last jump. ❤
Hi! Maybe you should make a real version of Mario's hat from "Super Mario Odyssey", like a boomerang hat that comes back to you after you throw it. love your videos!
Agreed! Great idea!
great video man! what would be cool is a ben 10 omnitrix from the 2005 series of course you cant turn into an alien for obvious reasons, but having one with a working dial, light up face ect would be awesome
I bought one of your web shooters then I saw you made them an I was so happy btw you should make a full iron man suit
Man I love this, just makes me want to go to the garage and build something every time I see your videos!!
Dang, he never fails to impress us
Build yourself your own personal jlaser supersuit with a ton of cool stuff like arm cannons and flying and a flamethrower and with jlaserangs (batarangs)
You could have given up at 30 different points! This is inspirational on 100 different levels!
I love the fact that I can hit the like button before I even really watch the video. Because at this point, I've followed you long enough to already know that the video is going to be great.
This video was awesome to see! I've always loved the idea of doing a "quick dash" like certain characters in video games when they dodge something or for example superman or the flash when they want to move a short distance really fast. It would be awesome if you could make a pair of shoes that could help you dash forward, maybe 5 or 10 feet, really fast. Maybe this can be your next shoe project. Keep up the great work!
Megaman zero?
Zag from Hades
THIS VID WASS AMAZEBALLSS awsome comitment i think you should make a working duel disk from yu gi oh (the one from the kc championship).
you should make a remote controlled shoe that can go in any direction without you needing to turn. That would be very sick!
like a mini differental swerve drive- but on your feet. funny story, when I was building a differential swerve drive FRC robot with my team, we may or may not have put a chair on it a drove around the halls on it before we put the arm on it.
@@K4LEbuilds7 yes, exactly like that
Great video! I had a similar idea but using springs on feet and legs. They would load power when crouching, so the impulse would have the sum of both contracting and expanding body power.
Also love the vid man. AND ILL STOP EATING PINEAPPLE PIZZA!!! If you do the hulk buster suit
Do you think you could automate the trigger release? Like build some kind of pressure sensing device into the shoes, and then design a program that when you've applied enough force into will then release the trigger on its own and launch the pistons. It think this will be a good idea if you ever intend to upgrade the design in the future. That way they could be usable for more than just standing in place.
i had the exact same idea
If anything a photocell will be the best. When it is placed underneath the shoe basically you can always guarantee that it will read out no light when the shoe is placed flat on the ground. When jumping into the air, some light will naturally come out from underneath and hit it. Not to mention nothing travels faster than the speed of light so this will probably give you the fastest reaction of when you get off the ground. There are several issues with it though like how it can only be used pretty much during daytime and if the sensor gets obstructed by dirt it can lead to unpredictable triggering
you should make a miles morals venom strike type thing to go with your spider man stuff. Great vid btw!
11:17 FREAKING ODM GEAR
Loving the new editing style. It's funny and educational!!!
I swear all of your videos are concepts i’ve seen other people try but you do them SO much better than everyone else
So true!
I wasn’t expecting much from the small rockets but they sent that manikin absolutely FLYING 😂
You can jump higher if you additionally brace the system to your waist so that only your spine is taking the force of the jump and not your legs, because they can take way less 👀
Jlaser out there looking like Mario went to the gym and decided to become the Iron-Man lol
I had this cool idea of using a sort of mini humidifier that attaches to the hand that can look like you have mist/cloud/wind powers.
omf those rockets (2:21) are the same ones (about) I used back in middle school when my rocket club competed in TARC (The American Rocketry Challenge) near D.C!!! so nostalgic LMAO
A skateboard that can go on water and land I love this channel I like the web shooters
Let’s go! Love the content man you have inspired me so much! Keep doing you.
Great Video! I think though a smaller diameter of the tubes would've made it more powerfull, think of it like a garden hose and a preasure washer
The inventions are awesome
Omg! The super kicks reminds me of Rose McGowan’s prosthetic leg that was actually just a gun strapped to her missing leg in Grindhouses planet Terror!😂 I saw that in theatre’s when I was in High school and always wished someone would make a real life version!
This was so dope !! The edit and the project put together made a really fun watch you guys killed it!! 🎉
0:49 in the 90s we called them anklebreakers.
When dude said, "The airbag gently expands" I became worried. There is NOTHING gentle about the inflation of an airbag.
I think that you should make the spider drone in Peters suit from Spider-Man Homecoming
Love your videos bro keep up the good work
Absolutely awesome, this was so fun to watch..... Fantastic work to you and your team dude. Keep the hits coming I'm here with my thumb on the like button buddy. Take care, ~Jonny5🥁
