Spain lack a good front 3. Asensio and Vasquez are good, but they don't have the experience at such a big stage. Neither do Aspas or Moreno. Isco is more of a playmaker than a goalscorer, and talking about Costa, you can never expect him to win you games single handedly. So the attack is where they might have a problem, otherwise, it's a great team

Carmelo Anthony At club level, you get about 40 to 50 games a season to prove yourself, but at the World Cup, that's not the case. 1 mistake and you suffer brutally. No doubt Costa's a good player, but he should score when it matters the most.

Nicely done analysis man! Odriozola could be starting the first few games in light of the uncertainty with Carvajal, he's just as attacking as Dani. Koke starting would be better IMO, as he's used to helping his defence more & is more agile than Thiago - who otherwise could be introduced in place of Iniesta in games. If they're struggling to break down defences, they can always go with two forwards - Costa & Aspas combined well the other day. Maybe even switch to 4-4-2 @ 4-4-1-1 with Asensio & Vazquez as wingers just like Zidane's RM Plan B..complete squad in general!

One question. Why are isco and David Silva in the wing position even though they are playmaker who are supposed to play in the midfield
that's exactly what they do. Even when they are used as wingers, they move inside and interchange positions with their midfield and that allows the fullbacks to push high. Also at the same time, it makes it difficult for the opponents to mark them when they interchange positions with their midfielders

Ramos by any means isnt slow, and hes the most explosive defender in the planet. while its a different case with madrid, spain are well organized, which would mean ramos could possibly intercept passes played through the middle. and this team has been analysed without busquets, who while being a genius of the game on the ball, is exceptional defensively too, spain play like an inverted 3 at the back with busi playing ahead of ramos and pique who stretch to cover the space in wide areas which the attacking fullbacks leave while pushing ahead. and spain dont need an out and out goalscorer, but rodrigo and aspas are capable and willing runners who'd run behind the opposition's defensive line, it isnt of use if they arent tactically aware, isco and david silva are more than capable goal scorers, and spain dont need out and out strikers as they score goals by opening up opposition's defences. and in case teams play deep blocks and park the bus, they have diego costa, a bully who thrives on those types of situations and disorients the opposition's defense to score or create goals is always available. this spain team look the best going into the tournament given the results and the brand of football they've played off late, but i guess the first game against portugal would pose to the world what exactly this spain team could do, given that portugal are extremely defensive minded.

There are issues with this Spain team. First the game with Arg might be a one-off bc Arg used less experienced players for pre-WC trial. Second Spain does not have a proper attacking winger. None of those in the current Spain team has that level of Bale, Robben, Walcott. Third Spain is no longer that good at combining long possession and central attack. Counter attack teams will kill them off!

Short videos do not give the full insight which Nouman provides in his videos. We should appreciate his work. Maybe 1 day who knows he becomes manager of his favourite club: Chelsea.
