Apparently this is in unpopular opinion but I'm glad Pearl said something to Ru, Ru's comment was just rude and Pearl was blunt about her feelings. It was a deserved reaction.
It wasn't rude.. Most people can take a critique and don't need to act like a 5 year old.
All she said was that she didn’t have a strong personality.. she didn’t say she didn’t have one. There is a difference. Lots of my friends with the best personalities have ones that arent dominate.
People really breaking their backs to defend Ru despite Ru saying he dislikes pearl multiple times off the show
Ru said to Pearl earlier in the season off camera that nothing Pearl said mattered unless the cameras were rolling, which is actually her giving her help, not being unreasonable like Pearl claims and people now believe. Ru Paul knows his shit, he was trying to communicate that Pearl needed to give more to the cameras, more of herself and more of what is expected for a television show. That’s why they were there. Pearl absolutely reacted in a knee jerk fashion probably out of past trauma/ insecurity and Ru Paul was fed up with saying the same thing only for it to fall on deaf ears. I love Pearl she is actually one of my favourites and I still think she was badass to stand up for herself given she believed Ru was being unjust and rude. But she got it wrong imho.

To add context to the Roxxxy Andrew’s double wig reveal, a lot of queens had been taking off their wigs and lip syncing bald and the judges weren’t here for it. At some point Michelle said the only reason to take off your wig is if you have another wig underneath to one of the contestants and Roxxxy said “say less queen” and gave us this ICONIC moment!

Dela's self elimination was insanely surprising to me. I heard Dela talk about it afterwards and I think it was one of the greatest moments of RPDR because it made so much sense for that personality type. It's not only about winning or losing for me - the ones who conquered my heart were Dela and Katya. Not necessarily the winners, but clearly winners.

When I first watched it I was so confused but when I saw in a later interview that she did it to protest manufactured toxicity and that she had to be the clear winner to do it and let her message be heard, I thought that was absolutely badass. I absolutely hate the untucked episodes where Rubis basically just stoking the flames and ruining friendships for entertainment. I watch to see the art of drag not Real Housewives of Drag Race. I kinda wish she had actually said on camera that that's why she was leaving. The way it was shown was just confusing and it looked like she was tired or something

Some of the other queens plus Ru were constantly talking about how she seemed like she didn't want to be there and it puts a very different and sad perspective on Pearl asking Ru if she had something on her face? I love and admire Ru too but the part I don't love is how it seems like she kinda thinks the magic of Drag Race only happened because of her but for each season and different spin off in other places(soon there will be an Australian DR)around the world, there's another group of queens who are the most important part of the show? Besides' other queens have spoken up about how Ru really is behind the scenes?
Pearl is a grown man in wig, dress and makeup the way you talk about hm would suggest he is a 10 year old cancer victim on his last trip to Disneyland. Pearl was kept over others because he was a cute boy - dont milk the drama, It was lucky Pearl was cute and it was a show, Heartbroken and disappointed - Pearl was pisssed.
I recommend you to watch Pearl reacting to Ru and Michelle talking about her in Michelle's podcast. Ru is disturbing.

First of all, representation of the LGBTQA+ communities on television and in films during 80s&90s was woefully nonexistent for the most part. This is part of the reason why so many cis heterosexual celebrities known for simply being an ally to them, were deemed “gay icons” & heavily celebrated by these communities since choosing “one of their own” often was not a possibility at the time. It wasn’t until RuPaul sashayed her beautiful ass on to the screen that drag and the gay community as a whole began to win the long hard fought battle for mainstream acceptance. Even then, 99% of the already FEW homosexual/drag queen/or even transgender roles portrayed on the silver screen, cis heterosexual men were cast to play the roles (ex: To Wong Foo! Thank You for Everything!-Julie Newmar). RuPaul was one of the very very few GENUINE drag and gay icons that young LGBTQA+ kids had to look up to and his impact on the community and on society’s acceptance of the community cannot be emphasized enough. RuPaul, undoubtedly, was Pearl’s HERO and INSPIRATION as a young, awkward and socially ostracized child. Having spent your entire life idolizing someone and then being lucky enough to get to meet/work with/talk to that idol as an adult only for that “idol” to be dismissive, rude, and INSULTING was likely DEVASTATING for Pearl- as it would be for the vast majority of us in a similar situation. Since RuPaul was in fact such a huge impact on Pearl at such a young, impressionable &vulnerable age/time in his life, RuPaul’s ugly response & rejection of his praise&affection likely brought all of those ugly, overwhelming insecurities, awkwardness & vulnerabilities of his childhood bubbling to the surface, making him feel two inches tall. Those horribly awkward and devastating interactions being filmed and broadcast to millions of viewers likely only amplified the devastation for him. OFC he was heartbroken and disappointed- if anything, that is an understatement.
But no one knows if that is true or not. Pearl is an adult and doesn't need to get ego strokes from anyone. If Pearl was under 15 I could understand being hurt. But as an adult, why would someone else's opinion make any difference to you?

Several years ago I was flipping through channels and ran into a marathon showing of Season 2. I started watching it because I had nothing to do. This show brings out so many emotions. I laugh, I cry, I sing and I dance. I also picked out my Lip Sync For Your Life song, not that they get to choose.
I started with Season 6 because I had previously come across Sissy That Walk and then dove into assorted Bianca videos on YT. Then I moved to S1 and am now on 12! Hooked!
