  • Thanks so much for sharing a rare and precious glimpse into the beloved peregrine falcon's nesting life! About the 4th chick that fell down from the nesting ledge, I understand that most photographers try not to interfere with what happens in nature, but shooting a camera at them is already a kind of interference, and in return for their gift for us to share a view of their real life, how about a gloved helping hand (to avoid human smell on the chick) from the photographer to put that poor fallen chick back on the ledge?! If there was technical hindrance to stop the photographer from reaching the fallen chick or something like that, I would understand. Otherwise, "helping each other" is something that happens all the time in nature, even among animals of different species! Just a thought, and some sadness. Of course, we might still think that the fallen chick might fall off again even after a rescue, but who knows, unless one has tried a rescue, just for once!?

    • Thankyou for watching! We had a climber go down the rock face to save it! it was returned to the nest but sadly another one jumped! At this stage it is more risky to approach the nest as more chicks could jump!

      @Glasgowurbanwildlife@Glasgowurbanwildlife7 ай бұрын
    • Thanks so much for your reply! Truly appreciate that you guys have already made a rescue effort, bravo!! And I totally agree that in view of the chick's jumping behavior, the decision to stop intervention is a correct one. Thanks and blessings to your November trip to the States! @@Glasgowurbanwildlife

  • Beautiful! Really looks like that nest site is the very broken down remains of an old Raven nest....with some of the larger stick fragments still visible and intact. It just looks like a place where you could just sit down and have lunch, but I'm sure it's actually a very inaccessible spot, with a sheer drop off just below.

  • Hi, I am just curious and want to hear your expertise on this, I am definitely not familiar with animal or bird. But I just curious why is the mom didn’t try to save that 4th bird when she can hear his or her crying. I do thank you for attempt to save that bird. I read your comments in one of the reply. It is very heartbreaking 💔 to hear that bird crying 😭 for helps.

  • I"m joining an animation project with these peregrines as protagonist. came here to learn more about them. thanks for the footage! It's weird that the female didn't go save the missing but calling chick in desperation. the chick must have had a terrible time. but that's part of nature i guess.
