Fun fact. Cabba actually resembles vegetas brother who has ever only be shown in a non cannon movie. And a Manga release. He was exiled from planet vegeta for being weak, and compassionate. He is mentioned in super, I believe this is why vegeta took such an interest in cabba

It's canon. They've name dropped him in throwaway lines later on (and I think earlier too during the BoG saiyan ritual, saying he was "off world and unable to come in time" or something)

Actually Cabba is stronger than Goten and Trunks combined. Heck he's even stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks given how his base was equal to Vegeta's.

It’s not that Cabba didn’t know what pride is. It’s that he didn’t know what *Saiyan* pride was. He knows what pride is, he just didn’t know what it meant to have pride in your race. Or rather, he didn’t know what that specific kind of pride was.
Or to put it more bluntly, he understood what pride is, but he did not understand what a **Warrior's** pride meant.
Vegeta pairing off with cabbage-themed Saiyans is iconic. First Nappa and now Cabba.
Hi Definitely not Detective This is one of my favorite Vegeta moments in Dragon ball Super Because like you said Vegeta has never once shown kindness to a another person him showing Cabba his transformation and power just how much Vegeta has grown as a person and I am very proud of him He started of as the z warriors most hated enemie but he part of the family

1. Cabba lets us see a side of Vegeta we don't get to see often. He's acting like a *mentor* and a *king* He's harsh on Cabba because the Saiyans of Universe 6 really haven't had a *reason* to become strong or aspire to be greater than what they are. To put it simply, in Vegeta's eyes, they've become too "domesticated" and needed some tough love 2. You're gonna like Hit a LOT Legit the best addition in all of Dragonball Super
What’s funny is that Universe 6 Saiyans are actually naturally stronger than Universe 7 Saiyans. Before he came to Earth, Vegeta was one of the strongest Saiyans in history, with a power level of only 18,000, which is nowhere near strong enough to achieve Super Saiyan. Yet, the Universe 6 Saiyans we see unlock Super Saiyan(as well as 2) _really_ easily, which means they’re already much stronger than even the strongest Saiyans of Universe 7(prior to the Frieza Saga, at least). So while the still-living Universe 7 Saiyans are far stronger than any Universe 6 Saiyan, any Universe 6 Saiyan would mop the floor with a Universe 7 Saiyan before Super Saiyan was introduced. Crazy to think about.
Saiyans from Universe 6 still maintain the whole named after vegetables thing. Planet Sadala = Salad Cabba = Cabbage

Probably my favourite aspect of Dragon Ball is Vegeta's gradual progession from villain to hero to eventually becoming a teacher and friend to Cabba. Over time, his character just grew on me

Theres a lot of depth with vegeta's fight with cabba. Him and goku are the last of an entire race, and it must be so isolating. Seeing other saiyan warriors, and the prospect of meeting an entire planet of saiyans, must be exiting for vegeta. He tells cabba to set his goals higher than him, because that's what HE does, in comparison to other warriors, he wants to be more powerful than goku, and wont settle for less, and wont let his brethren settle for less either. Thats what being the saiyan prince means to him 💪
One could say Vegeta's Saiyan pride extends beyond just himself.
It's nice to see Vegeta having a little teaching moment with Cabba there Vegeta did not appreciate his fellow Saiyans as people when they were around, and he's probably grown up to be the kinda person to regret not fostering meaningful bonds in his life earlier, so he kinda gets to make up for that here Many folks also HC that Cabba reminds Vegeta of someone from his family 🤔
Cabba is the son Vegeta always wanted! In the manga, Cabba is a little more muscular, it looks much better, but because of the need to rush to keep up with the animation schedule (which is Toei execs fault not the animators) he just has stick limbs. Vegeta also mentions in the manga that he can tell by the way he fights that Cabba has been in real battles. So he does have some respect.
I don’t know. Kinda like him being all scrawny and still an accomplished fighter in his universe. Shows he has lots of room to grow 😊🤗

One of the Best fights in the series to be honest
Even if you haven't seen the next episode, it was expected that Vegeta would lose. It's probably for the best. While it would've been cool to see Vegeta beat Hit, it would've made Universe 6 look very underwhelming if Vegeta beat all of them. Hit would've been hyped up for nothing, there would've been no point in putting Goku back in the tournament, and there would've been no point in introducing Monoka. Besides Vegeta winning 3 times & 3 eps in a row is already a big achievement.
Cabba's more like the alternate version of Vegeta's little brother, Tarble (he's been mentioned a couple of times both in Super and Abridged). He even looks very similar to Tarble, so maybe the creators based Cabba's appearance slightly on him. FYI, Tarble does appear in the Yo! Son Goku and friends short movie.
There is nothing I would have loved more than to find out that the king of Sadala in Universe 6 is their equivalent of Nappa.

The Vegeta Cabba parallel can't go understated they were equal in base form with everything Vegeta had been they up until this point and Cabba had no idea of how to go super saiyan before this day, Vegeta has died multiple times and attained god power, while Trunks and Goten are super saiyans for Cabba to not be one was blasphemy to Vegeta

Vegeta does have a little brother named tarble the special yo! Son goku and his friends return it take place two years after the buu saga he sees his little brother in him too he and cabba have identicals personality and strength it should be a next watch along

One thing that DB Super does well is Vegeta’s character development: he’s no more an egotistic assh***e, but he proudly fights for what and whom he cares. He’ll get also some spot to shine and make him justice.
