  • I still don’t know who will win, but damn the cockiness of the oilers fans and media is really fascinating to watch.

    • When you say "cockiness".... do you actually mean "having fun"? Watch on Sunday, there will be "Stanley Cup" lady behind the Oiler bench...."Super fan" banging on the tom tom ( I've met him...fantastic guy)... the "MAD MAX" guy...goes on and on and on. But you're right, this Yaremchuk guy(left) is a little cocky... wouldn't matter if it was politics, sports, the weather... he's always right, just the kind of guy he is. It's all about him, little annoying....but all in all, we're pretty good people. We're a tight community, give a lot to charity. Don't judge us by Yaremchuk... he's a dweeb that tries to act cool.

  • 0:23 sums up every oiler fan rn. They just blame the oilers instead of coming to terms with the fact that the CANUCKS ARE GOOD

  • People really don't understand why MATCH UPS matter!! This Canucks version team matches up very well against Edmonton just like they did against Nashville was the hottest team in the NHL for the last half of the season. Conversely Canucks don't match up well against LA Kings so i was happy Oilers beat them in the 1st rd.

  • wow, I wish I saw this video yesterday, I would have had a lot of words to say, but I will say them again today anyways. I predicted Vancouver to win in 7. Here is why: The Oilers, evven under Knoblach, have had Defensive breakdowns through the middle ice which Vancouver has exploited during the regular season in all 4 games, particularly in the first three. Vancouver also seems to realize that the Oilers are weaker on the left side defense and Vancouver is strong attacking from that side and dumps that way instead of the other which seems to cause the oilers a lot of problems. I was watching this pattern in Last nights game and the Oilers got penned in their defensive zone multiple times by this strategy for a minute here and a minute there. Vancouver griding them down during the second and third period. Also, Vancouver is disrupting the flow of the Oilers by simply icing the puck and relying on face of wins to get control of the puck. There were at least 10 Icings in the second and third period where I was Questioning that logic, but then it kept working, the Oilers lost pressure, and the Canucks recovered beautifully. I'm not saying its not a bit risky, but shockingly, it completely disrupted their Ozone pressure, and they couldnt make a fancy play. They started doing it in the second period. I think the Oilers only managed 6 shots on net after the First period because of these minor disruptive strategies Vancouver was employing. It's Absolutely Appalling to me that all these so called hockey guru's keep saying Edmonton is the only thing that will stop Edmonton. I guess You forgot that Vancouver is one of the better Teams at Cycling the puck, One of the bbest Third period teams in the league during the Regular season, so the Famous Oiler Third periods are not going to be a huge factor here against the Canucks, And Tocchet is a brilliant coach, Maybe you should be afraid of that as well. Insulting Podcast! Absolutely Disgusting that you give Vancouver ZERO credit or ability to simply take control of the games. How about the Speed of the Vancouver defense? How about The grit and determination They've showed all season? How about their Perpetual ability to defy Statistics all season? Goaltending? What is wrong with these People? The Oilers will have their Hands Absolutely FULL in this series Rest assured. I realize I havent mentioned what the Canucks should be afraid of here, and Yes, I know the oilers have A lethal powerplay, a Much stronger defensive posture then early season, and Plenty of weapons as well. But I will hold firm on my prediction that the Canucks win in 7.

    • 0-4 0 (also played in the other loss) vs Vancouver this year. 4.74 GAA .794 Save percentage. He is the concern. He's letting in 1 out of every 5 shots. If he can't remember he's an NHL goalie this series is over in 4.

  • If McDavid was put on a 3rd rate line with a couple of mediocre underachievers how easy would it be for teams to just basically ignore his line-mates and smother him to kill any offensive threat? This is how Tochett has been playing Pettersson, mostly paired with Hoglander and Mikheyev who provide Pettersson with few quality scoring chances and fail to convert the ones he provides to them. I gave Edmonton the edge in this series, but if Tochett starts playing Pettersson with better line-mates he can be very effective and even the odds to 50/50. Everyone seems to dismiss the fact that Vancouver owned Edmonton in regular season play as if that counts for nothing - yes Edmonton is playing much better than early in the season and they are legitimate favorites, but it's the playoffs and it wouldn't shock anyone except Oilers fans if Vancouver took this series.
