I completely agree with you, I have had so much respect over many decades for Oprah but this interview helped perpetuate lies and gaps information which has become one of the main problems in our society in 2022…she’s really not used her platform in the right way. I wonder what she says today after attending the wedding we paid for over losing our Duke of Edinburgh. Devastated that his family couldn’t show and support the crown as he sacrificed for. Yeah but that's not how it was put across, I don't doubt if it was from my understanding put like that many people would take offence, but as soon as the colour gets mentioned to people of a different race its that that's the obvious reason why it is offensive. We set up laws in the UK to protect any race, making it illegal, making sure things like this don't happen and making things fair but because of that we're too scared to speak up because one word from anyone with a race background we can get branded a racist whether we are or not - I don't know everything that's considered offensive but I learn to stay away from the word colour

Kate and Prince William got it done but it didn't happen for Meghan and Prince Harry, other photos were eventually taken of them two with their child but not how a Royal gets treated. My question is why didn't Oprah fact check any of this? I know its entertainment, but she's putting false claims out on her show, and Oprah (and the shows producers) should share in the responsibility of that. Journalists are required to be able to support their stories, even if they don't name sources. Things like "Archie was denied a title because of his colour". He doesn't have a title because he is more than 2 generations removed from the sitting monarch. Thats British law. When George Cambridge was born the queen had to put a motion to parliament to give him titles, and only did so because the Cambridge children are direct in line. None of the queens other great-grandchildren were given HRH. This should've been easy for Oprahs team to confirm. It looks like they didn't even care that they were producing a programme, smearing many people, without any evidence. Oprah is officially the tabloid.

Oprah hasn’t been relevant in years. Airing this farce of an interview during the last days of Prince Philip life is abhorrent. Harry as always been close to his grandparents, so why did he find it necessary to drive a stake in the heart of his grandmother? My husband recently died after months of fighting a terminal illness. My grief didn’t begin the day my husband died, it began the day I realized that he was going to die. If one of my grandchildren pulled a stunt like Harry did, you can bet my will would be changed in a heartbeat. I question what Oprah and Gayle King have against the Royal Family. The smugness of Gayle King when she indicates that she has the inside scoop on the Royal Family makes me 🤮. Much of Meghan’s statements during the interview have been debunked, which makes Oprah’ look ridiculous. It time Oprah and Gayle King ride in the sunset together and get out of the public eye.

The only possible motivation was revenge and vindictiveness. They have their 'freedom", have bought a multi-million house in her home state, scored media contracts worth million, have a healthy little boy and a baby girl on the way. Should they not be counting their blessing? No, because they didn't get All they wanted. They wanted to retain their royal patronages, their roles in the Commonwealth, have their security paid for by the British taxpayer, remain part of the RF carrying out royal duties when it suited them, live half the year in each country, and be allowed to make commercial deals for themselves in the US. As stated on their Instagram page when they exited. When they were told they couldn't have it both ways, they gave the interview.

@@frankie7529 The Royal Family is respected and we understand all of the work that they do. The Queen works nearly every day of the year. I wouldn't say it's advisors around them, I would say it is more PAs who arrange her schedule, make her appointments and makes sure the Queen knows what she is doing when. Some of these appointments are made months in advance, and can't just be dropped because your grandson needs you to. Personally I think that the Queen has always done very well separating her family time from her working time. Harry grew up in this world and should understand that. The Queen cares deeply for her family, but also cares for her country, Commonwealth and her role in life. Yes I do wonder if between the Queen and her PAs/Advisors they may have said she had an appointment when she didn't, the woman is in her 90s and may have needed time and space to think things over before seeing her grandson, we will never know but either way I give the Queen respect for doing things calmly and diplomatically and working hard her whole life!

I hope I am wrong, but listening and watching her body language my guess is she married up for the fame that would instantly come with marrying Harry. Notice, Harry, went along with anything Meghan had to say. It looked like he didn’t really want to be there. Again, I hope I am wrong, but Meghan may have already mentioned divorce or at least made Harry question her commitment if she didn’t stay happy. Speculation, I know, but time will tell. I won’t be surprised if she divorces him, considering she’s now back in Hollywood with her fame. Dreadful and incredibly biased interview
There's footage of Meghan when she was a child at another girls birthday party where she dressed up as the queen, wore a crown and told all of the other girls to curtsey to her (search it up). She was obsessed with Princess Diana and had posters and a book of her biography in her bedroom. There is a photo of her and her friend outside of Buckingham Palace as a teenager when she went on a trip all over Europe paid for by her father. She wrote on her blog called the TIG about the Duchess of Cambridge saying that there was "endless conversation surrounding Princess Kate." There is even a photograph of her holding a magazine with Kate Middleton while she was pregnant with George on the front page that says "its twins". The evidence of her being a liar is out there for everyone to see on google images.
If they wanted to find someone with a history of saying racist things, they could have just interviewed Oprah. From mocking the "good white folks" working for her, to claiming she was a victim of racism just because she was treated like any other customer, to going on about how every white person is privileged no matter how poor that person might be. Oprah Winfrey has a bad record of bigotry that is second to none.

I feel so sorry the Dutchess of Cambridge who probably could not bear watching her little girl being yelled or humiliated at that dress fitting. I am concerned that Oprah was more concerned about hearing Meghan & Harry's version of the truth rather than establishing the truth. If Oprah was interested in the truth she would have probed more and led less. Meghan's dramatic way of speaking and leaving listeners to draw conclusions based on clever suggestions was disturbing. Sadly Oprah did nothing to neutralise this lopsided picture.
Congratulations Oprah, you gave actress Meghan Markle the opportunity to perform, on the world stage, her interpretation of Princess Diana's Panorama interview of the 1990s. Meghan, in her glorious and highly acclaimed role of victim, touched on depression, loneliness, thoughts of suicide, and jealousy from members of the RF. She expressed that no one took her under their wing to teach her what she needed to know and that she was left on her own and so misunderstood. Her makeup was well done with heavy black eye as was Diana's. The downward turn of her head, the sad eyes and hand gestures to her face to garner sympathy were perfectly timed to match Diana's. Meghan's version differed however in that it brought in racism which we expected would happen. It was interesting to see how Meghan's answers actually contradicted her book, Finding Freedom, and previously taped royal events. I am immensely grateful to everyone who participated in this production because it made clear to the world, or at least most of it, that Meghan isn't only emotionally abusive and narcissistic, but that she is a liar who suffers mental health issues as well. Well done, bravo! God bless the Queen, Prince Philip and the entire Royal Family. As for Meghan and Harry, karma will get them in the end.

I always enjoyed watching her talkshows with my grandma when it was still on but this interview was terrible, one sided and baseless. many important questions werent asked and it just looked like a publicity stunt to help her little “friend”. Honestly a lot of ppl discuss about skin color of their babies. Im a bit darker than my husband and we discuss the colors our babies would be as well. Not everything has to lead to being racist.
