Their companies will HAVE to allow them to go to school, and idols ( and trainees ) will not be allowed to be pulled out of school for training, also minors now will only be allowed to work 25-35 hours per week, I would say this is great news! ❤

To clarify what she said in the video, IST didn't kick Jiyoon because of her anxiety. According to Jiyoon herself, it was a *mutual* decision that both she and IST made, although from IST Entertainment's announcement it could be implied that the decision might be unilateral, because Jiyoon still wanted to continue activities with Weeekly. Said it before and I'll say it again, Weeekly and Jiyoon can't survive without one another. If Weeekly were a car, Jiyoon would be the driver, but if Jiyoon were the car, the other members would be the petrol. But yes, all IST Entertainment artists have the same problem: lack of proper management. Look how it impacted Apink and Victon; 4/5 Apink members left the company earlier this year, and before that half of Victon left IST. Who knows what will happen to The Boyz, Weeekly, and ATBO. I just hope STAYC won't be transferred to IST just because they and Weeekly are besties, because they will fall into the same pit of mismanagement.

Cube is not the worst. I would say it's better then the companies that were mentioned in the video. Like it is not the best but the company does manage their groups better. I mean Cube had members from (G) - Idle diss their own company due to the shit they did do (Uh hm Soojin) bur (G)-Idle does have the creative control. I mean Soyeon comes up with alot of the songs like Nxde or Tomboy and helped with Queencard. Lightsum wouldn't be able to do those songs without flopping really bad. Their songs are pretty safe and tbh it's probably better until they do build a loyal fanbase.

Cube is BAD but still better than the ones mentioned here. Atleast you'll get to things right in the first year of debut if you're in cube. That's how so many popular groups like beast, btob, 4minute, clc, gidle came to be. It's good as a foundation company but it only gets worse after that. I would say debut 1st in cube if u get the chance and then leave or something

Coming from someone who knows tons and tons of companies as a kpop stan of 5 years. If you want a perfect company, don’t audition. Just don’t. It’s not worth it. Even the “best” ones still have their major flaws and the most you’ll end with is a “good” company. It’s still going to be extremely mentally, psychologically, and physically tolling on you. Even the strongest person is going to struggle. Going into this field basically means sacrificing all or most of your freedom, time, money, comfort, and possibly privacy and all without a guarantee of debut and then furthermore success after your debut. Only if you are ok with those terms, should you proceed on. And make sure the research you do is as thorough as possible. Good luck out there.

two more companies i personally would not audition for: -cube they didn't defend soojin at all against the false bullying rumours, instead opting to kick her out of her group, just for the rumours to come out as false. they also don't treat the group pentagon well at all, having kept them inactive for 500 days and counting despite their contracts still being active, thus neglecting them. -fantagio two artists have died under this label. one of which being cha in-ha, an actor whose death was practically swept under the rug by the company. the other was our beloved moonbin, whom im sure you've heard about. that's two deaths in the same company in five years. there arent many other suspicious things about this company other than that, but if it was me, i'd avoid this company anyway just to be safe.

Hi Irene! When I went to korea, I danced in a public building with 2 girls who are staff/dancers &they gave me a card. They said it's an agency (HIKR ground) &they wanted me to be idol. Idk much more I had to go bc my taekwondo master told me to, but I always wanted 2 be an idol... Now I'm not in Korea anymore (I'm from France), I still have their card, what can I do? +I'm the best at my dance team, I can sing, I don't speak Korean but I'm fluent in English. For visuals I'm pretty high imo, maybe my nose needs to change... I have to wait few years b4 going 2 korea again. Except if I'm accepted in the agency? My dad just thinks I'm too young

I have no problem w getting some but I'm afraid my parents won't accept. &My dad said I was kinda too young for an agency, since it's hard &I don't have many chances to become one. The agency don't seem popular (they were a lot of ppl in the building but in google I didn't find many things abt them) I rlly wanted to see them again but my master is severe &never accepted so I'm sad. Idk if my parents will actually let me rn audition even online. &I also think korean school system is too hard for me, the fact that I'm foreigner will make life harder ect... I have to say yes as an Ateez and xikers stan. They’re promoting their artist really well and allow mental health/medial health breaks. Their dorms are nice and from what I’ve seen it doesn’t seem they force them to do strict diets. The music is also really good. If you want to be a producer and writer it will be okay too since they allow their artist to produce some music (not a lot but some). The rapper line for both Xiker and Ateez write all their lyrics in all their own songs. They currently only have 1 foreigner in the company (Hunter from Xikers) so if ur a foreigner idk what the situation is since we haven’t seen how they handle their foreign idols yet. They also debuted Ateez and xikers when they recently turn 18. Meaning some members turn 18 in the same year they debuted. Jongho from Ateez turned 18 the year they debuted Ateez and the Xikers Maknae line will turn 18 this year. So I think it’s safe to say KQ isn’t crazy about debuting super young idols. If you’re a girl its difficult to talk about since they haven’t debuted a gg yet so idk how they will handle gg. If you’re a boy it will probably be complicated. They’ve also debuted xikers 2 months ago and I doubt they’ll debut another group soon. Ateez debuted over 4 years ago, almost 5 years. This means they might debut a new group in 4-5 years. Sorry if this is long!

You have to pay to become a trainee but you will get payed depending on the sales once you're an idol. And for Korean, no. If you don't speak korean then korean classes will be included in your training.

Did everyone hear the news about south koreas new law about k-pop idols ( and trainees ) ?! Their companies will HAVE to allow them to go to school, and idols ( and trainees ) will not be allowed to be pulled out of school for training, also minors now will only be allowed to work 25-35 hours per week, I would say this is great news! ❤

According to Jiyoon herself, it was a *mutual* decision that both she and IST made, although from IST Entertainment's announcement it could be implied that the decision might be unilateral, because Jiyoon still wanted to continue activities with Weeekly. Said it before and I'll say it again, Weeekly and Jiyoon can't survive without one another. If Weeekly were a car, Jiyoon would be the driver, but if Jiyoon were the car, the other members would be the petrol. But yes, all IST Entertainment artists have the same problem: lack of proper management. Look how it impacted Apink and Victon; 4/5 Apink members left the company earlier this year, and before that half of Victon left IST. Who knows what will happen to The Boyz, Weeekly, and ATBO. I just hope STAYC won't be transferred to IST just because they and Weeekly are besties, because they will fall into the same pit of mismanagement.

Cube is not the worst. I would say it's better then the companies that were mentioned in the video. Like it is not the best but the company does manage their groups better. I mean Cube had members from (G) - Idle diss their own company due to the shit they did do (Uh hm Soojin) bur (G)-Idle does have the creative control. I mean Soyeon comes up with alot of the songs like Nxde or Tomboy and helped with Queencard. Lightsum wouldn't be able to do those songs without flopping really bad. Their songs are pretty safe and tbh it's probably better until they do build a loyal fanbase.

Cube is BAD but still better than the ones mentioned here. Atleast you'll get to things right in the first year of debut if you're in cube. That's how so many popular groups like beast, btob, 4minute, clc, gidle came to be. It's good as a foundation company but it only gets worse after that. I would say debut 1st in cube if u get the chance and then leave or something
Coming from someone who knows tons and tons of companies as a kpop stan of 5 years. If you want a perfect company, don’t audition. Just don’t. It’s not worth it. Even the “best” ones still have their major flaws and the most you’ll end with is a “good” company. It’s still going to be extremely mentally, psychologically, and physically tolling on you. Even the strongest person is going to struggle. Going into this field basically means sacrificing all or most of your freedom, time, money, comfort, and possibly privacy and all without a guarantee of debut and then furthermore success after your debut. Only if you are ok with those terms, should you proceed on. And make sure the research you do is as thorough as possible. Good luck out there.

High Up entertainment has probably the healthiest working environment I've ever seen
two more companies i personally would not audition for: -cube they didn't defend soojin at all against the false bullying rumours, instead opting to kick her out of her group, just for the rumours to come out as false. they also don't treat the group pentagon well at all, having kept them inactive for 500 days and counting despite their contracts still being active, thus neglecting them. -fantagio two artists have died under this label. one of which being cha in-ha, an actor whose death was practically swept under the rug by the company. the other was our beloved moonbin, whom im sure you've heard about. that's two deaths in the same company in five years. there arent many other suspicious things about this company other than that, but if it was me, i'd avoid this company anyway just to be safe.

Hi Irene! When I went to korea, I danced in a public building with 2 girls who are staff/dancers &they gave me a card. They said it's an agency (HIKR ground) &they wanted me to be idol. Idk much more I had to go bc my taekwondo master told me to, but I always wanted 2 be an idol... Now I'm not in Korea anymore (I'm from France), I still have their card, what can I do? +I'm the best at my dance team, I can sing, I don't speak Korean but I'm fluent in English. For visuals I'm pretty high imo, maybe my nose needs to change... I have to wait few years b4 going 2 korea again. Except if I'm accepted in the agency? My dad just thinks I'm too young

Go for it just know that there is lots of extreme "diets", plastic surgery and that you will have to be deticated to being a idol.

I have no problem w getting some but I'm afraid my parents won't accept. &My dad said I was kinda too young for an agency, since it's hard &I don't have many chances to become one. The agency don't seem popular (they were a lot of ppl in the building but in google I didn't find many things abt them) I rlly wanted to see them again but my master is severe &never accepted so I'm sad. Idk if my parents will actually let me rn audition even online. &I also think korean school system is too hard for me, the fact that I'm foreigner will make life harder ect... I have to say yes as an Ateez and xikers stan. They’re promoting their artist really well and allow mental health/medial health breaks. Their dorms are nice and from what I’ve seen it doesn’t seem they force them to do strict diets. The music is also really good. If you want to be a producer and writer it will be okay too since they allow their artist to produce some music (not a lot but some). The rapper line for both Xiker and Ateez write all their lyrics in all their own songs. They currently only have 1 foreigner in the company (Hunter from Xikers) so if ur a foreigner idk what the situation is since we haven’t seen how they handle their foreign idols yet. They also debuted Ateez and xikers when they recently turn 18. Meaning some members turn 18 in the same year they debuted. Jongho from Ateez turned 18 the year they debuted Ateez and the Xikers Maknae line will turn 18 this year. So I think it’s safe to say KQ isn’t crazy about debuting super young idols. If you’re a girl its difficult to talk about since they haven’t debuted a gg yet so idk how they will handle gg. If you’re a boy it will probably be complicated. They’ve also debuted xikers 2 months ago and I doubt they’ll debut another group soon. Ateez debuted over 4 years ago, almost 5 years. This means they might debut a new group in 4-5 years. Sorry if this is long!

You have to pay to become a trainee but you will get payed depending on the sales once you're an idol. And for Korean, no. If you don't speak korean then korean classes will be included in your training.
