  • Hi Eric. This is an incredible video! Thank you so much for the behind the scenes look at your design process. Use of the watermarks within Sketchup to prepare the graphic design mock-ups is seriously smart 🤓 Awesome work.

  • Great video Eric, Loving not just the look behind the scenes but also more of how you process a task and take it to the next level.

  • Great video as usual Eric, it's nice to see how the SketchUp team use their own product. The only thing I'm missing here is how did you export the final images for the web (blog/warehouse) I mean it's maybe useful to be able to select a part of the 2D view and then export only what's inside that selection without having to use external image manipulating tools. Thanks!

    • They were just a straight export of a scene to JPEG. I know in the past we sometimes use V-Ray or Photoshop but to me, it's important to make the views look as good as possible in SketchUp so that literally, what you see us what you get.

    • @@SketchUp how do you ensure the image size matches the preferred size? What I mean is that the watermark covers some parts of the view and maybe it good to have a tool to select an area to export only specific area of what we see (ie. the transparent area of the watermark)

  • Thanks Eric! Good idea to create this video with a lot of useful information. I hope you will continue this series, maybe with landscaping and garden design projects. --mihai.s
