    • Its just our recency and negativity bias. People are underestimating volk hard, before the islam fight everyone thought topuria had zero chance, and now volk seems to be the underdog after one defeat on short notice to a rather unfortunate KO. I think volk has it in the bag

    • i think to many people over look just how good ilia is even volk says he only has apunchers chance like come on dude has the best boxing in the division he fought the hardest hitter and beat the shit out of him for 5 rounds made it look easy his bjj and wrestling are again better then anyone at 145 that alex has faced he beat arguably the two best ground guys in the division in ryan and mitchell this is by far his toughest fight and it has nothing to do with recency bias it has to do with his skills and just how well rounded he is any real fan of mma should see just how dangerous of a fight this is for volk and im a huge volk fan i think he is arguably top 5-10 of all time but match ups come around that dont always favor you and i think this is one of them @@darijanjamak2632

  • Sorry to say this, but I think Volk's reign ends here. I've watched a good bit of Ilia's fights, and I believe he'll get lucky. He's quite vicious but methodical. Confidence is everything in life and sports, and I think Islam planted a tiny seed of doubt in Volk, who might hesitate in some moments, which is only natural after a KO. But that will prove to be a deciding factor. I say 'sorry' because I love Volk.

  • Volks one of my favourite fighters. The one thing that stands out to me is that Volk is doing a 12 week training camp and that tells me this is a true 50/50 fight. Hope Volk wins as would not like him to go out on the fact he should have taken more time after the head kick and that Ilya is going to be a champ in the future regardless of this result. Hoping to see greatness once again.
