Hello. I don't know how to answer you exactly because this car on which I installed the Android unit did not have factory parking sensors.
Do the parking sensors even have something regarding to the radio? I don't know how it is in the C4, but in most cars the beeps are completely separate
I did put thay unit on my C4 today and it works great but I'm having some trouble with the parking sensors, the parktronic is not working now. I will investigate and if succeed in using it, will give an update.

Hi Adrian. Thank you for explaining everything in details. I have a quick question, the screen you removed to place the unit is usually used to display some information, like how much gas the car is spending, the status of certain functions of the car etc, but in the video you didnt really explore those functions. Do you know if theyre still possible through one of the apps?
Hi. I think I missed talking about this. Yes, it is an application that activates when you press the button on the end of the wiper lever and you can see the travel computer (average consumption, instant, etc.)

Hello. The FM Radio reception seems to be a bit weaker than the original radio. For me, FM Radio is not so important because I listen to online radio through the TuneIN application. I don't know how to answer this question because the car on which I installed the Android unit did not have rear parking sensors. Usually more expensive Android units are compatible with parking sensors, this is the cheapest unit.
Hi Dragan. Thanks for the great explained video! And for the product itself, you motivated me to buy one for me. I have 2 questions. I have Citroen C4 2008, 1.6 hdi, semi automatic (EGS) gear. FIrst question is it will fit on my car, because Citroen made second generation of C4 exactly 2008 year, so I am not sure if mine is first, even it looks like the same as yours on the video( just with automatic gear). Second question is that on the link you provide, (first 2 links for silver and black frame), it says it is for 2008-2011 year. So im not sure if it's right , even it definitelly my car looks identically like yours. Same dashboard, place on the lock and emergency buttons, ESP Off button below, etc. Thanks!

Excellent job and video! Personally i have the 7 inch unit combined with dvd player unit and i prefer it because of cd/dvd unit. But i envy your bigger screen. Also my unit displays the temperature on the screen. One question about your unit, is it possible to turn off the screen during play the music?
Hi, thanks for the feedback. The display of the outside temperature on the Android screen depends on the Canbus decoder. I don't turn off the screen but if you want this I think you can find applications that do this in Google Play: play.google.com/store/search?q=turn%20off%20screen&c=apps Cheers! :)

Thanks for another amazing video! When I did this installation last summer, everything went great but the 2 front speakers started to not work after the installation (they work sometimes, but most of the time they don’t work). Rear speakers work fine. Do you think it’s a loose connection I did when I was putting the installation in place? Or did I choose the wrong canbus option in the menus? Also which car launcher do you recommend? Mine doesn’t have some of the menus that you showed.
Hello. Canbus has nothing to do with speakers. I think it's a problem with the plug connection. Remove the Android drive and check the large connections plug.

Hello. I have not seen anywhere the frame for Android in carbon look. I think you can look for foil similar to yours and put it over the new frame.

Hi, I got visually the same model head unit presented in this video for my 2005 Citroen C4 Coupe, my unit seems newer and has android 10 or an imitation of it. The menus have less options then what you show. The seller hasn't been able to solve this but I have no sound. Canbus kind of works, as in the steering wheel buttons work and travel distance data is being transmitted to the head unit - but still no sound. All cables seem to be connected successfully, I have taken them apart multiple times and tried again. What I find odd is all the citroen Canbus models in the settings have 2008-2015 models, the ad said 2004-2008 - maybe the Canbus is incorrect for my car (I have Raise PSA-RZ-15)? There is also a RCA harness and I tried a 5.1 audio set speaker connected to the output of the RCA audio out, the speaker didn't even have a faint sound coming from it. No app has sound, not radio or Music or KZhead, nothing. Do you have any suggestions what to try to get any sound? I tried all the Citroen Canbus options in the settings, all of them have the steering wheel buttons work, none have any sound.
Hello. It seems that on your Android unit the problem would be from the sound amplification chip, so a possible physical problem. Talk to the seller and send him a video in which it will be clear that your Android unit has no sound output.
@@AdrianDragan Thank you for the information. I was in contact with the seller, the seller is confident that their device is working fine and tried very little to solve the issue. Eventually the seller stopped responding at all and I ended up getting a 20% refund with no return, because the return shipping cost more than the device price was. So basically I am stuck with this unit to solve it on my own. My mistake was that I did not order from a seller with the most orders, and it seems I have kind of been scammed. You are the first person to actually suggest a hardware fault, everyone else keeps looking at plugs and android updates and settings that do not exist. I am familiar with electronics enough to want to look into repairing/replacing the broken part, so I will then open up the device and see what I find. It seems there is no other option really. Maybe I can bypass the internal amp and just get the sound signal from before the amp and connect that to an external amp.

Hi there, I have almost the exact android unit with the Raise Canbus decoder. My car is C4 Coupé 2008, all the steering wheels buttons works well except the Mute button, it’s cycling through all the apps that I have opened instead of muting the sound, do you know how can I fix it? Also, the steering lines from the rear camera doesn’t move along with the wheel movement…

Hi. Audio is the same as the car's original radio unit. Canbus decoder comes in a box with the Android unit, so you don't have to buy another canbus decoder.

Hello. Here I installed a 2gb + 32gb unit with quad core processor. It works well in ordinary tasks, you can use Waze and Google Maps. There are many versions of Android, it probably has an update and they have changed the color of the screen.

Hello Andrian and thank you for this detailed video. I have a question: Does the unit have an ON/OFF button? I mean, can you turn it OFF and especially, can you turn it ON when the engine is inactive and the key is out? You can do it with the manufacture's radio.
Hi. Unfortunately these Android units only work with the ignition key in the ON position.
It's possible to turn off the unit on long pressing the on/off button in the upper left side of the unit. And to be able to keep it on without the ignition, u have to split the "permanent 12v" yellow wire into 2 wires. The new wire should replace the original red (12v after ignition) on the connector which go to the unit. But be careful it could drain your battery if you don't turn off the unit.

Hello Adrian, very nice video. It helped me a lot to mount the radio in my car, a 2005 Citroen C4 gen 1. I'm having a problem with the canbus decoder. The android radio came with a Raise psa-rz-15 canbus decoder, which caused problems of bliking with the car screens (only if I maintain the original LDC screen). Following your advice, I replaced it by the model psa-rz-01, but the problem still persists. Do you know if there is some configuration that I must to change? The options that I have in my radio canbus settings are a little diferent. I've tried to configure it as a peugeot 3008 (maintaining the small screen) and as a peugeot 307 (04-09) without success. I forgot to say that my original screen is different of yours. It provides information about consumption, car state, etc... Maybe I should replace it? Thank you very much
Hello. You don't have to replace the original screen. Probably the settings for canbus are not suitable, try again with Peugeot 308.
Hello. Try to go in the car settings app. And scroll down to "car model" and select "4008 keep the original small screen" it could be good. Tick the "buzzer" case under "navigation sound" if you don't hear beeps from your rear parking radar.
Ah, one question. I kept the little screen as you did, but it keeps showing the previous settings (CD and such). Is there a way to reset it so it looks like yours?

@@AdrianDragan hello, not the buttons on the steering wheel don't work for android radio (on original screen, it's work). Today the seller has sent me some images but I only understand the part of the configuration. Another image indicates that I must have key 1 and key2 cables connected somewhere. And then clone the buttons. I try clone buttons but don't work.
So, you don't have to connect the key1 and key 2 cables. Enter the CanBus menu and set up Hiworld / Citroen, try all the car models there, it has to be something that works.

Hello. I never did this installation. Theoretically you need to have the power cables for the original radio and an auxiliary audio output that will need to be connected to the auxiliary audio input of the Android unit.

Hello. Theoretically it can only be used if your original radio is type RD45 because it has built-in bluetooth. Otherwise, if the bluetooth module is separate from the radio, it is harder to find the wires from the microphone.

Go to the settings and choose Raise and there test each model for Peugeot / Citroen, see in my video at 17:15 minutes. That menu may be different because your tablet has a newer version of Android. Launcher has nothing to do with that app.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. I ordered the new Q7 from this same seller. The raise decoder I got doesn't handle keeping the old screen. It freezes and keeps the headunit ON without ignition, so I chose "C-Quatre" and controls works fine (no Citroen logo available though) It's a 720p IPS, but it's a bad quality screen. The RDS doesn't work (only station's frequency) The frame doesn't stick perfectly to the dashboard (we can see it on your car too, and other tutorials on YT) there's always a play, and it wasn't easy to push the left side in. I can't make Waze work. It keeps looping on the "get started" step. Did anyone have this issue?

@@AdrianDragan thanks to seller's instructions, I resolved the RDS issue through advanced configuration (but It doesn't display the radio names on the list, I guess I can do with that) I added a customized logo too (they don't include it because of copyrights) The seller recommends also not using the old screen and the unit at the same time. I think the unit is enough anyway. The only issue is the Waze application (I think there are maybe hidden buttons on lower part of the application that I can't check to get past this step) but if it doesn't work I can do with android auto or just maps on the unit. Overall it's a good unit (for now) it freezes from time to time. But for approximately 100$ we can't expect perfection

Hello. I haven't tested on MyWay but I think it will work, as far as I know the main connection plug is identical to the one on RD4. if you also have JBL from the factory, it will not be compatible.

I think the parking sensors could also be displayed on the Android screen if your Android unit has the PSA-RZ-15 Canbus decoder, although I'm not very sure about this compatibility. Hi, I did get the newer android 10 version of the radio (MCU is TS10.1.1) for my C4 2006 Sedan model . It has a raise psa rz 15 Canbus module. But after installing the radio the steering wheel buttons and the fuel consumption information work. But the car keeps going in self diagnosis or it reboots the dashboard and resets the 1st trip meter (on small display) . looks like the canbus module is letting the canbus go in error I tried all the Raise model options from the factory menu. nothing seems to work. Should changing the canbus module for a raise psa rz 01 fix the problem ?
Hi. These Android multimedia devices for the Citroen C4 were not designed to work with the original multifunction screen. The manufacturers include the PSA-RZ-15 canbus decoder which does not work with the car screen, but the PSA-RZ-01 decoder works with the screen. @Adrian Dragan I have the Riase canbus. Managed to fix it with trial and error.. I selected another model R012 listed in settings and that worked.. Although the existing display screen still thinks Radio is on but doesn't really bother me.

I would like to install an Android system (S4 or V2 Plus model) on my 2004 C4 VTR coupé and I need to know a couple of things. 1) From what I have read, to maintain the multifunction display I need a Raise PSA-RZ-01 decoder and set the car model as "4008 keep the little screen". Hello! 1. To be able to control the multifunction display you need the PSA-RZ-01 Canbus decoder. I think you will still be able to use the option to adjust the multifunctional screen from the buttons on the steering wheel. 2. As far as I know, the sound of the parking sensors will only be heard from the buzzer integrated in the canbus decoder. I think it might be that yes if you use a Hiworld PSA1.20 or PSA1.21 decoder the sound of the parking sensors could be kept in the original car speakers, this happened to me on an S5 unit with a Hiworld decoder installed on a Peugeot 508. P.S. Just as a small observation. I say it's worth spending about $30 more on the Android S5 navigation because it has a better CPU, more memory (64 Gb vs 32 Gb) better Audio processor. Salutare. Nu am avut asa problema cu unitatile mele Android, ma gandesc ca ar fi o problema cu touchscreen-ul. Totusi intreaba vanzatorul si vezi daca ofera vreo garantie. Sper sa rezolvi problema.
