I was so bad at knowing what to do with thepick when i played. I rarely left the crease unless there was a change on for them and i could get someone in the neutral zone for a quick attack. If there was even one dude in the defensive zonr i never left.
@@kodingkrusader2765 I feel that I played goalie as a kid and I almost never went behind the net. I understand that goalies playing the puck can create some faster breakouts and opportunities, but if you're gonna err to one side I think people should tend to stay home and be cautious. Ultimately the job description is not to kick-start offense, but rather quarterback the d and stop the rubber hitting the back of the net.
Eric Gilbertson I play goalie and I play the puck a lot, it’s really fun to do actually and I find it does help the offense a lot
@@beans6232 I agree it helps, all I'm saying is that sometimes it seems like goalies overplay the puck and it risks really high-probability scoring chances that could be avoided (evidenced by the video)

The Canes were definitely practicing that play. I’m a goalie and when we played a certain team in Minnesota my coach made me practice for intentional bounces off of the boards. It’s a great play because you can never tell where it’ll go.
