@@braetonwilson4296 still have my subaru wrx 41 edition from 01, turbo going strong. Just remember to redline once a week and its been 0 issues for me.

Well done Toyota. I saw one of these in the parking lot the other day and it looks very impressive in person. Thank you Toyota so much for offering this with a 6-speed manual. People, jump on that manual while you can. When you look at the Avalon TRD, Camry TRD and this Corolla Apex you realize how much Toyota has stepped up their game and being Toyotas mean these cars are going to continue to keep running long into the future. The immediate future is looking bright especially with the Corolla GR around the corner. We are looking at the golden age of the internal combustion engine. Word to the wise, if you like any of these cars, find a way to get one more sooner than later especially if you want it to have a warranty because there is coming a time, very soon, when these types of cars will no longer be available.

I’ll give them this, they’re actually making the Corolla more visually appealing. I didn’t care how reliable they were I just didn’t like the way that they looked. That is clearly changing for the better.

I love my Apex, but it's honestly kind of disappointing to see a 2022 model when the 2021 was sold as a highly limited edition.
Given the success of the Corolla Apex Editions, I think it's safe to say that this is going to be a standard trim level moving forward. Sorta like how the Honda Civic Type R is carried into their 11th Gen Civics

2010 Camry, a bigger heavier vehicle than this Corolla, had 169 HP. That is plenty.
Some people just want a reliable commuter car. Plus more power means more money at the pumps.

The Type R Civic laps most tracks faster than supercars.
Honda dealerships near me are charging $60,000 out the door for a new Honda Civic Type R when you include dealer markup, dealer installed accessories, fees, taxes etc. It's overpriced, no thanks.

The Apex costs up to about 28k MSRP and has 169 HP. A Civic EX runs up about 25k with 180 HP. And if you wanted the added accessories you can just get a Sport Touring Civic which runs about 28k while still holding to 180 HP.

There was a Corolla Apex tail gating me home from work the other day, put my 06 Acura TSX in 2nd gear and pulled away lol definitely needs more power. The Corolla XRS on the other hand...👌👍

So basically it looks nice it handles nice but it's still going to get clapped by the civic, and Mazda 3 because of it's pedestrian engine. Toyota need to go back to manual gearbox's / conventional or Dual clutch and a screaming VVT with some boost if they want this to go the way it looks. Currently this is just a marketing effort...
Don’t forget the Elantra N-line too.
It's way cheaper than the competition though.
Also it will last longer then the competition guarantee.
