    • Yes. Okay all the hits, all the omnipresent sound of decades of pop music he authored, but he's so cute and funny, so endearing, not afraid to cry and express sincere appreciation and love toward others (like the time he and Sheila reunited live for Spacer song), he's so real. I mean, I don't even like his kind of music that much, I don't prefer it personally, though like some still sometimes, but man. What a guy!

  • OK... I must claim ignorance and admit that until this moment, I had never heard of Nile Rodgers. Certainly, I knew his music but I never put a name to that fabulous body of work. So this video was a real treat for me. I am just blown away with how affable and well-spoken he is. It was my loss to not be aware of his personal contributions until now. On the other hand, it's really nice to "discover" something/someone we have been missing. Respect, Mr. Rodgers! 🙏

      @DeutschlandGuy@DeutschlandGuy2 жыл бұрын
    • @@DeutschlandGuy It wouldn’t surprise me that he was well spoken. I knew who he was. He’s a writer and musical genius. You never heard of him and saw him an assumed he wasn’t well spoken. Just an observation.

  • Nile Rodgers is just next level. I love how he was hooked on the concept of "RAM" and didn't even need to hear a demo! He's a musical genius -- but not just that, he also understands how to dress complex ideas in artistry, and how to make that artistry hit the charts. Very few musicians can write stuff that other musicians envy and the masses love.

They said they forgot his name, but that he was an older black man with long dreads who talked about being on a bunch of disco songs. I cut them off and said, “You saw Niall Rogers live?!?!” I didn’t even wait for them to talk about the Cher show, I just kept asking about what Niall Rogers did.
