Do we survive bodily death? Can our personal awareness transcend physical decay and dissolution? There are no bigger questions and there is no shortage of answers. Religions offer hope, with extravagant promises that are founded on the existence of God. For life after death, would God be required? If so, how would God do it?

  • I died Ann had an out of body experience and returned to my body. It was a life changing experience. I was lucid and could view the doctor and nurse trying to bring me back to life. I was able to move my mind back into my body. I now understand that your mind does not reside in the brain. Death is only a different form of reality. Jim

    • I died and had (not Ann) an out of body experience, sorry for the error. I did have a conversation during my out of body experience with my second self, that voice in your mind that everyone has, that voice inside that we have conversations with our selves. When I left my body my inner and I ask myself what happened, my inner voice told me I had an over dose of drugs and my body had rejected my mind. When I ask what I needed to do to fix this problem it told me I needed to get back into my body. I was able to re-enter my body before the doctor had completed the process of providing a second injection to help me. During the time, I was out of my body, I floated above my body and watched the doctor and the nurse and listened to what they were saying. My mind was outside my brain. Sorry for the original error in my text. Jim

  • It’s not that only 30% have them, it’s 30% that remember them. All people dream when they sleep, but depending on the arousal time from the theta and delta states can make all the difference as to whether dreams are recalled. I think it could be the same with NDE’s most experiencers usually claim they were thrust back in their bodies instantly, therefore retaining the memory of the experiences. As for NDE’s being hallucinations or dreams, two people having the same dream or hallucination would be phenomena mystery in itself, let alone what must be in the millions by now.

    • Absolutely. Studies indicate the average person has 4 to 7 dreams each night. We forget most of those dreams. Perhaps the same is true of near death experiences. Then again, you could argue that NDEs are so significant that we are likely to remember just like we tend to remember very significant dreams.

      @GameTime-yj6qv@GameTime-yj6qv2 жыл бұрын
    • You are omiting the other definite factors. 1. Many of the drugs used in emergency resuscitation medicine cause memory loss. That is a fact and for sure is one of the reasons the percentages of NDE cases is not shown as a higher percentile. 2. A great number of people who have had NDEs feel ashamed, frightened of family/personal and public ridicule if they would admit their NDE story/event. We know this because some often wait decades and finally come out and admit it. Therefore it is logical to believe there are many other experiencers who never came out and admitted their NDE due to that they died before they were about to do so, or they simply chose to never do so. I would wager it possible that the 30% estimation of people who have had NDEs after clinical death of over 30 seconds and we're then resuscitated is actually 100%.

    • The former question is meaningless, the latter is not. One asks “did I exist before I existed?”, the other “will I continue to exist after my body gives out?”.

      @user-br2uh7ib4b@user-br2uh7ib4b4 жыл бұрын
    • Stefano Portoghesi As an immaterial, purely mental substance, the soul needs no material substrate to “keep it” in existence. It is as meaningless as saying “what keeps the number 4 in existence?” What is your evidence for denying the afterlife?

      @user-br2uh7ib4b@user-br2uh7ib4b4 жыл бұрын
    • Stefano Portoghesi Why must there be scientific evidence? Science is one means of gaining knowledge, but not the only one; a belief in an afterlife can be based upon philosophical arguments or personal experience, both of which are valid ways of attaining knowledge. I’m not mixing physical death with mathematics, I’m showing that not every existent object requires a material substratum. Numbers exist whether the material works does or not, and equally so might the mind; at the very least it’s conceivable that we could exist without our bodies. Without oxygen your brain cannot continue to function. However, we could be something other than our brain; a soul, for example. Why should we privilege a physicalist view over an immaterial view of the mind? I don’t see why we should expect to be able to detect the dead; most religions don’t believe that the dead walk amongst us. Rather, they inhabit some sort of spiritual realm distinct from our own world; this implies that disembodied persons are inaccessible to us.

      @user-br2uh7ib4b@user-br2uh7ib4b4 жыл бұрын
    • Funny also how people keep talking about the soul in singular equating one body with one soul when we have clear evidence from medicine that we can have at least two different personalities inside one body. Split brain people can even have contradictory personnalities one personality being atheist the other being religious or one personality liking to dress one way and the other personality another way. Who keeps on going in this case? Do they stay stuck together forever even after death ? How do people believing in god, the soul and the afterlife reconcile this multiple personalities fact with their worldview?

      @vjnt1star@vjnt1star4 жыл бұрын
    • vjnt1star Recent studies have contradicted the view that the split-brain patient has two mutually inaccessible “streams of consciousness”. Though, in any case, I don’t think split-brain provides any problem for the proponent of the soul. It is wrong to think that because the soul is simple, there must be a unity to its thought,. All of its thoughts don’t have to be potentially accessible to reflection or even unreflective causal interaction.

    • THE NDE..... Researchers estimate that around 17 percent of people have an NDE. That means about 80% don't. Scratch beneath those alleged flat EKG lines, and the stories are a veritable twilight zone of inconsistencies. Some near-death voyagers claim to have met God - BUT A FEW SAW ELVIS PRESLEY OR GROUCHO MARX, researchers say. Others get to heaven not through the famous “tunnel”, but ABOARD GHOSTLY TAXICABS, FERRIES THAT CROSS THE RIVER STYX, OR SPANGLED COWS. Even children - often touted as the best source of unbiased information - sometimes return from “death” claiming they were GREETED IN THE OTHER WORLD BY STILL LIVING TEACHERS, AND NINTENDO CHARACTERS, instead of deceased relatives. HINDUS WHO BELIEVE IN YAMRAJ, the Hindu god of the dead, EXPERIENCED MEETING HIM. A Hindu girl "died" and WENT TO HEAVEN ON A COW. Would that mean people will be riding cows to heaven? Jews who don’t believe in Jesus or "hell", experienced God as described in the Old Testament; while Messianic Jews experienced God as Jesus. Dr. Richard Eby had an NDE and allegedly Jesus told him he had to go back, and that he (Jesus) would return (2nd coming) before Richard Eby died permanently. But, Dr. Richard Eby has now died, and Jesus has not returned. A few hospitals have placed signs in their cardiac units - with nonsensical messages visible only from above - but so far NOBODY HAS RETURNED FROM DEATH CLAIMING TO HAVE FLOATED UP AND SEEN ONE. You would expect, that if any particular religious account of the afterlife were true, NDEs would be pretty much the same. BUT THESE ACCOUNTS ARE SO VARIED AND ARE ALL BASED ON CULTURAL EXPOSURE. IN INDIA PEOPLE SEE HINDU GODS, IN SAUDI ARABIA IT'S MOHAMMED, ALLAH, AND A BUNCH OF VIRGINS. The kid from the book/movie Heaven Is For Real saw a Jesus with sea green-blue eyes on A RAINBOW COLORED HORSE, God with BLUE EYES, YELLOW HAIR AND HUGE WINGS, and ONE LITTLE GIRL WENT TO HEAVEN AND WAS GREETED BY A PORTLY MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD AND A RED CAP A.K.A. SANTA CLAUSE. The Mapuche people of South America and residents of Hawaii are more likely to SEE LANDSCAPES AND VOLCANOES, whereas NDEs in Thailand and India rarely involve landmarks, tunnels or light; for Tibetans, light features more heavily, as do illusions of reincarnation. Europeans and North Americans often visualize beautiful gardens; intriguingly, the Kalai of Melanesia are more inclined to SEE AN INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD OF FACTORIES. An NDEr’s subjective experiences can be attributed to many factors: THE NDEr's PSYCHOLOGY, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND, ETC. - NOT JUST CULTURE. The terrain of heaven also varies wildly - from gardens, forests, or CATTLE FILLED PASTURES in some accounts, to clouds, COMPUTER ROOMS, or castles in others. A TEXAN SAW BARBED WIRE FENCES IN THE AFTERLIFE; Micronesians describe large, noisy CITIES WITH CARS AND SKYSCRAPERS. This is a wonder. Is the hereafter actually mining, and refining in factories, the materials needed to build castles, cars, barbed wire fences, computers, and skyscrapers, as well as developing the tools and machinery needed to manufacture? Not to mention the raw materials and tools needed to construct those cubes and cages in hell that some claim. And, exactly which of the variety of hells do you actually go to? The Christian one? Hindu? Buddhist? Spiritualist? Muslim? The answer seems to be whichever one the experiencer has been exposed to, as Thai voyagers regularly claim to encounter lord Yama and Yamatoots, and being sentenced for butchering and eating chickens. And what fuel do those spiritual cars run on? Wouldn't the hereafter then require waste disposal and a sewage system as well? Even in her rather homogenous western European clientele, Kübler-Ross could see the effects of early enculturation: “I never encountered a Protestant child who saw the Virgin Mary in his last minutes, yet she was perceived by many Catholic children.” But there also are some hard-to-explain differences, Melvin Morse says. Whereas American near-death survivors are typically sent back by God because “it’s not your time yet,” INDIA'S AFTERLIFE VISITORS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE TOLD THERE WAS A “CLERICAL ERROR.” Even more curious: SOMETIMES THE BEING OF LIGHT IS ELVIS PRESLEY. Yet the evidence for near-death paranormal powers remains shaky at best. TWO STUDIES HAVE FOUND THAT PATIENTS’ “OUT OF BODY” ACCOUNTS OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE OPERATING ROOM WERE WRONG. Michael Sabom, however, offers a compromise stance: He rejects the idea that they provide glimpses of a heaven or hell. "I’m not saying these people didn’t experience something odd. But I am saying that we should take it with a grain of salt, because IF ANECDOTES MEET YOUR STANDARD FOR WHAT QUALIFIES AS EVIDENCE, then you should probably start buying tin foil and food buckets, because THERE ARE JUST AS MANY PEOPLE WHO REPORT SEEING REPTILIANS AND WHO HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED BY ALIENS." Sixty years ago, Dr. Wilder Penfield, a neurosurgeon, poked around the right temporal lobe of some epileptic patients and discovered that they would hear heavenly music, relive their pasts in 3D, and have out-of-body visions. Similar experiments continue. There’s growing evidence that the temporal lobe plays a huge role in creating NDEs. When patients had their brains scanned after an NDE, it was discovered that they had increased levels of temporal lobe activity compared with those in a control group. That could help explain why only a small percentage of people who flat line have NDEs. When Dr. Olaf Blanke implanted electrodes into the brains of patients, HE WAS ABLE TO TRIGGER SUPERNATURAL AND OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCES BY STIMULATING THE TEMPORAL PARIETAL JUNCTION.

And suddenly there was that sound you hear when cassettes tower fall over and my mother says the cassettes just fell, but when my father looked at them they were in place and a few minutes later the same sound but it turned out that the cassettes are fine. They couldn't understand why they hear this sound but cassettes are in place. After about 2 hours a doorbell rings, and when my father opened the door, it turned out that a postman came with a telegram in which it was written that his brother died 2 hours ago.

  • It is frustrating to listen to these interviews sometimes. For example with near death experiences (NDEs), two key points beyond what this guy mentioned are: 1) the relevance of the content of the experience to the life situation the experiencers are in and 2) the fact that the content of these NDEs has closure, in that they are told that they have to go back and that is when the experience ends. Dreams and hallucinations are random as far the content goes and just abruptly end with out any sort of a concluding event.

He said they would continue with tests where they would have a certain message above the patients bed from a height where only if the patients really can see from above and out of their body, they would be able to read that message... this was about 3 or 4 years ago. • As far as I know, nobody saw targets that were put up. However they were able to describe events happening during their resuscitation. The conclusion Sam and his team reached was that awareness continues after death at least for serval minutes. I would go further than this though. People born blind can see people during their near death experience that they hadn't even known had died, yet they come back with accurate details of how they died . People also have seen things in a different room to where their body is and its verifiable and accurate . So consciousness must be fundamental in the universe

    • @@benji-5796 “This is significant, since it has often been assumed that experiences in relation to death are likely hallucinations or illusions, occurring either before the heart stops or after the heart has been successfully restarted, but not an experience corresponding with ‘real’ events when the heart isn’t beating. In this case, consciousness and awareness appeared to occur during a three-minute period when there was no heartbeat. This is paradoxical, since the brain typically ceases functioning within 20-30 seconds of the heart stopping and doesn’t resume again until the heart has been restarted. Furthermore, the detailed recollections of visual awareness in this case were consistent with verified events" said Dr Parnia. It's very hard to make a consensus on this, and even though there may be many interpretations, we simply cannot ignore the fact that some experiences correlate with real life events, that happened on a moment of brain shutdown. Of course, not all described experiences correlate with real events.

I think it will give us more time to figure things out. So many of us make one or two critical mistakes in our lives and boom a decade or two is gone. And we learned nothing from that. My career and relationship were destroyed, I stupidly blew chances with other women because I was so anxious, and I have no partner or children. I'm finally beating the drugs now, ironically with psychedelic therapy (!), but I'm 44. Those critical things that happened to me were not of my doing. I want my youth back. If anti-aging medicine comes along that can do that, of course I'll take it. I know someone who even uses his awareness of death to double down on his materialist instincts: he's meticulously planning how each member of HIS family will inherit or not from his wealth. He's controlling the assets with an obsessive attention, behaving like a God, bestowing or withdrawing his wealth according to his self centered values. The kind of man who's awareness of death has no real transformative power. So, our awareness of death only benefits those who are already on a spiritual journey.

  • I don't know what comes after death, none of us do. We can speculate and cling to ancient text's, but all the same, these are just pondering's of people who are or where, still alive. I think that death is the great motivator of the living, it put's us in a boundary that forces us to do meaningful thing's for those of us who have more expected time than other's do. I have no recollection of any kind of consciousness before birth,and it gives me the idea that death will be much the same. I started to really wonder about this after my having surgery on my neck and was under general anesthetic. I was talking to the nurse in one room and what seemed like less than a second I was in another room with the DR. saying " All done". Where did my mind go during that period , it came back afterward intact, with all my memories still there. I don't recall having any dream's during that time, so did my mind just shut off because of the drug's ? I can't even say that people who experience NDE's are reporting actual thing's that happened during their experience, could their mind's have been manipulated by trauma to the brain or the effect's of lack of oxygen or blood ? I understand the want to go on living and gathering experience ,but what I don't understand is the very real need for some people to only accept that life or consciousness continue's after death. IMO I think ( I could be wrong) that when we die we simply shut off, and revert back to the nothingness that was before birth. It would be great for it to be true that we shift consciousness to a new body after death, as in the case of reincarnation, but our bodies now are not even the same bodies we where born with , all of our cell's have been replaced with new one's except for certain cell's in the brain that do not regenerate. I think that this pondering death is a normal part of life, only we need to stop putting unrealistic idea's behind the meaning of death.

However if there is a creator who wants us resurrected then it also can happen but the question is then again one of faith alone and no scientific evidence at all.

I went through the dark into the light - a soft bluish light. An entity (Jesus to me) was of the light, and the light was a doorway. I was not in this body, but I was as normal as my body here. We spoke without speaking. Joy was all over me. I was relieved to know it is real! Jesus said, "I know it hurts and I know it is bad. You have not done what you said you would do and must go back." I refused. Jesus said, "You will come here, just not now…not yet. I am sorry." Then I was on the operating table and heard someone say, "We got him” and then "Oh my God he is awake.” I AM NOW AN ORDAINED MINISTER AND I PREACH. I WAS SHOWN THERE IS NO HELL. We all go home." I'll give you another Jesus story...NDERF - Karen: "She took me and placed me in a crystal-like bed and told me to rest because there were beings who wanted to honor and welcome me. I saw beings cued up to greet me. I spied Jesus among them and immediately felt as though something was wrong. I asked the being who brought me, how it was that Jesus wants to honor me. I told her that I was afraid that putting myself at the same level as Jesus would damn me to hell. SHE LAUGHED AND TOLD ME THERE IS NO HELL. We are all equal in spirit form." Or why do you reject this one? Mac Wright: “Everyone goes to the same place. This includes Billy Graham, Hitler, and Jeffery Dahmer.” What about this story, from a lady who was trafficked starting at 2 years old, and had a drowning NDE...Anne Murphy: "All there was, was the most unconditional love, compassion, pure and total acceptance with no judgement at all. I WAS SHOWN THAT THERE IS NO JUDGEMENT AND NO HELL, NO OPINIONS, NO PUNISHMENT, not like what we are taught here, about a judgemental God and being sent to hell if you're bad, that was not the case. There was no judgement at all from the beings with me or from within myself. It was total compassion, and then remembering I chose my earthly experience. It was just an experience. Love is what we all are. THERE WAS NO SEPARATE GOD KEEPING SCORE AND DOLING OUT JUDGEMENTS AND PUNISHMENTS. THERE WAS NOTHING TO FORGIVE IN THAT STATE OF BEING. There was nothing negative, no shame, guilt, or sense of not being worthy. And I saw that for everybody. THERE WAS NO COMPARISON IN THAT STATE, SO EVERYTHING IS ACCEPTED COMPLETELY. THERE'S NO GREATER THAN, LESS THAN, OR SCORE KEEPING. I saw in my NDE that whether people loved or hated something about me in this human experience, was exactly the same. It was completely neutral. And they showed me what can happen to some people...some people can have a "hellish"" kind of experience...what I saw is that that is when people are still kind of stuck between the human and the...like they haven't fully let go of all the human stuff. Which was self imposed, they believe they need to be judged or they think that's the truth, so that happens. Because we're required to drop it all. It all goes when we return to our true being, our true essence, our true home. Earth is all about contrast. Who we really are is unconditional love. My very abusive adoptive father died on the 28 of June this year and I helped him. He was terrified he was going to "the other place", but in the weeks before, we had many discussions where I reminded him of his true self, what was waiting for him when he "goes home", and that it was not necessary for him to judge himself and become stuck in some "hell" like state, and he didn't. Right at the moment he passed, his true essence was with me, no longer the human and it was pure unconditional love and it went through me and I knew his true being. It was incredible. I shared his death experience with him. He had everyone waiting for him, but I couldn't go in. There's always a barrier. Only those moving fully into "death" pass that barrier." How about another one? N. Danison: "I very very slowly got out of my body, and then I popped out and I was standing in front of it going 'what? I didn't know you could do that'. And then I saw blackness. But I wasn't afraid, it was comforting, it was comforting darkness. And then I saw a pinpoint of light and I said to myself 'oh I know what this is, I'm supposed to go to the light.' I WENT AND FELT WAVE AFTER WAVE OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, AND ACCEPTANCE, AND JOY. I started getting downloads of everything there was to know or could ever be known on lots of different topics. I had 360 degree vision. I did a couple experiments and proved to myself that just thinking a word manifested that environment. I saw five beautiful colored lights that I knew the names of. It was the first time I ever really felt home. I had a life review. I got the answers to all my questions. I was raised a catholic and was told that's the one true religion. I was angry. I couldn't imagine why anybody taught me this intricate religion when there wasn't a bit of it that was true, and I had just gotten the truth literally right from the source. God is all knowing, unconditionally loving. THERE IS NO HELL. I remembered Source creating the universe and THERE WAS NO HELL CREATED. And then also Source told me THERE'S NO HELL. WE DO NOT HAVE TO EARN HEAVEN. We do not enter into human life to evolve, to learn how to love, or to learn how to be more spiritual. We souls are already pieces of Source/God’s own self-awareness and cannot get more evolved, loving, or spiritual than while in our spiritual state. ALL PEOPLE RETURN TO THE SAME PLACE AFTER DEATH. 'Knowing' informed me that when a being like me enters into a human as its soul, only part of its total energy does so. The rest of the being's energy stays in the Light and continues to evolve as it observes the soul part's experiences." Need more? R. Moreno: "I'm N. American and experienced an NDE. I WAS TOLD there is no religion and NO HELL. I was shown many things. It has not been easy being here as I didn't want to come back." Have another one....A. Johnson: "I can tell you one thing for sure, THERE WAS NO JUDGEMENT. THERE WAS NOTHING I HAD EVER DONE THAT WASN'T COMPLETELY FORGIVEN, AND 'FORGIVEN' IN THAT CONTEXT MEANT IT WAS GONE. It did not exist. GOD WASN'T HOLDING ME ACCOUNTABLE FOR THAT, God was loving me right through it, and IT WAS TOTAL AND COMPLETE FORGIVENESS. We dont have to prove ourselves to be loved by God. What I learned on the other side is that THERE'S NO JUDGEMENT ON US, NONE, ZIP, NADA. IN THE OTHER REALM THERE'S NO JUDGEMENT BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING TO JUDGE. We're all pure unconditional love. THERE'S NO HELL, THERE'S NO PUNISHMENT. When you realize there's nothing to forgive, then there's nothing to punish either."

    • Here you are....Jen: "I had an NDE and was told HELL IS JUST AN ILLUSION, only love is real. Believe what you must." Want another one? Here....Anastasia: "Time didn't exist here at all. It was as if I was one with everything. All I had to do was shift my awareness to something and I would know it. We are a soul in a physical body and OUR PHYSICAL BODIES ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A SENSORY TOOL FOR US TO COLLECT SENSORY INFORMATION ABOUT THE PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE, and that it gets shared at the soul level because the soul ultimately wants to have a physical experience, and be able to create here in a physical life. The soul is absolutely complete. With that completeness, it meant THERE WAS NO GOOD OR BAD, NO RIGHT OR WRONG, AND THERE ARE NO LESSONS TO LEARN in the physical life IN A WAY THAT TRANSLATES TO THE TYPE OF EXPERIENCE OR A JUDGEMENT THAT YOU MAY HAVE ON THE OTHER SIDE. Actions did not translate to anything that meant that you would be judged, and that judgement is not like a sorting tool, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GO INTO THIS PLACE OR THAT PLACE BASED ON YOUR ACTIONS. It's not like we're trying to check boxes here to get into an afterlife that we ultimately want to have. It felt very much like we are learning to bring that bliss that's a part of us at the soul level into our physical experience. More?...D. Bullock: "On the other side, IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER, ITS JUST AN EXPERIENCE, it's just perception. So what we consider 'oh that was wrong', 'that person was wrong', it's a joke, THEY WERE PLAYING A ROLE. They decided to be...Napoleon...so they did what Napoleon does, war, and all kinds of other stuff. BUT WHEN THAT ROLE IS FINISHED, GUESS WHO THEY ARE? LOVE. They're a soul." Must I continue on further?...J. Olson: "There was this divine presence coming up behind me. This wise cosmic presence. I'm thinking 'oh my goodness, that's God coming.' And then the guilt began to bubble up again. I had the thought 'I hope I can be forgiven.' I was fearful, very fearful. That's when the download came...truth and wisdom and light and love. The first thing that was communicated was THERE'S NOTHING TO FORGIVE. Everything's in perfect divine order. And I thought 'how can that be?' My life was presented before my eyes. There were these things that I was saying 'no no that was a mistake'. I WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, YOUR LIFE IS PERFECT. I would say 'that was wrong, I knew it was wrong and I did it anyway.' THIS BEAUTIFUL BEING COMMUNICATED, THOSE ARE YOUR JUDGEMENTS OF IT, NOT OURS, WE LOVE YOU. It was this unconditional outpouring of love. BUT I KNEW IF THAT WAS TRUE OF ME, IT WAS TRUE OF EVERY ONE OF US. I WAS BEING SHOWN THAT IT WASN'T MY FAULT THAT I'M A HUMAN BEING CAPABLE OF HURTING PEOPLE, THAT THAT'S ENDEMIC IN WHAT IT IS TO BE A HUMAN BEING...IF YOU'RE A HUMAN BEING, YOU'RE GOING TO HURT PEOPLE, YOU CAN'T STOP THAT. And this voice was speaking, 'I LOVE YOU, I MADE YOU, I FORGIVE YOU, I CREATED YOU, I'M CREATOR YOU ARE CREATURE, AND I LOVE YOU.' As I finally got out of the pain I caused, and listened to what was being said to me, I turned and faced Love and was forgiven and was filled with beauty, love, truth, joy, knowledge, understanding, bliss, healing, wholeness."

(suicide): "Light was clearer and brighter than I had ever seen. Colors were beyond vibrant. I felt no fear. I felt no pain. I FELT NO JUDGEMENT. I FELT NO BLAME. I FELT NO SHAME. I felt no fear here. Profound love and peace permeated every being, everywhere. What I know to be the energy of angels greeted me with the tenderest warmest energy. These angels requested that I observe and notice. I sensed that this was a space WHERE NO EARTHLY JUDGEMENT EXISTS. Love is more like endless compassion, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT. I watched as any energy of fear, blame, and doubt dissipated and dissolved instantly in this pure love that existed everywhere. They radiated and sent pure love to my Higher Heart. The pure love they sent my way INSTANTLY DISSOLVED THE SHAME AND BLAME that was forming in my Higher Heart TOWARD THE CHOICES I MADE IN MY LIFE. They thanked me telepathically and explained that all of my choices were honored. They asked me to lift my eyes and hold my head high. They affirmed that I was loved by God as they sent waves of pure love toward me. Please understand that God honors all of our choices. This was a soul contract whose terms were being honored for my Highest Good toward the Highest Good of All. NO LIMITATION OR PUNISHMENT WAS EVER INTENDED, IMPLIED OR ENACTED, EVER. I felt love throughout my entire being as the angels explained the terms of my soul agreement to me. I experienced NO JUDGEMENT OR BLAME OR PUNISHMENT WHATSOEVER in this expanded energy."

  • I personally believe that there’s a afterlife... Our consciousness is a energy, and energy can neither be created or destroyed, that means that when our bodies die, that our energy will continue on its journey, whatever that maybe. But I believe that we’re all here on planet earth for a reason, and that is to live good honest lives. Live life with integrity, and honesty. Treat others how you’d like to be treated, live life without hate, envy, or greed. I think that religions like Christianity and Buddhism, are simply examples as to how we should be living our lives here on earth. With being nice and treating others as you would like to be treated, doing the right thing.

What this reality is? or why we even have the experience of a reality Is not knowable. And there is no such thing as non-duality. The illusion of the self experiences reality after it has happened, And the illusion is that you experience it as the now moment. This also gives you the illusion of freewill. The illusion of separation is "What Is" trying to find "What Is" When it is already everything and nothing at the same time. No gold no saviors no heaven no hell (NOTHING) when the dream is over. There is nothing outside of the dream, The self and awareness are illusions of the mind, Every night you go to sleep most or some of the time you reach a point of deep sleep. This is when you are not aware of anything/nothing/No-Thing, Not even the mind. Deep sleep state is same as death.

  • I like listening to the questions asked and the answers given. But this episode shows the material biases of Robert in a new light. Robert actually got passionate when Roger gave some evidence that challenged the materialistic, non spiritual point of view that something can survive death. Robert almost became indignant, and it looked like the position that he held -- a doctor of the mind based on science and the community of brilliant people that hold scientific beliefs -- could be challenged by Roger's studies that also looked quite scientific. I know we all have biases, but Roger actually got under Robert's skin to shake those biases using scientific methods and principals. Robert usually gives a preamble stating how he is looking forward to people challenging his beliefs, that he really wants to believe in God and life after death. But when he is given good evidence, as in this case, it disturbs his material biases and almost ejects him from the club of distinguished, brilliant men of science. He can't provide an adequate retort and save himself from the humiliation of not having a better materialistic "scientific" response. Anyway, I don't want to seem too harsh and I think Robert is doing a wonderful job making this series. I enjoy these videos a lot.

    • THE NDE EVIDENCE Researchers estimate that around 17 percent of people have an NDE.

The experience didn't cause me to change my life or values. Albiet my main focus in life has always been love and my family to begin with.

Therefore a person who has strong religious convictions still holds then very strong when he leaves then he begins to realise that he's rather like a fish out of water that a lot of his old ideas and teachings and Creed's don't apply. The first thing he realises is that everything in heaven is normal everything is natural. • Persons are composed of "Energy" and "Information". "Information" is "Immaterial / Non-Material". The most recent modern quantum physics discoveries are proving "matter" is actually the "illusion". The true nature of reality is the interaction of "Immaterial / Non-material" energy fields. Is there really a non-material existance? Even science can confirm that the human body is composed of many forms of energy. According to scientists, energy can neither be created nor destroyed (1st Law of Thermodynamics). So, when someone transitions from the "material" existence, his or her energy (the essence of that person) will have to continue to exist in some form. No longer in a "material" body, this energy will continue to exist in what may be referred to as a coherent field of energy (or spirit?). lord-jesus-christ.com/

    • @@moses777exodus You don't even understand a single word of what you're citing here. You are constantly gaining energy through food and losing energy through heat and work. Energy is a scalar, there is no "you" in it. Now information is also conserved, but when you are dead it cannot be recovered any more in a way to reconstruct you. So practically the information is lost and you stay dead.

  • We know that it’s our observations that create our reality but the brain has been very good at hiding where our consciousness actually exists. I was rather surprised that they never mentioned anything regarding the fact that the pineal gland is where DMT is stored , releases this potent hallucinogenic compound just before brain death occurs. Other endogenous morphine like substances ( endorphins ) are also released but the DMT molecules are especially active near this time. To me this seems to explain a great deal.

    • Bob Smith Mr. Smith, Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. It would be a pleasure to review any evidence you may have for the existence of an afterlife or a soul. Hopefully this is documented, peer reviewed, empirical evidence & not suppositions. It would be very exciting if indeed these are factual as such evidence could lead to a Nobel Prize for someone & for many like myself that have never seen actual evidence that something exist AD . I’ve been one of those ole ER RNs for 37 years & have witnessed some very interesting NDEs so you can see how this very exciting this is for me. Many times I’ve had people ask me “ what happens to us after we die ? “ My answer has always been, “ we give your hospital bed to someone else “. Of course the most correct answer is we just don’t know. And that’s okay because we all are hopefully on a quest for wisdom. It’s a pleasure to connect with you & I’ll keep viewing. Respectfully & Sincerely, Randal

    • Bob Smith Mr Smith, This is fascinating. Can’t wait to digest all you’ve so kindly forwarded to me. Many of those NDEs I’ve been involved with in the ER & thrice on the helicopter have been really freaky ! Got me intrigued & I began to digest whatever information I could. Then about six weeks after losing my wife I had a little vessel to pop in my brain. Had LOC for about 72 hrs before I was found & EMS notified. Ended up in our ICU on ventilator , renal failure , followed by that cascade of multi-organ failure. At some point , 3-4 days in the unit I was wheeled down for another MRI. While in the MRI “tube” I went into v-tach , quickly followed by v-fib. The nurse that accompanied me down had become involved in conversation with someone & it was only by chance that the MRI tech noticed my cyanosis & apnea & called a code. Now I have this memory, can’t say for certain exactly at what time it occurred but it seems to coincide with when I was in the tube. It felt as if I’d been shot from a howitzer through a luminous tube that had many of my memories & life experiences projected along its length. It was like the most lucid dream ever; even more vivid than “real life “. It’s was if I finally understood EVERYTHING ! So much information was being revealed to me that I knew I could never possibly remember it all & that I must take only one bit to hang onto. Any thing I chose was available so I tried to grab onto the most important. That bit that I brought back - Everything is connected. That’s it. How did I know I was even going to come back & where did I go? That was seven years ago now. There’s some residual damage physically & likely neurological as well. Cognitive function also took a big hit & some of my memories centers were wiped as well. I’ve basically recovered all but my right hand & arm. I do have many Sx of post ICU syndrome from my time in “ expensive “ care. So you can understand my interest. I was born atheist like everyone but was quickly indoctrinated into the Christian faith, pretty much a mandatory requirement here in the bible belt. I fell in with Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Krauss & that bunch of scoundrels in my 40s & here I am today, a recovering Christian but with an open mind. Really can’t wait to review what you’ve sent. That’s very kind of you.i just wanted you to have that ‘tid-bit” of my recent medical Hx to explain my interest. Again, best wishes & many thanks , Randal

    • We can not "know" anything for sure. But, what we can say is that there are an infinite number of ways things could logically possibly be, but only one way things actually are. That is why the burden of proof always resides on the side of someone making a specific claim. In the case of NDEs there are perfectly sensible explanations within what we already know about neurobiology, so it doesn't make much sense to propose some supernatural realm that we have no sensible reason to believe exists... Occam's razor is a powerful way to dispell bullshit: Don't multiply entitities beyond necessity! And finally one should always be especially skeptical of self serving beliefs, because wishful thinking and confirmation bias is a big part of why the rigor of science is necessary in the first place.

      @roqsteady5290@roqsteady52904 жыл бұрын
    • @@roqsteady5290 I don't think you can not really "know" that any of what you just said is really so. For example, we don't know if there is only one way things actually are. It is possible that Occam's razor is not as powerful as people think, and that it results in missing or distorting much of reality.
