  • This was the best song out of the Fate/Zero series. Just fits the dark and depressing mood of the second season so well.

  • It is insane that no one gives credit to Kajiura Yuki, who single-handedly compose all the ost for fate zero as well as compose AND write the lyrics for this Godly song. Honestly, I think the singers are great, but to write and compose a song with such amazing colors, theme, and style changing, as well as composing for three singers requires nothing less than a genius. The mix of classical instruments, vocal as well as modern synthesis but still was able to provide a consistent and exciting song is so mindblowing. Kajiura Yuki is my no. 1 composer in Japan period.

What reassures me is improvising the bassline with her. Prior to the transition, anything outside of A minor sounds off. Afterwards, anything outside of A major sounds off. Albeit, I can't hear the chords in this song for the life of me. Your chord progression perspective goes right over my head.

    • They won't be disbanding, Keiko is leaving along with Kajiura, leaving Kalafina to continue as a duo. Based on my decade plus experience in music, I can confirm this isn't going to work and they will be forced to either disband shortly into the duo run or find a near exact match to Keiko's voice, which is easier said than done with her vocal type being as rare in females as it is.

Not only her voice is beautiful and flawless but... do you know how f*****g hard it is for a singer to maintain the tone (and change it accordingly) while you hear such high voices and you're alone!? Words can't describe the difficulty... an excellent example of hard work.

    • Yeah I know how it is, well kind of, and her name is Kubota Keiko, she has an amazing voice. Listen to her versions of Synchronicity and Houseki, they're amazing. And yes I know how hard it is, because when I sing with my sister, I usually have a higher voice and my sister had a deeper voice (kind of similar to Keiko...) and when we sing together she tries to mantain her tone, and if she can't she forces her voice to sound higher :/ what a great sister I have ^_^

  • Reasons why I love Japanese music and why it is better than current mainstream ones: 1. Poetic. I love poems. 2. Lyrics have beautiful hidden meanings. 3. Harmony of the sounds. 4. Songs these days are all about money, drugs, sex, violence and partying and girls. 5. Makes us love our favorite anime series much more because of symbolic interpretations.

  • Surely a miracle will happen just once more Draws a twisted future with a tender voice My cries and prayers For a world where no one will cry anymore Vanish without even reaching anywhere of the soiled red sky So I throw away all solace and press on The beautiful moonlight Is sinking into the beginning To the place beyond With closed eyes I'll stretch my hand out Even farther While believing in your grief The truth is, who's the one wanted to be saved My lost heart pokes a hole in the sky If by choosing you I could find our very own happiness Then no matter how cold a flame I'm burnt with I won't be far from a smile A writhing dream - the meaning of life I want to return this frightened world Back to crystal-clear water Sadness is the only thing that I won't erase Even the logic in people's hearts I'll slash it with these hands Down to zero we go The beautiful moonlight Is just quietly Decaying away into the beginning My ceased desire Is still further Within the darkness All the days that I've lived with you Is a kind song.

    • Nah i loved the anime. For me though it had no real conclusion. Yeah the war ended and he wasn't the hero he wanted to be, but in a way he was. Then there's the fact that kiritsugu can't go see iliasviel... And saber goes back to her dieing moment which makes NO sense seeing as Excalibur seriously destroyed the grail and Gilgamesh but SOMEHOW she dies which im sorry but no. If your gonna drag out a series to be two seasons long, then right before the finale explain how saving the world without a greater sacrifice is impossible just so they have her destroy the grail, that pisses me off, like they could have just ended it with her destroying Gilgamesh and the grail and done all the epilogue but they didn't they had to drag it out. And left Gilgamesh to his own devices, which he can still open the gates of Babylon. So.. He's practically a god. So no. Just no.

  • I enjoy this song because of the tone and quality. In context to Fate/Zero, it's very fitting for the visuals as the second opening song because the focus of that particular opening was on the main character who, without spoiling anything for those who haven't watched, has had a very forlorn existence. The lyrics and tone fit extremely well.

  • Poor Saber T^T I don't understand why Rider is against her ideals so much T^T And also, Kiritsugu's life is so tragic, it's heartbreaking to see him so desperate to save anyone he could in the fire in the last episode TTTTTT^TTTTTT

    • Nana Almani I personally feels that this is how the author Gen Urobuchi will prefer. Most of the plots developed by Gen Urobuchi are rather real and depressing. Go to Wikipedia and you will find some of his works.

    • They're both right, and they're both wrong. The philosophy has been in the making since the beginning of sentience, so really in the end, it's about the people -- billions of chess pieces with their own will, played by each of them.

    • It's fairly simple to me. Rider and his army have a special bond and walk together where as Saber takes her people solely onto her and thinks she knows whats right for them. Rider hates her because her way of leading is completely opposite to his.
