Terrans are the efficient, cost-effective humans. They can heal their units mid-combat via medivacs or scv repairs, allowing for a small group of army to survive for a long time (drop play or defenses). Terran end-game is actually worse than the other races. You wanna jump in to enemy bases, delay their income and kill workers to prevent you from reaching a disadvantage when high tech units come onto the field.

Zaxton Hong really? After seeing the “endless siege tank line” in the video you still saying Terran doesn’t have a late game? No, Terran has the best late game, the problem is, can u slow your opponent down long enough so you can be ready to kill anything.
YX Yang Think about it. That many siege tanks takes a long time to build, and it's relatively easy to counter them (a muta can take out an army of tanks, blinding cloud can shut down several tanks at once). By the time you build up enough siege tanks to make no-mans-land, your opponent will have a decent number of air units and what-not to counter them. You just spent all your money on tanks and have no supply or $ for Vikings. I guess you do have a point. Terran late game can be very strong, but you usually need a critical mass of expensive units, which most times isn't realistic.
I agree that the late-late game of Terran is not the greatest against Zerg and Protoss, but with Mech in particular, there's a time frame towards the end of the mid-game and early in the late game (before Zerg can get any decent amount of Broodlords and Protoss can get a high Carrier count) where Mech can crush if it's played well. Also, if you plan ahead as Terran, the late game isn't terrible if you can tech into BCs with the new Ravens as support (though I admit this can be tricky unless you plan it from the outset).

After the welcome to starcraft videos are all uploaded, I would love to see a video series showing some very different styles of play, at the same time as highlighting players that really embody those styles. I bet Im not alone on this!
I suggest the 'in-depth' series by artosis and noregret. It shows how the meta is always evolving. Although I do love the general branding of the players like Gumiho 'the mech god' or Stats 'the shield of aiur'. This was what first got me into the competitive scene.

There were series like this back with the WoL release think they were narrated by the guy who voices Jimmy :), they were less about "pro describing the race" but rather "how devs imagined/designed" them.. Think I'd like to see something like that again As far as PiG goes he does a marvelous job at explaining the "playstyle" but what newcomers usually want to see in a race is their strengths and weaknesses (IMO) as well

I usually go mech most of the the time (mass Hellion/Hellbats, Siege tanks, and Thor’s) or if I’m bored I’ll just go Marine, Marauder, and medivac.

The ingame terran are against the dominion, this is shown in both the terran campaign (wings of liberty). the dominion are corrupt ,ruthless and not a stranger to war crimes and other atrocities. the ingame terran are following revolutionary Jim Raynor, who is rebelling against the dominion. terran seem to have a very poor relationship with those in authority, just as Raynor's Raiders rebell against the dominion, the dominion are also on very bad terms with the UED (United Earth Directorate) who view them as criminals. its an interesting motif.
If you notice in the last Protoss expansion, the Dominion became the force of good...

I'm new but only came to play SC2 for coop, and those staggered Siege Tanks usually gets obliterated in seconds by fearless AI.
ApexPredator_ Each commander represents a playstyle. If you're using f2p, you're probably using siege tanks as raynor (raynor is the bio commander. Swann is the mech commander) Also, co op is very different from VS. What works in co op probably won't work in VS and vice versa.
AI's armies isn't realistic to build in multiplayer at all... like 4 Viking at 3 mins in multiplayer? I would lose all the game to that. (And that isn't even an all in)
Do the zerg need to absorb biomass like the tyranids to reproduce?

I love terrans, but I think they need too much micro to be used! I mean, spliting the army, using ability for every unit (steam for bio, siege mode for tanks and liberator, bury for widow mines etc...) must be done or units are just useless....and some of these abilities require time (tanks and liberators) and if you make a mistake you don't have the time to remedy. I even think terran have too many almost not-used units, like thors or battlecruisers while for what I've seen so far, the other races one way or another use almost all they've got. I'm not complaining but... I think it's not a race for a newbie 'cause requires a lot of skills

It's an, "underwater" map. So, they float to the surface when they die. Not sure if that's how actual physics works but, hey it's cool~.

hey you forgot air play and all play were in all play yo have all types of units. if that was rude i apologies.
what about sky Terran? yeah its mech but in the air so the play style is a bit different.
I'm a protoss player but terran mech is probably the coolest type of army in the game.

I've been playing terran now for a few years and I can tell you they are the most difficult race to use. The main problems is you are on a time schedule from the get go. You have to beat either Toss or Zerg within 15 mins or so; or get waaaay ahead of them, otherwise, the game becomes exceedingly difficult to win and you can get steamrolled very easily. If both you and your opponent are on “equal footing” as far as economy, your opponent is ahead by default if they are using protoss or zerg. You cannot remax your army like the toss and zerg can either, even if you have a big bank; so once you lose your army, that’s game. There is very little room for error whereas toss and zerg can remax almost instantly if the have the bank for it. Mech is trash as well, mech doesn't have the power that it's supposed to have in the late game against the other races late game units. Zerg and toss late game and even some mid game units hard counter ALL terran mech. The terran just don't have the late game power that the protoss or zerg have, sky toss is absurd late game and the terran doesn’t have an answer for it unless you just spam marines or Vikings all game from the beginning. Thors are garbage when it comes to AA as well, they don’t have the dmg nor the DPS to keep up with sky toss and Vikings are basically paper airplanes. All in all, if you want a very steep learning curve, and you want to need massive APM, consistently sticking to bio (because has the least risk for the most reward unlike mech), develop crazy micro skill, and even after all that you may still lose because the other two races are simply better suited to kill, you may want to pick up terran.

Probably a little late reply but if you look up 2-1-1 build terran it's a very good basic bio build. If you pull it off well enough it can get you all the way to masters

tudor suditu but blizzard didn't wanted to sound funny, they wanted actually reach people who don't have *_any_* game knowledge or still are not sure about what race fits themselves. And for that part, PiG was the right choice because of his way higher knowledge of the game. I don't want to disrespect winter, he's a great player and even better entertainer, but here, it's all about game knowledge where PiG is way far ahead of the majority of those streamers/casters/etc

As someone who plays all 3 races, I main Terran and highly recommend them. Highest skill cap in the game. Terran is hard, but extremely rewarding.
I think Terran is the easiest and toss is the hardest. But zerg is imba

easiest race to defend/harras almost imposible to lose agains 1 single Z push, the noob race by far so cost effective and no micro/macro required to play at gm level, JUST A MOVE
All these intro to different races/factions videos seem way too general & basic, barely scratches surface of depth of each race. I'm not asking for 30-60 mins in depth long tutorial video on each race, but a bit more depth & details on each race would've been nice
