This video shows how to make a DIY soldering iron tool using a pencil. Pencil graphite can be used as a heating element in a DC soldering iron. Pencil graphite conducts electricity, but its resistance makes it suitable for use as a soldering heating element. In this video, I used a 5V 2A Samsung Galaxy Tab power adapter as the power source.
