  • My bearded dragon was trying so hard to get her shed off to the point where she went into a frenzy activity because of it. I helped her get most of the shed, and I'm telling you the next day she was chilled out and no more frenzy activity in her behavior. I would rather have a happy bearded dragon that is satisfied with getting the help to take their shed off than the frenzy activity and the stress it was causing them.

    • Sometimes it's good to help peel their skin if you don't it could cause Redness Swelling And even infection because skin like that carries dead skin cells

  • When in the wild, they have to maneuver in very dense brush and trees. This helps them to shed. When as a pet, they sometimes need help, and a responsible parent will know when.

    • Is there any marks or scars on the skin? nope, and animals do move around and rub on everything to get it off. That was a juvenile dragon so it might have slid on the counyter. I love all my animals. and would be willing to answer any questions or concerns with there husbandry, diet, vet care etc. lmk I am always willing to learn something new, STAY RAD

  • Is there a time when you shouldn’t remove a shed?

    @olthousem02@olthousem02 Жыл бұрын
    • You should NEVER remove shed. Wait and they will do it themselves this is painful for them.

    • Then why are there so many shed assist videos

      @olthousem02@olthousem02 Жыл бұрын
    • It could hurt them if removed to early. Yet I dont restrain my dragons and if they were being hurt they would just walk or run away. It is like taking a dog to the groomers

    • I think, if you know what you are doing, it's good to help. My boy when shedding, forced his head so hard against objects until he had blood vessels. They are just beastly sometimes for take out the shed, and why not help them, if you can

  • if there's any kind of resistance it's too soon and ur hurting him lizards don't exactly speak nor will they tell you that it's hurting them i don't know why all these ppl keep pulling their sheds off like this on video when the last thing ur supposed to do is peel it off like this poor baby

    @reneestyles4863@reneestyles4863 Жыл бұрын
    • Thanks for the opinionated yet educated comment. Yes they dont speak and yes in the wild they get help. But they can burrow/dig run through scrubbrush or try to ise there back legs or rub on stuff. Or in the wild sometimes it wont come out leading to shed impaction, then the impacted shed will cause a pressure and eventually that pressure untreated will fester and have bacteria and the animal will slowly die but there lifespan is cut down drastically. But That's the nature of the beast the strongest survive in the wild. Yet we are not in the wild and I will help. Lmk what you think 🤔 this message was not nasty in context. In text with no non-verbal communication things can be misconstrued. STAY RAD

    • @@ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons i know it will cause an infection and you have to remove they also will not shed properly when stressed, i love all animals i will say this much the reptile videos are much better than the baby monkeys those are cringeworthy but i commented cause ur little buddy flinched in a couple places but yeah i know it will draw up and create a crater of infection...im actually a little shocked at how many friendly reptiles there are really most of the reptiles i knew didn't want anything to do with their owners and iguanas were deadly with their tails lmao anyway ur good i'm not hateful about animals but u have to realize there are tons of videos on youtube that really just depict animal cruelty and want us to glorify it just wait an extra day or two so he doesn't flinch, yeah? he won't get an infection that quick and he will thank u for it u know
