Pep Guardiola says Rodrigo is the ‘best midfielder in the world by far’ following his goal against Chelsea.
Guardiola is a huge fan of the Spanish star and insists it would have been harder to win the trophies we have done without the side’s lynchpin.
“He’s an unbelievable player. He’s the best midfield player in the current world by far,” said the boss.

  • Rodri is honestly unmatched. He is the best defensive midfielder of this generation and other fan bases may deny it but every time there is a new rising defensive midfielder they compare him against Rodri because they also know that Rodri is out of this world. The calmness and composure on the ball and his defensive qualities off the ball, he is just a complete pack of joy and unrealness. Always on fire and somehow comes through when a goal is needed the most, our Spanish batman.

  • Rodri is like the modern matthaus, he can play anywhere on the midfield and has scary long shot taking techniques, every time he scores those long shots it reminds me of matthaus, both are men of big games and have high intelligence, defending skills, good dribbling and great passing. it's easy to say that rodri is the best current midfielder of the game and i personally think he has way more to show us!
