I didn’t know there was a war in Yugoslavia. I thought the country no longer existed
He probably just slipped up, but the fact nobody corrected him was a little strange.
I'm pretty shocked and horrified to hear that myself .. the poor people of Yugoslavia eh ..
Well spotted. He is showing his age.
Might be the sounds in English. All of Europe, Ukraine and Yugoslavia starts with the same sound in English..
5:14: The old interviewer (don't know who the Times Radio male interviewer's name) did, indeed, say Yugoslavia, which is a mistake. That's a bit odd, but it's a mistake we've all made when having conversations (no matter our age). A correction (small type at the bottom, for example) would have been nice.
"Now that there is a terrible war going on in Yugoslavia:" (at 5:15). Gosh, here I thought it was in Ukraine!
His brain briefly went back to 1991.
I thought I misheard because no one commented! Proves I can hear thankfully.
He has been hanging out with Biden and Fetterman.😂🤣

I’m a computer scientist but not a security expert, but I completely agree. This was so much better than most discussions on the topic. Also, just in general this reminds me of the times I had long term work assignments in the UK (I’m from the US) and what a pleasure it was to watch the political discourse there, where people talked intelligently and journalists actually asked good follow up questions that were challenging yet respectful.
Blimey, this was one of the most intelligent interviews I've ever heard - well done to all three of you and your support. The world has got to be a better place with people of this calibre.
