I really miss Jamie such a seetheart and i terribly miss the Magnificent Birmingham Boys. Th e y were dealt such bad luck with Mighty Mfumo vanishing and Nsuku and Scrapper both getting fatally injured. They make me cry seeing them💛❤💙💜💚🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😪😪😪😪😪

Beautiful boys! Male lions need to keep a close bond with each other so they can survive, hunt, take over a pride and patrol the territory. They are very affectionate with each other. They have scent glands on their faces so when they rub their faces together, they then have a communal scent. This reinforces their bond. They are probably rolling around in some herbivore’s urine. Lions also like to roll around in any kind of poop they can find. Cubs like elephant dung! That’s the only thing I think is unpleasant about lions! I love to watch lions in the wild! ❤️🦁💕🦁❤️
Domestic cats have the same scent glands located in their cheeks as well.

Best lion video I've seen so far and I've seen a couple hundred of them! And I think those Lions have found the lion equivalent of catnip on that ground that they're rubbing themselves into! I'm pretty sure there are plants that give Lions a very fun Buzz!

Well you're both wrong. In my country the lion population is well over a sustainable number for the ecosystems now so hunting licenses are being sold to fund anti-poaching activities which protects the wildlife.

I heard that the flies are what cleans the blood off their faces after they eat.
@@brendaseigler3923 lions lick each other to clean the blood off themselves and that's how they get their thirst quenched when its dry season.
@@kaduku1112 Why would they lick the blood off of themselves for hydration when they are camped out in back of a water supply ? The flies from what I understand is what cleans their faces after they eat and are bloody.
They’re rolling in the urine or stool of another animal. Maybe that of a giraffe, buffalo, elephant, etc.

If I had a choice to be anything else I ever wanted to be if I wasn't human I would want to be a lion and of course I would want to be a lion than lives more than 2 years! And I think I would be happy either being male or female it would matter to me! I think I'd rather be a male cuz I'm a male human and I know what that's like so I probably would rather be a male lion that here's my order a male lion making it for 18 years and then just dying in my sleep one night no freaking killing me by other younger male lions or any of that crap just die

I hated seeing what happened to these Birmingham brothers. They built up a really big empire and some decent sized prides. Maybe they were smelling the scents of some of their girls they loved or even their kids

These are such beautiful animals and their only enemies are humans with guns and Elephants that chase them off. I watched on mute as this lady talks too much.
He was probably rubbing elephant poop on him..they love that stuff. If there are elephants there, that's what he is doing..it's like catnip.

very interesting you would say you hear them purring Jamie, now I think you are an awesome woman and like you alot, BUT, I was just confirmed by the most knowledgeable lion expert in the world over, that lions do not and cannot purr. I was pretty sure they didn't and when I heard you say you hear them purring, I had to follow up on it. please understand my only intention as a lion lover in that I participate in their conservation as a species is to keep all info about them real, I only pertain to proven scientific based evidence for what's currently known. You still IMO an awesome person, as a game ranger and also a woman.

U can say that til the cows come home, because I don't believe anything of what I hear UNLESS it is proven info, scientific. So if Prof Craig Packer tells me himself that lions don't purr (which sounds silly anyway) then that's all I need to know.

All I know is it's a big Male from the Birmingham Pride. Supposedly a huge dominant male. RIP nowadays. The b-boys are also referred to as the "Gowrie male lions".
