In late 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin personally monitored the ballistic tests of a new intercontinental missile, the Avangard, which will come into service with the country's missile troops this year. The Avangard marks a new phase in Russian rocket science. Unlike its predecessors and foreign counterparts, it can reach an incredibly high altitude and fly at hypersonic speeds while bypassing missile defense umbrellas. At present, no other missile in the world has the same capabilities. The missile is 130 times more powerful that the explosion that devastated Hiroshima and can travel to its target at a speed of about 24,000 km per hour.
Another Russian weapon which enjoys global superiority is the S-400 TRIUMPH AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM (known as the Growler to NATO). It can detect air targets within a radius of up to 600 km and shoot them down at a range of 400 km. Be it fast-maneuvering cruise missiles or intercontinental ballistic nuclear missiles hurtling earth, the S-400 will detect and take them out. Its key difference from its main competitor, the American MIM-104 Patriot, is its ability to see and shoot down targets from all directions.
Hardware based on the Armata platform and, in particular, the T-14 tank marks a milestone in the development of heavy-armored technology of the 21st century. The T-14 is the world’s first third-generation tank. It is equipped with a 125-mm 2A82 smoothbore gun (with an option to install a 152-mm 2A83 gun) with a fully digital remote control.

The active and passive protection system on the Armata Russian MBT tank is also being designed and developed by the Chinese for the PLA Armoured Fighting Vehicles (including the 4 sensors that detect any enemy Anti Tank missile or shell, plus Decoy Grenade Launchers that can fire anti radar chaff decoys, anti infra red/heat seeking decoy flares and also various types of bombs smoke grenades including advanced designs). I'm not sure if the Chinese system is already in active use or if it is still being developed and tested, but there are several videos on KZhead featuring the system.

Allegedly. All we have are b-roll or CGI clips of these things with no actual detailed AAR's showing that they work as advertised. We've been told by Russia that stealth doesn't work, but then they wouldn't be spending billions to develop their own stealth fighters. The reality is Russia is incapable of developing stealth technology so they make baseless claims that stealth doesn't work. Russian state media does a lot to get the west fearful of its weaponry, and a lot of people grossly overrate their weapon system that haven't ever been stress tested. We have no real data on any of their systems, don't take their word for it.

That is inaccurate statement but comes from misunderstand Russian funds vs US. In the US everything has to be approved and usually good projects rejected with hyper inflated off the charts budgets given to projects with little to no value - aka MIC military industrial complex which corporations have a lot to do with. In Russia it is the other way around - based on current events and what is necessary to produce money is allotted accordingly to each branch to do as they please so long as the result is weapons made are good reliable practical and exportable if need be. Therefore why mass build su57s and T14 when current regional conflicts seem to be armed with either Soviet era hardware or 70s NATO standard. It makes no practical sense and for that alone is why Russia has a balanced economy. In the US all one has to do is print money and have zero accountability and keep getting into debt where as Russia which uses Rubles backed by gold not dollars backed by nothing has an actual surplus of state reserve (aka savings). Put it simply - Russia has money and spends it wisely while saving cost where as US does NOT have money and is forced to print trillions to only pay it back later with interest. In fact the reason why western world is always in financial crisis is because they bought the US economic model in hopes of seeing a better future and have instead found themselves completely broke and in debt - even EU is having it's own countries bale out their own countries. It's actually pitifully pathetic. I'm sorry to say but last 60 years US economic model makes little to no sense.

And the kurganats 25 ifv has also been cancelled!! Obviously none of the next gen russian armoured vehicles seem to be upto standard and to iron out the bugs is going to cost way more then the upgrade to western atgm's would be so not sustainable therefore the russians will upgrade there old faithfuls T72/80/90's and the BMP1/2and 3's also BTR80's

The T-14 serial production is planned for 2021 and the T-15 in 2022 years. After finishing the State Trials & Tests till the end of this (2020) year. There are two battalion units of T-14 and one battalion unit of T-15 already in Russian army for completion of the tests. It's official information.

I'm Mexican and Russia should ask for Mexican students to learn about technology. Especially aviation equipment and technology. If you ask me I prefer Russia - Mexico political ties. The USA always wants to try and install puppet governments around the world.

To tell you the truth I believe the Russians. Why? I live in Canada and it pains me to say this but... we made no progress in any area of life in the last 30 years. The country looks exactly the same as it looked in 1991 or 1992...
Nah man i feel like the situation is getting worse and worse. Canada has like not income Alberta is basically Canada's piggy bank. Yet prices of housing is going up and taxes are going up while wages are staying the same. for example a decent looking house in vancouver bc is like 1.5m which is over prices as hell considering the build quality is absolute shit

Simple They dont The T-14 is just the latest tank. The T-14 is problem for the EU because of their opposition to depleted uranium. The EU uses tungsten alloy rounds which can't penetrate the T-14 whereas the US M829A4 which is depleted uranium can penetrate the T-14 armor. The appearance of the T-14 sent the EU into a panic and they working overtime to field the 130mm gun. Notice, the US has been cool as ice. The S-400 claim to fame is its AESA radar and its protection. Russia noticed how the US and Israel were easily defeating the S-200 and on down. The S-125 managed to survive in Bosnia because the battery commanders kept their sites on move which made it hard for them to be targeted The S-400 embodies those lessons but unfortunately for it, cruise missile technology has improved greatly it can be targeted easily while on the move or fixed

Not necessarily just on budget alone. Russian scientists and engineering is amounst the best in the world. Never underestimate the Russian military.
Spending huge sums money does not necessarily mean you will be efficient. E.g. compare the salary of American engineer to a Russian engineer. There's a huge difference but that dies not mean American engineers are superior but rather i will say Russians are more committed to the sacrificial work of defending their beloved nation.

Russia and Syria used the S-400 in Syria against 59 U.S. Tomohawk missiles fired at a Syrian airbase and (ALL) 59 Tomohawk missiles hit the Syrian airfield. Not to mention Israel has been using the F-35 over Syria in bombing and combat missions for the last four years and not a single F-35 has been shot down. The capabilities of the S-400 are greatly exaggerated.

First Russia tried to claim they only had the S-300 system deployed in Syria (That was a lie because there is Russian Television video of the S-400 being deployed at that airbase in Syria) then they claimed the S-400 destroyed several of the Tomohawk. That was another lie, All 59 Tomohawk missiles hit the joint Syrian/Russian airbase. The s- 400s weren't deployed against the 59 cruise missiles launched by the US . It was Syria's legacy air defence that were used and based on the damage assessment, it it was clear that most of the missiles did not reach their targets.
