  • In Japan, self sharpening mechanical pencil is a common product. You can buy it for under $3. The more expensive version, which costs around $20 not only sharpens the tip, but also prevents the tip of the lead from breaking, and automatically pulls out the lead you have used. You’ll never have to worry about knocking nor breaking your lead from excessive pressure.

  • Pretty interesting to see all this tech. I like how constructive you’re with the feedback on imperfections. Because tech is advancing every time, and sometimes I think people don’t see a dangerous potential of it. Like replacing human jobs, connection, and real life. I hope more companies will purpose the creation more to helping rather than entertaining.

If you like writing with it then I would highly suggest upgrading to the Kuru Toga Advanced. It’s has a similar mechanism but rotates the lead twice as fast so the tip is always even and smooth. Also comes in an all metal body instead of just plastic. It has more weight which makes writing with it more balanced. That’s just the beginning though. I can give suggestions for days. Haha…

The quality of the videos is surprisingly good, but the major downside is that they only record for 30 seconds at a time. So when he was trying to record something like an autorotation (landing with a simulated engine failure), it would get the first bit, but stop recording before we actually got to the ground, which was disappointing since that was really what he wanted to see.

  • In 2001 I visited the MIT media lab and I heard this fascinating story. They always admit students who have really interesting ideas and let them work on them, but also always admit a few students with crazy ideas, because it turns out they learn just as much from failed experiments. One of these was a guy who had the idea to use ultrasound to encapsulate the sound from a speaker, to everyone's surprise he actually made it work, and he got funding from, among others, Lockheed who saw potential savings on headphones on airplanes (think directed light, AC and sound from above). Since the Focusound i said to be developed in China, it might not be the same, but I suspect that the technology is similar.

    • It's a long time since I read something as interesting in youtube comments as your comment. Thanks for sharing. I wonder what they would say about my crazy inventions : D sadly, I'm not technical person and smart just enough to know that my idea is probably impossible and that's why it doesn't exist :D. My idea was "warmth in a can". If you can spray sth into the air to make it smell like lemon, why can't you spray the air to make it warm. Like let's say there's emergency, you are in the tent on mount everest, but you have "warmth in a can" you spray and the air in the tent gets comfy as hell, just as long as someone cames to save you. : D I would love an answer why that's completely impossible, why even is possible the warmth would last just seconds because it would be overpowered by a force that made the air cold in the first place. I know it's crazy. : D

    • @@michakowalski2930Warmth is either produced by friction or chemical reactions. So the sun or a space heater radiate infrared radiation, which energises the molecules in your skin. Energy is basically movement of particles so the more energised the particles are, the more they move, thus the hotter it gets. Particles you spray in the air can't radiate infrared radiation (or any radiation for that matter, like microwaves), so that's not going to happen. Your best bet would be to create some form of chemical reaction to heat the surrounding air, but I know of no such reaction that would yield any meaningful amount of energy and is safe for you. If there was a way to create warmth from spraying some particles in the air, it would be expensive, inefficient, impractical and unhealthy. It is simply easier to carry pocket warmers and maybe a space heater.

      @reflex3843@reflex38434 ай бұрын
    • @michakowalski2930 Not an expert either, but you could probably just use that "hairspray flamethrower" technique to make a can of warmth (it would technically work because it would set your tent on fire)

One layer will move the light 30 degrees to the right, another, 15 degrees to the left. etc, etc. I tore apart an early TFT screen once that had 8 layers of that stuff to it. They are little more that a glorified Fresnel lens. Just plastic sheets with grooves cut into them. Somebody just figured out how to market the technology in a unique way. But I will still give them credit for that.

That way you could have the perk of the ridable suitcase, while also having a suitcase that is actually functional. With that being said, idk why they don't just make the suitcase bigger. With the power and torque that thing has, it wouldn't really hurt anything.

Then when you walked inside and the house it asked you what you wanted done. For example,Turn on lights, turn on TV, play certain music and much more!! When the smart products of today have more AI built in, our smart homes. And i believe this is all very close to mass production!
