Stolen truck needs some “Persuasion”…
This truck was stolen some time ago and when recovered, it was somehow dropped off at one of the local branches. Apparently this location isn't supposed to have any of the 16' or bigger trucks at it due to the tight quarters and limited space, and no one there knew why it was brought there. So I was hired to pick it up and tow it 3 hours north to a yard in Portland that has a maintenance and repair shop.

That truck is a very practical example of "Drive it like you stole it."
I said that before I saw your comment :)
Saw a Cybertruck driving on the freeway between Houston and Galveston a couple of months ago. Looks like a high school metal shop project.
I sent Elon Musk a cease and desist order because he stole my 1st grade art project and used it without my permission.
@dudesonismyhero 🤣 Well said. Funny enough something I drew up in my early grade school years did end up getting patten on it by someone else. With only minor changes.
Cyberjunk. They're Cyberleast, not Cyberbeast.
😂😂😂😂😂
Reminds me of the galvanized tool box I made in metal shop
You are so methodical in your tows. I really like your work habits.
Having a routine minimizes mistakes
@@throttlewatch4614 Very definitely.
I like to play along at home and predict the moves that he is so good about explaining to us. Even things like "free spool the winch". His camera somehow always show the action. He is such a thinkin' man!
"Cool guy, strobey light" should be a tshirt lol
If you're into that sort of thing. 😂
Casey, I hope you're ok and healing from your slipping accident last video!
Ditto
nice to watch a professional with all the tools working and knowing what has to be done.. a pleasure, thanks
That Zacklift astounds me every time I see you use it a little different way..... complete badassery. So damn versatile, and the sheer power of the thing!
I don't think he said "Zacklift" all video
They took Casey's input when making his rig! Pretty progressive way to roll and I hope it wins for them.
I have said before, Zacklift salespeople can just send their customers home to watch this channel and get a sale!
I love to watch this guy work. He knows what he’s doing, and that Zack Lift is bad ass.
Thanks Casey, I always enjoy watching percussive maintenance in action. When completed, it's oddly satisfying to know that you have taught that varmit a good lesson!!🤣
After seeing you use spring clamps to secure the loose ends of your straps it dawned on me - I've only got a few dozen of various sizes sitting around - why not put some of them into each of my strap bags! I've always fought with trying to keep the loose ends from flopping around in the breeze - and never once thought about using a spring clamp like you do!
Another excellent class from the LaDelle School of Towing on proper application and use of the ZachLift for towing stolen Box Trucks!!! I learn so much from every video!!!
If I had a tow company, I would just pay my people to sit around and watch Casey. He is efficient and the consummate operator. If you can mimic his efforts with 50% of the results....I would give you a raise. Hell, log your time as watching the videos and I would pay time and half as you did.
Geez Casey, there's so much to do to hook up and unhook a large truck but you make it look so easy and simple. Thanks.
The safety chain setup is so simple yet so brilliant.
How else would you do it…
@@timcaviezel69 do what ?
I was always under the impression that the hooks were to be hooked in the opposite direction, throat hooked vs tip hooked.
A BFH may not fix things but is a great stress reliever.
Casey, you are the definition of a PRO!
Yeah it runs!!! You got this,, pays to be experienced!!!
Even if the caps do come off easy, I would consider keeping the caps on and taping them so to prevent the risk of debris contaminating the grease and destroying the bearing. Awesome job and attention to detail! Thanks for posting and glad you are ok from your miss hap!
You are so methodical and meticulous. Your economy of motion is excellent. Your adherence to "the rules" using logic seems to be a rarity these days. Doubling up on your business as a way to two fold your revenue using the mix of KZhead and an actual, needed profession! Well done!
A pleasure to watch you work.
Like the idea you're going to "visit" another tow company. Code word for bustin' chops. Another well executed tow and video. Thanks Casey
Bruce Cook is still leading in style points 😎
That light bar pretty cool
Thanks for explaining how your lightbar works. Always enjoy watching your videos Take care and be safe
I ran the maintenance shop in Reno for Budget truck rental many years ago. Corporate wanted us to maintain those trucks the same way they did rental cars, and it sucked. Most of the experienced mechanics had to leave because they wanted technicians instead. I quit after they suggested I take a 20% pay cut. Some really good people worked for Budget Truck but Corporate was fubar.
That was my experience as a customer with Ryder Truck
I like the warning stickers
Great job! Awesome video! Easy peasy recovery 😊Thanks for sharing! 😊
Awesome job great video thanks Casey
Casey that is exactly why you are my favorite KZheadr. I had Sent you a question last video about the lightbar which you did answer and the very next video you answer it again and show us exactly how the lightbar works. Thank you for that brother. Keep killing it man Ill be here every time you do.......
Watching you on April 4th, with fresh snow outside. Went from summer to winter overnight. I like the Gerlock guys, towed me a few times in Portland.
We had 20 inches of snow the other weekend. It melted by a few days ago because it got up to 60F. Now we've gotten the first 8in or so of the 12-18in mother nature is throwing at us until Friday morning. Yay Spring in New England! 😂
Left just enough room to squeeze through. Casey, you're so damned good, I don't know how you stand yourself.
I save a ton of time when I watch your videos… I don’t watch the whole thing, I watch the first half and then watch it again in reverse 😎
I see you were a victim of flying stones. Windshield was cracked. Don't you just hate it. I marvel at all the equipment on the wrecker. Enjoy the video's.
"Yeah I own it". 💪
Always have fun trying to figure out the meaning of your title before I get to that point of the video!😅
Love the many uses of Zacklift.
I'm fairly new to your channel, Casey. Been watching Ron Pratt's for a long time. Even though the two of you have quite different styles, your channels are both really enjoyable to watch. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
I miss the old days of being the lorry-mans mate. days out for miles watching the scenery. and helping out. truck stop cafe's and super large breakfasts. bliss
Hello from Arkansas miss my home state Tigard girl here
I can't stop thinking about your sliced intestine 😮. Hope you are recovering well
Good video as always and great insight for us that know nothing about towing.
Great show My Casey - thank you for bringing us along.
YAY!!
70 degrees, so that must have been Tuesday. Then Thursday morning I have 3 inches of snow.
A few weeks ago
@@CaseyLaDelle It was that warm then? How quickly we forget.
Great video thank you!
I wonder if you can build a tracked wheelchair with that hammer....????
If I ever need a tow truck, I will call you, you are the best. The problem is I live near Montréal, Canada....
you just keep on makeing great hooks.take cae.🤩👍👍
Thank you for explaining things a little more also. I learned a lot from this video. I watch all of yours.
Great job. Thank you 😊
What's the range on the wireless light bar? 100'? 200'? Do they all use the same frequency, or is it possible for it to get confused if another tow truck with the same light bar passed you on the highway until it was out of range?
You should have stopped by Zacklift while you were in the neighborhood. That way you could have gotten your replacement part to weld back on
Another good one casey
Another good "schooling" video.
Stay safe.
Not to jinx ya. lock your wrecker when you get out even if your near by. I had one drive off and another a lot lizard got in when I was doing a recovery. Love the videos.
You’re a master with that truck!
I see you left the garage from the sticker in the cab. Another 10 demerits 😂😂😂😂😂
Cool video. Nice view going over the mountain.
Good job Casey.
WhAts up good morning much respect n ❤
Lmao they shipped that cybertruck out without hubcaps too 😂 (Very common problem, Tesla just tells you they’ll send them to you when they are back in stock).
Thanks for the video
Thank you for the video
Good job...Stay safe see you on the next one
I knew there was something I liked about you. I just noticed you are a Lefty, i.e. one of the superior people!
I was told, "Everyone is born left-handed and stay that way until they make their first mistake."
You know that left handed folks are in their right mind. 😉
: ) : ) One of three sons are going to enjoy these three comments.
@@aliceevans3357 That was slick.
I am ambidextrous does that mean I only made a half of a mistake at one time. 🤔
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen you use that sticker on the windshield neat
18:45 I like how you have that solid safety line to keep your light bar safe in the event the tarp straps get oddly loose and fail. That totally happened a few months ago and your adapted. What a cool viewer to have gone and retrieved it for you. Were you able to fix it enough to use it again?
Godda love those nice simple jobs. Safe travels Casey 🎉🎉🎉
Nice tow
good job!
Soooooo when’s the Bruce Cook collaboration vid happening?!!…that lazy recovery guy…😂😂
New subscriber. I really like your content. You are easy to listen to too
Looks like they drove it "Like they stole it." :P
Was there a part of the parking lot there to the right of your truck that you could have pulled the box truck to the right of your trick so you could have towed from the back or too tight I imagine to get in there. Not like that thing turns on a dime! Props to whoever towed that truck to that spot I That was rather tight to make that turn on the back of a tow truck. I've seen Pacific Pride around Michigan here so they're in the midwest apparently as well.
I forgot about gerlock towing I've seen a lot of Oregon sitting in the passenger seat of their green and yellow trucks 25 years ago when I lived up there
I always hate it when the u-bolt caps come off and one or more needle bearings fall out.
I wouldn't worry bout the parking, its their problem now.
Y'ya gtta do whatcha gootta do (as you well obviously know, Casey), but the result is the results. Kudos, amito.
Headlight / fender tie down ? I see it rode ok.
No need
Casey your digging deep into your music first with the blazer smashing pumpkins and now mc hammer can’t touch this 😂
Fuel prices are still insane levels lower than here in Europe... Company I worked for until last week had a deal with Shell for diesel. I fueled that truck up every other day, $7-800 every tank, roughly 300 liters every time (yeah, small tank for a truck pulling on average 110000lbs), that added up very quickly...
Great video as usual. As a side line, as a kid in Endland some 60 years ago the mash hammer was often referred to as an "American Screwdriver" for some reason. Later in Aus. it became a "tapolater". Either way, a good belt with it normally works wonders. Keep up the good work Sir.
A nice easy "hook and book " just the way you want it to be. I saw my 1st cyber truck in person up in Redding, CA last week. Very cool...
I was sent on a rescue job to get a coach where the driver had been arrested for drug smuggling, I was flown from London to Tirana Albania and met at the airport by a gentleman who took me to the border post, The border guard chief checked all my documents carefully before letting me near the coach, I spent the next four hours finding someone to give me a jump start as the ignition had been left on for three days, once I got it started I crossed the border into Montenegro and at some point had a moment of clarity where I thought I should check through the coach to make sure that the border guards had found everything, after a two hour search I had binned some things that I wasn't sure of and continued on, when I got to the Montenegro border with Bosnia Herzegovina the border guard in good English said "ah the drug smuggling coach" he then put his sniffer dog on and although the dog alerted he didn't find any more drugs, it is always wise to check a vehicle for anything illegal especially when you know a crime has been involved. Another good video thanks.
Hope you are feeling better from the bus. Wrote this early; Just in case it's covered later. But in my infinite Liquid diploma when you walked back to your truck for a sticker then listed what's next and skipped over steering wheel strap. 😂🤣 I was like wait a minute don't forget too.... oh yeah the steer wheels are on the lift. 😂 Edit: Guess you did put a steering wheel strap on in the end 😜 for it drifting. Guess I watch too many Casey Ladelle videos. 😂
I think this was the first time you did not put the drive back together. Now you need a new zip lock bag. Nice job!
Very efficient hookup and release. Careful, someone might get the idea that you almost know what you are doing! LOL. Enjoy your videos! I sometimes drove roll-backs in our Ford and Kubota dealership.
In all my years I have never seen those stickers until last week when there’s one on a tractor in the yard. I used to use the card locks in Canada, Petro Canada 🍁. And the attended ones in 2010 was selling Olympic glasses.
I use Co-op. Their prices are always the best and their diesel is too.
Ryder rental trucks are equipped with a GPS tracker called GeoTab, which allows tracking.
We had it for around 30 years that all people can get a card they can use to pay for fuel + other groceries at gas-stations and get a total bill every month. And that work for the whole country of Norway. Usually nobody use cash while filling fuel, most people use credit or mostly debit cards.
That tow went pretty well.
Such a question. Will there be fines if you don't use those safety chains while towing in the US???
Yes
@@CaseyLaDelle okay
Casey it looks like you have two many tools: two hammers and two pry bars and two of them are in the wrong place!
You were naming franchises for the fuel depots, I’m in Michigan and on the fire department and we have Pacific Pride locations here (we use), numerous ones along with Loves and Flying J, not sure about CFN!
Hi, there. Why don't you use small ratchet scraps for guitar tuner device on the back of the truck? Then rub the scraps, I've seen a rubber snap break. I've seen guys lose those. Devices devices keep it up.I like it
I don't comment usually, but have to say good job Casey.
Park brake back on, but no drive line connected so not doing anything 😊 Watched a tyre guy chase a vehicle down the loading bay when he jacked up one wheel on a UK Bedford that used drive line parking brake😂😂
The brake is on the dif. It still works without the drive line. 12:40
Different trucks, some have parking brake on output of transmission some on axle assembly pinion others at the wheel hub assemblys. There is probably some other types. Like in Casey earlier video the bus one on output of transmission. (Not to repeat earlier poster point but clarity)
I've asked you about filling in Oregon and you replied really quickly because the first time I was in Oregon I found out I couldn't put gas in myself
I Personally think Cyber Trucks are butt ugly.
I agree with you.
what I do not understand is how they managed to get these sharp angles and corners approved under current safety regulations. Decades ago conventional bumpers were replaced with bumpers that blend in with the body lines of the car for pedestrian, animal etc safety. Mercedes even had to make the radiator emblem with a swivel joint so it could bend out of the way, yet this Cybertruck has razor sharp corners and edges that will cut and slice pedestrians to pieces. I guess it pays to know the right politicians, or you have to know when to pay the right politicians?
butts, are round.. but i dont know that.... i dont understand the concept, of EV,s. there a total waste of brain power, resources, life, if you live in the congo, digging out minerals when your 5 yrs old.. non, of it is cost effective or re cycleable, . wind farms, tower, maybe, the fins are fibreglass. good road base, same as solar pnls, . the greens, epa, w.e.f. need to wef off. to mars..
