👣 Pedicure Tutorial Ingrown Toenail Treatment At Home How to Recut Nail Groove to Eliminate Pain
This video is about Pedicure Tutorial Ingrown Toenail Treatment At Home How to Recut Nail Groove to Eliminate Pain. For people at home suffering from ingrown toenails who want to learn how to get past the problem. Nail technicians should not do this for people. It is not outside the scope of a nail techs license to give a pedicure to someone with an ingrown toenail as long as it is not infected. In this video, I'm going to show you an ingrown toenail treatment that includes how to recut your nail groove to eliminate pain. When the skin on the tip of the toe becomes higher than the toenail it is painful when the toenail tries to cut through the skin. You need to keep the nail groove free of dead skin and debris. And free of bacteria so it does not get infected while cutting through the skin. This is a great treatment for ingrown toenails that people are not aware of that can help get you past the pain and discomfort.

People without ingrown toe nails have no clue how much that hurt but how good it feels after it's done and healed
How did you heal it please
I have been through surgery like 6 times in my both toenails its recurring every time and it hurts like hell.
Vraj Patel same to you brother.
I am from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
I’ve had an ingrown toe from 5th grade to 7th and I just found out how to get rid of it years later
the RELIEF you feel after getting an ingrown toenail removed is indescribable
I agreeeeeee
I wish that was the case bc the pain has returned due to the toenail not being trimmed smooth
@@b-17flyingfortressdragon91 same here unfortunately but I seem to be doing a better job at removing it than they were, mine used to be infected but since it’s slowly growing back it hasn’t been infected
@@oleander4379 now i jave jagged edges of toenail digging into my toe cause of the podiatrist 🙂
@@b-17flyingfortressdragon91 my sister had to have it done too, but the anaesthesia didn’t kick in and when she told the doctor he didn’t believe her so she went through the whole process feeling almost everything :)
As long as she washes her hands well before and after, no. She doesn't need to wear gloves. Being able to actually feel the condition of the skin is also pretty important.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 exactly! People wearing gloves to consider washing or changing them. They see sterile on the box & think they are safe, they are only sterile until the box is open. I see people wearing gloves, then touching food and then take the money and change with the same gloves 🤢
As someone who kept getting mild cases of ingrown nails due to improper trimming, this if a life saver. Managed to shove two cotton pieces beneath my problematic toenails and soak them in peroxide. Hopefully this helps them grow out properly since im starting to feel the pain again 🤡
Always amazed at how much dead skin is under nails.
Why in the hell is this so satisfying to watch? God I'm concerned about myself LOL
Me too girl!! Not to mention my blackhead videos! !
Its not gonna be satisfying if you get it ( hurts like hell )
OMG Laura! LOL! You’ve always been a wild card, by the way how are the kids and the hubby? I miss you guys! It’s Eden from Book Club! Stay in touch girly!
Same
I enjoy her videos . I seem others but they seem like they hurting the client. She is more gentle. I tried to do other people's toes they won't let me lol
I learnt more in 10 minutes from you than hours of watching the podiatrists and chiropodists on youtube. Thanks heaps. I wish you were in Australia. I will be watching every pedicure video you have ever made now.
I study cosmetology and we really don't use gloves during manicures and pedicures, it's for a good reason! so please stop with those gloves comments!
joei lee whats the reason??
Jaydyn Allan it gets annoying
I went to Cosmetology school as well. We were taught to use gloves w/ chemical & in case we may come in contact w/ blood. They only time I didn't use gloves was when waxing.
Same here, we’re only expected to wear gloves when first touching the feet because we have to examine them to make sure there’s no shot or fungus or infection and if there is we tel Lynne we can’t work on that toe or foot and suggest going to the doctors to have it checked if they haven’t already
I ISED MY HANDS IN FOOD AND IM NOT TOUCHING FUNGUS FEET WITHOUT GLOVES
This looks so painful for some reason... yet it's so satisfying.
Brandi Werthner SAME!
Super painful. I’ve had an ingrown for a year+, and it just grew back every time I took it out.
It is really painfull
Brandi Victoria it is painful
everyone in the family has this shitty ingrown nail and i didnt use the toothpick bs and it has fully recovered besides my bro used this and his nail looks terrifying so no thx i can live w.out this technique
Thanks for the advice. My problem is thickness of the nail and it curling under. I have a method I came up with about 40 years ago. Start after your shower by pushing the cuticle back. I use emory boards to "plane " the top and side sufaces of the nail, gradually decreasing the grit of the emory board to a buffer. You don't want to make the nail too thin, but thin enough to be flexable. Then I pull up the corners and cut them. Finally I shape the edges and rub a little Tea Tree oil into the cuticle and nail. The relief is immediate and lasts until the nail starts growing out, about 6 weeks. In all my adult life this is the only thing that works for me. Haven't lost a nail or toe yet.
There is research to show how effective this is..thin the nail to make it flexible and the edges can’t dig in..well done for discovering it.
Vaseline is petroleum based. It sits on top of the skin,it doesn’t absorb as effectively as a smaller molecular oil. The thinner the oil the more easily it can absorb into the pores of the skin. I find helping the client decide what length works for them & then never letting the nails go past that. Some ppl have to have regular pedicures & some can go months & never have problematic nails. I like how you showed that a lot of the time the dead skin build up forces the nail in an un natural direction & if that is removed and kept up can allow the nail to grow forward as intended. It looks like you get satisfaction, like I do when you can help someone experiencing chronic problems get relief👍 it’s the best. It’s as important as reg teeth cleanings IMO. Good job 👏🏻
Just Vic Is Fine great insight 😊
You're simply the best at these toenail tutorials. Thank you sooooo. muuuuuch!! 😘😘😍
The gloves people crack me up. If you want to wear gloves then wear gloves. Obviously she does not want to wear gloves and is not. That is really her business .....not yours
Michael Huey n.
Michael Huey Some people prefer to be sanitary
Then mind your own business and wear gloves if you want to. It's not your job to tell other professionals what you THINK is best for them. She knows what she's doing and she has her reasons. Just watch the technique and learn what you're supposed to learn.
🤮🤮
She's not a trained doctor,I wouldn't let her mess with my toes.
That cotton method saved me from so much pain. I never knew.
You were one of my biggest inspirations to go to beauty school. I am now a licensed cosmetologist. God bless you and your videos deserve so much more credit (likes and shares) ❤️Keep pushing !

You have nooo idea how much I needed your channel in my life. I get 2-3 toenail infections every month, on all different toes because my nail slightly grows into my skin. If I ever try to run, they get infected; if I walk too much they get infected, and they really hurt when I get them from all the pus causing pressure and the inflammation. My dr never takes it seriously, and nail salons don’t seem to actually cut along the side when I’ve gone in the past. I know I’m not cutting them right, but I really just wasn’t sure how to fix them, but now I do. Anyway, I know it sounds dramatic, but your videos have actually changed my life! So thank you
Thank you so much! I have learned a lot from you! My toe nails are doing so much better and no more pain in my toes. I think you are wonderful to make these videos to help people like me! Kurt
Love your videos, so helpful!
You are good!! That’s exactly what I need. True professional that takes pride in her craft.
Jesus Christ just stop with the glove comments already
Britnee Prescod calm down love. X
+Eva yes...that's right Eva...hehehe
Ikr
So true! People are freaking out about it. Like geez, it’s not that bad. We seem to live in a bacteria-free world now .-.
Britnee Prescod SERIOUSLY RIGHT? I honestly hate feet irl (including my own) and i honestly dont kne whyyyy i watch these videos when i find em disgusting (i do knw....morbid curiousity and its sort of satisfying seeing stuff get fixed) bur even III dont mention gloves or leave any rude comments and i wouldnt touch feet irl with a ten foot pole (again im including my own ..i dont like them) she clearly knws what shes doing though and the guy looks clean...for a foot xD so leave the lady alone she does a great job, ive always wanted a pedicure but im shy of getting injured cuz im sensitive but shes really nice about everything she does
Could you do a tutorial on how to get healthy pretty nails after wear acrylic nails. My nails were thin to start with, now they are like paper and they are pretty tender. I wish I had pretty healthy nails I could manicure.
This was exactly what I needed! I try to cut a new nail groove by buffing and trimming a little bit but it was not successful. This looks like a much more gentle and easy way to resolve my issue.
I just had my left great toe nail removed and it was effin' traumatic :( Stumbled upon your channel and just tried doing what you've shown in this video. I hope this will help in the long run.Thank you so much for posting ~
I’m sorry what happened to your toenail, but I was reading the comments and liked how you called your big toes nail the “great toe nail”
Same
It worked! No more pain for the first time in months!
I love watching your videos! I try all of your suggestions in an attempt to keep my feet as decent as I can 😀
You are the best. I wish you could do my toes
I’d never be brave enough to do this.. This is why I watch videos!
This is the best way of treating ingrown toenail. I tried and it absolutely works!
That was amazing info, who would have known how easy it would be to help relieve that type of ingrown nail issues,
THANKSSSSSS A LOT!!! I had heard and seen of it but not in a real foot. Now I know!!! I ll do it. Oh, disregard the negative comments. You are the professional , you know what you are doing.
You are fantastic!! Thank you for these videos.
I don"t know why but I love watching you do these type of videos . My favorite ones are the ingrown toenails and when they haven"t had a mani for awhile. It's just satisfying to watch. Lol Keep the videos coming!!
When I get my toes done at a salon, they never take the Time to take out my ingrown toenails !! Great video!
Exactly! There's a lot of asian type salons in my town and I have no issue with this of course. But they don't speak (or rather understand) full english. So I can't even reeeaallyy express what I need or want. So I stopped going. If you cant understand what my problem is or how to fix it, why am I here?
OMGoodness this video was so helpful. Thanks!
Exactly what I need and am gonna now do to my big toes!!never saw this b4!! Ahh now I may be able to have some relief!!!thank u so much for the videos, they r helping me soooooo muvh!!!
Rachael LeAnn I know right.. it hurts so much
Watching your videos is a really help. My parents both have really bad feet and I've never known how to help them. And now I do.
I just want to say you are a big 💕 person to be able to take care of the most impossible task to do to our self. I just want to say you are amazing, artistic love you.
Love watching your videos!
Thanks, this is going to help me alot. hello from Perú 📌
I clicked because the thumbnail concerned me
If you’re a licensed professional you know when you can and cannot touch people’s feet. Gloves are needed if blood is present or if working on an “open wound”. Nail technicians are rarely faced with these scenarios and don’t need gloves. If the feet are bad enough to need gloves they need to be referred to a podiatrist or dermatologist, depending on the condition.
Satisfatório 😍
Fantastic tip♥️
i been having ingrown toenails for a looong time, or so i thought. after watching your vid i just realized i had lots of dead skin, not only that i seen once where you mention when you cut the nail back and that nail groove isnt there anymore so it has to regrow and make that groove. id cut it so far back that when it started growing out it would be painful and id think that was a ingrown! i got the blue cross stuff and it works SO good, i had tried some stuff at wal mart and it didnt work at all to get rid of my dead skin Edit lol where i heard that was this vid! actually my second time watching it since i love going through your vids every few months LOL
Thank you for saying what you use to soften the skin!!! Been looking through the comments for five minutes and your the only one to mention it
What blue cross stuff? Thanks in advance
@@moneekababy63 lmfao “thanks in advance” and they never responded after 2 years
Said to my uncle once, I haven’t been training because of an injury, I’ve got an ingrown toenail, and his response was, you big puff. Anybody who hasn’t had one has no idea. My toe was double the size from swelling, infected, and was the second most painful experience of my life for 6 months only behind tooth ache
honestly, the 2 worst pains I've ever dealt with.. ingrown nails & tooth pain. the pain i went through from this latest ingrown nail, and while getting it removed..was the most miserable I have ever felt. lesson well learned!
Looks so satisfying 😃
So you just saved my life .... Thanks so much
My ingrowns dont grow like that... they grow into my skin on the sides and my toes will be in constant pain no matter how much you cut them
Mine were the same and so are my 12 year old daughter's. She has wide, short nails, and they just impact straight into the skin. I feel for ya and so does she.
@Goatbe Bryant That usually happens when the edge of the nail splits much further down and that spike grows into the skin where you can't see it, so you end up trimming just the part that shows. That's one of those instances where it's really better to have it numbed and trimmed out, then depending on the way your toe is shaped, decide whether to use the acid to kill the nail cells on the edge.
You must go for.matrixectomy👍
Looks so painful and satisfying.... I have an ingrown toenail that’s very painful and need to fix it
Hello Lori, thank you so much for share this video with us 🤗
You are so talented! Thanks a lot 💗
i was watching fashion diy things n how come am i here. oh utubeeee
Lila Leyka i was on haircuts lol
It’s 10:43 pm and i’m watching toe nail cleaning videos. what is wrong with me
Thank You!!!
As a former dancer, this is a lifesaver.
Putting it on 2x speed makes it easier to watch.
When is the last time you went to a nail shop and they wore gloves? Not often, right? Some of you never.
Christ Rocks Yes but still you are cutting to people’s skin which you should wear gloves for to minimize the chances of bacteria getting inside. But at nail saloons mostly just cut nails and paint/decorate them
Christ Rocks I never knew doing pedi’s without gloves was a thing until I started watching pedi videos online. Every single salon I’ve ever been to, used gloves.
Every Salon I go to in Germany uses gloves!
When was the last time you went to a salon to deal with an ingrown toenail?
Oddly, mine does and plastic covers on the bowls. Remember, gloves protect the person wearing them, not the thing they are touching unless they are sterile gloves which are several dollars a pair.
Omg finally a video for my toenail that I had like this for a year now
Wow,excellent!
More important than wearing gloves: that cotton needs to be changed frequently. No matter how much disinfectant you put on there, it’s like leaving a week-old cotton swab in your ear. There could be pus buildup if it gets infected. It could easily become a bacterial breeding ground.
ive been struggeling with this for the past 11 years but being too afraid to go to the doctor, im definitly going to try this thank u!!
If u went to doctr means...he wil remov u r nail...again it wil come asusal...ask doctor for permanent cure...thy wil cut the growing part of nail means inner way
Very nice video!

It hurts for me to even put the cotton unde my toenail bc it’s so tight against my skin and it’s all swollen
Thank you for sharing! My bf's brother has a really bad ingrown nail and he's always cutting it wrong because he was never taught how to cut it right. It has a really bad scab now and its not healing right.
I wish something this easy had worked for me. I had to have a podiatrist surgically cut off the nail that was imbedded into my skin. It was pretty deep and painful. Love your videos though!
Cool I learned something today.
Thank u so much!!!
bare hands? You're brave. I would have thrown up.
Christian K that's what i thought
She has nails
Raw
Hahaha its just feet she can wash her hands after xxx if it was proper gross she would have to send person to a health care department or definitely wear gloves
Thats pretty rude how you feel if someone said that looking at your feet. gosh
wow that's cool
So smart!!!!
You are sent from heaven 🥰
I actually tried one of ur Techniques on my right big toe, and omg. It Really helped!! Should i keep doing it? I actually got out an ingrown toenail, after soaking my feet.
How did I end up here
ThanK U, Gr8 Vid!
WOW, always learn something new everyday ♥️
Would you be able to do a short video on how you set up for a pedicure ? The layout. I hope this makes sense. I've been watching lots of pedicure videos and I understand that everybody has their own techniques I just like to see what might work for me I am not a professional nail technician I'm a mom /grandma and I love to work on my family's nails . I do this as a hobby and I love it . I guess I just want to fallow your routine step-by-step until I find my own routine that way I'm not all over the place .I do trust your techniques 1 .you've been a nail tech for a quite a while 2 you have regular customers which to me that means a lot and #3 work on different types of problematic nails which do require special care . I really hope this made sense and thank you for sharing your videos and to the lady's and gentlemen who share there lovely 😊 feet so that I may learn Thank You So Much 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thank you
+ladybug delarosa so kind of you 😍 of course I can! I will add that to the list of videos to make. It will be a few months but I will.
I had this before. I had no idea it was called ingrown toenail

Another situation where people do not listen or read to clearly understand what is going on. Gloves in the USA are generally at the discretion of the professional ( I’ve been a nail pro for over 30 years) we are also taught what we may work on -disorders of nails, and what we need to refer our customers to their medical Dr for- diseases/infections. Please research these things for the state or country you live in before judging. To be quite honest if you follow sanitation procedures it is quite difficult to pass things like a nail fungus on. This being said Please😊tell me where you got that wonderful thin toenail rasp?!!! Ty
This one is not that great, I am looking for one now. It isn't made right, you can't grip it, the proportions are all wrong.
Audio is super low
Hi, thanks for your help. What is the whitish substance you applied at the beguining? It made the skin very soft. Thanks and blessings.
This is so satisfying 😂😂
And this is why it's always good to get a good pedicure every 10-15 days, 😅
Silvia O ĺllllll
Lol not everyone can afford that or make time for things like that
Wish I’d watched this before my own attempts to fix my big toes - both are now extremely painful and potentially infected 😂
Nice love it
When I was in my late 20-30's I always had ingrown toenails. One surgeon removed one, then the other, temporarily. Finally I went to a podiatrist, an excellent Dr., lots of references. To make a long story short, he and I decided to have both nails removed permanently. There wasn't anywhere near the pain/discomfort having them removed than having them continually ingrown. After removal, which other than the initial shot for pain, he injected an acid and 54 yrs later no pain and no nails!
I’ve used this truck before it work my toenail all healed
i have a ingrown toenail rn and this looks very painful to me
thanks for your help
