I’ve seen 2 Newfoundland dogs in person. A male and female. The female was 180lbs and the male was 220lbs. These dogs make Saint Bernard dogs look like a midgets.
I might just be in love with the St. Bernard, would be dreamy to own one someday. I think the Neapolitan mastiffs are ultra cool looking and very interesting. Not for novice owners, most likely.
I have 2 Great Pyrenees that are 130lbs plus. My absolute favorite dog breed. They are not for beginners and they take a lot of patience. I don't recommend them unless you know what you are getting yourself into. They are beautiful and their puppies are adorable. That has led to people getting them on a whim. Which is sad because there are many in shelters or are being removed by rescues. Large breed dogs can be very difficult to rehome due to their size so make sure you have the means to take care of them properly. Both of my Pyrs are rescues, 1 I got at 12 weeks from a shelter and another got at 1 year from someone who was going to send him to a shelter because they didn't realize he would get as big as he is and he barks a lot.
The puppies around 17 months can be very difficult to handle.
@@carolynwalker2914 a lot like my 14 year old son right now. They are so much easier after 2 years old. Still stubborn and choose when they want to listen.
All those dogs are beautiful. but other less known dog breeds should also be mentioned. for example Himalayan Mastiff (not to be confused with Tibetan mastiff) can reach 38 inches and weigh 90 kg. Boerboel should have been mentioned as well. and so should be several other dogs. Malak (Turkish mastiff) is about as big as English mastiff or a Spanish mastiff and should have been mentioned.
He can't mention every giant breed. If the list was accurate aksaray malaklisi would be number 1

I had an Irish wolf hound, Airedale terrier mix. She was huge but the sweetest girl ever. We lost her a year ago. I miss her so much.

You missed the Newfoundland dog. They are the largest breed. Their weight goes from 180lbs to 220lbs. I’ve seen these dinosaur size dogs

@@jackburton9331 bullmastiff and the Great Danes are big dogs but they are not larger than the Newfoundland dog. The Bill Massiff may go between 170-200lbs. There is a theory that the Great Dane may be a part of the bullmastiff family
@rudychavez8596 No man . The English Mastiff. Not the Bull. Zorba was this English Mastiff. It got to over 343lbs. Although that's very uncommon. But it's not uncommon for them to het to 280lbs

People don't know about Georgia for the same reason they don't know about most eastern European countries. Russia has been doing their best to prevent them from succeeding since the czars or however it's spelled, and then both world wars ravaged that area as well. That's pretty much all people know about that whole section of Europe

Well you're wrong since Kangals aren't very big you are referring to Box shepherds and aksaray malaklisi that are labled as kangals because they look similar

I have a Harlequin Great Dane , Zeus and he's pretty easy. Walk him a coupler times a day and he likes just hanging with the kids and family.
Newfoundland. One of the more forgiving large breed dogs. You still need to know what you are getting yourself into though. Do your homework before getting one and you should be fine.

Here's another thing you cannot always believed every KZhead channel. Saint Bernard is not one of the largest dogs Believe it or not. The Newfoundland dog is much bigger than the saint bernard. A lot of those video pictures are photoshopped. The bullmastiff dogs range from actually 130 lb but they can actually probably get to 180 lb. But but the but the bullmastiffs. The Newfoundland dog is much bigger they can go between 200 to 220 lb. The Newfoundland dog is in the same breed category as the saint bernard. I've seen these massive huge Newfoundland dogs in person
