@Philip-hv2kcАй бұрын
@@Philip-hv2kc Theirs a difference between operating and being an operator. It can take thousands of hours to become a professional operator. I've put in tens of thousands of hours feeding all types of processing equipment Assembling welding, fabricating repairing. You operate with all your senses and some operators are better than I am... The carrier doesn't leave a lot of time for the family... But if you're young and get on with a good producer it will feed and clothe and shelter and insure your family. It takes a season or two to get the ebb and flow of cash figured out. And once you know how much you got to have it's a matter of figuring it out on the calendar the next year. Good honest work. I can't do it anymore due to unrelated issues.
@ChasL704Ай бұрын
@@ChasL704Thank You. You are certainly right. I'm a retired Operating Engineer (IUOE Local 15, 38yrs ret). I can get anyone to manipulate the controls in less than an hour. But, to be a true Operating Engineer takes thousands of hours plus classroom training. Like a virtuoso musician with a musical instrument, it's a long road before you can do ANY job that the machine is capable of. I was on a job working under the Henry Hudson Parkway in NYC. There were a couple of IUOE Local 14 guys on mini excavators clearing a path for us about 400 feet high on the side of the Palisades. The came accross a huge bolder probably 15 feet in diameter. I as ked the Operator, "What are you going to do now?" He said, "By the time you are finished for the day, this bolder is going to be over there." Pointing to a spot 30 feet away. I said, "Impossable, you cant move that bolder with a mini excavator." (I know how to run an excavator, but that's not my locals jurisdiction, so I don't get much time on them.) Well, at the end of the day, the entire crew went to where the Local 14 Operator was working, to see if the bolder was moved or not. You guessed it. Like magic that huge bolder was moved 30 feet to were he said. I think I had to buy him lunch the next day. That's the differance between an Operator, an knowing how to operate a machine. (I am expert with dozers, loaders, backhoes, road graders, rollers, scrapers, Payhaulers, Off Highway 6x6, Tractor trailers, Lulls/fork lifts, Ditch Witch/ pipe pullers, bobcats, pumps, generators, and every machine covered by my Locals jurisdiction.) But, even though I had a hoisting license (Class C) I am not experienced enough at hoisting or excavators, to consider myself expert on that equipment. Gotta respect the game.

That's what helpers are for. 😅
yeah most have tracks that expand but that one does not seem to which even with a blade would make it unstable as hell... let alone they are extremely slow.
Of course it's unstable doesn't have enough weight. And I'm guessing the center of gravity is higher up on the machine when you sit in it. I would guess it would be more stable and have a lower center of gravity if you drove it while walking beside it. I would also bet it would be a lot better if you figure out some way to put more weight like 100+ lbs (even better if you go above or match your weight) on the bottom of it

imagine i take my son to work and he sees me get on one of these 😂😂 “ dad i can do your job”😂
I work in construction and I’ve seen this used. They’re awesome. You need to dig out plumbing for a basement but don’t have a dirt ramp into it? Get a crane and lower one of these bad boys down there and get the job done.
As a heavy equipment operator of 20+ years, I can think of countless examples of why this machine is a good idea. Sometimes a backhoe just won’t fit. This micro ex would make my life soooo much easier 😂
It weighs 837.8 lbs, don’t lie. I have three of them back in San Antonio texas
I’m not even kidding if this was available in North America I would consider buying one. I don’t have a big enough yard to justify getting a full size tractor but for small earth moving projects around the yard this would be amazing
would be perfect for septic line repairs
So its a trench digger with a seat. 😂
I dunno should a 3 dude with shovels do the job at cheaper prices?
I couldn't help feeling absolutely huge using that.
That excavator goes faster than 1mph…trust me !!
Creative ... Flexible ... Manage to enter the house for drain digging ..
Best part is, if you have a hen that pecks, you can collect the eggs without getting hurt 😅
