How Kwebbelkop Lost His Entire Audience In 1 Year

2022 ж. 17 Там.
11 779 065 Рет қаралды

For over 6 years, 100 million views per month was the norm for Kwebbelkop. However, in mid 2021, something changed. In the 12 months that followed May 2021, Kwebbelkop's viewership fell by approximately 90% to an average of between 5 and 20 million per month. What caused this decline? Was it something to do with his break up with Azzyland? Or the disintegration of the Robust group with Jelly and Slogo / Slogoman? Was it something to do with his new second channel Bloo? Or perhaps something to do with him feeling the need to flaunt his wealth? This video will explore How Kwebbelkop Lost His Entire Audience In 1 Year.
Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2 XO ❤

  • It's really crazy how so many "Kid Friendly" gaming channels just flat out have been falling apart recently. These people haven't change how they make their content over the years and simply think when these kids grow up, new kids will take their place. But what many don't realize is what worked for the previous generation doesn't always work for the next, KZheadrs need to constantly shift how they make content to survive, and there are very few that don't need to because of a dedicated fanbase. Kwebblekop however is an example of how your own personal feelings and changes in your friendships, business partners, and content so much in such a short amount of time will inevitably ruin you, and the sad part is that his friends are still very successful, and he threw them away trying to change. Now he's become essentially another Ricegum, constantly flexing all the money he's made over the years and spending it on things he doesn't need, getting into NFT scams and fragmenting his time so much his main channel is now dying. Let this be a lesson to all, don't become a Kwebblekop, don't think that massively changing your content in such a short period of time will work, Cause it doesn't. Don't think buying all these items and luxuries will make those losses go away, they won't. And, most of all, don't fragment your time and money into pointless amounts of editors and other projects you may never finish, cause in the end that's just time and money wasted, there's a reason some of the biggest youtubers only have 2-3 editors and not over 10.

  • I’ve never heard of him before, but the guy strikes me as lost. Being overworked, going through a breakup, and distancing yourself from friends is a lot on the psyche, and that’s not taking into account the amount of pressure that running such a large channel is likely to place on you. I think the guy needed a vacation a long time ago, and now he’s just spiraling (trying to find himself in a sense). But again, I’ve never heard of him before, so I’m just going off my impressions from this video.

I think you mention a couple of times that he seems oblivious too it but he seems very switched on and I'm sure he was conscious of it happening. It just seems like a conscious decision to grow his other interests even if it might make his main channel suffer. Uploading every day for 10 years straight will tire every normal person out, switching it up by doing different kinds of content or creating a business seems like a perfectly rational way to change it up from the monotony of making fortnite videos every day.

    • I agree. And being as deeply invested into the business aspects of KZhead, I can see how he'd suddenly find himself wanting to say fuck it (one of the clips shown in this video of his penthouse tour has a picture with that as it's main message) and go far more into business and trying new things within it. It also seems he lacks the rational choice of picking his focus. Does he want to focus more on the business end of things? Or more on the content creation side of the spectrum? Or maybe more of a host? Instead of picking, he's trying all three, and that's definitely going to cause issues.

To me he tried to make it more interesting by collaboration, new projects, etc but found it wasn't enough. This really isn't a big tea drop or tell all. It's the standard story of all artists who become popular for one specific thing, and feel obligated to keep that going.

    • The only thing driving these KZheadrs initially is passion for what they do. They do what they enjoy and this results in passion in them. But after around 4-5 years, doing the same type of content gets tiring and boring which leads to decrease in passion. After this 4-5 year period, things change. Now, the only thing driving these KZheadrs is views which generate income through KZhead. And so they think that doing KZhead is no longer worth it. But due to money, they have to milk as much as possible. To milk, KZheadrs will now create less interesting content such as reaction videos. This is the general pattern in many KZheadrs such as Kwebbelkop, XpertThief, GuavaJuice and Ricegum. It is always going to soar high to millions of views in one year and then stay high for another year and then within the next few years plunge to 500K-1M views. If one no longer enjoys doing something, they should stop instead of stressing and tiring out just for money. Money can never buy happiness most of the time.

I did not expect to see him here at all. I used to watch Kwebblekop before his decline began, and I do remember feeling like his content just started to stray away from what I had originally subscribed for. I don’t think I unsubscribed but I did turn notifications off. But I think I’ll turn them back in because I am interested in where he’ll take his channel in the future.

    • I mean true, but... arguably if all you do is report on others than you never really succeeded in "your" channel in the first place. All you technically did was just piggy back off others success (or there for lack of success) to create content without ever having to actually come up with a original thought to begin with. No offense to this channel (idk who he is so obviously nothing personal) but in general I always have a slight.. gripe with reaction style channels for the very fact that they're just making content off of someone else's ideas. Nothing original about it but hey in the end there's nothing wrong with it.

One trick I have to get new ish content is spending a couple minutes/an hour constantly refreshing your youtube home page and marking every video as "I'm not interested". do this long enough and you're start to see a very wide mix of videos from old creators to people you've never heard about. The only draw back is that it will kinda reset your "signature" and make it hard for the bot to start recommending stuff you used to watch, but after a couple weeks you're start seeing your old videos plus a good picking of new videos :)
