  • I may be a Brit, but I was so pleased for Matt Mitcham when he won this. I had been a fan of his for years. To truly understand the emotion behind his win, read his autobiography, it really shows the lows he had reached before coming back to the sport and reaching this amazing achievement. I was fortunate enough to be a volunteer poolside for the diving at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where I got to meet Matt and his coach. It was a genuine honour and pleasure. Two of the nicest people on the planet, let alone in diving.

    • This is like the ONLY thing of importance that Matheww Mitcham won. The very next year at the age of 15 Tom beat him for the World Title and in 2010 for Commonwealth gold. Since then Tom gained a Bronze in 10m Platform in London 2012 in his home country and and another Bronze in Rio 2016 in the 10m Synchro event. He's Mutilple times European, British National, World & Commonwealth Gold medalist since 2008. He's only missing Olympic Gold. Whether or not Tom wins gold in the future as he was due to compete this summer in Tokyo before Covid. Tom will go down as one of the most decorated 10m Platform Divers of all time. His longevity at the Top and ability to beat the Chinese is rare. Mathew Mitcham can't say that.

  • I'm here searching for Matthew Mitcham on his upset victory over China with the highest ever single dive score in history. I almost didn't click the video because the title is all about Tom Daley who didn't even ranked top 5. Why is the title about Daley when the video is history in the making for the great performance of Mitcham?
