Carwow vs Bike World Drag Race, it's time to get the Kawasaki H2R back out to race a 4 Million pound Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and a Ducati Panigale V4 SP2. Chris was in India, Chad somewhere else in the world so we called upon our good friend Bob Collins. If you don't know who Bob is, you need to go and look him up.

    • Yeah, I'm not convinced that it wasn't done on purpose, he more or less admits as much. Bike aerodynamics are such that even lifting your head a bit can be enough to make the front end light. I had an old (1980's) Honda xr500 and that would wheelie at 140km/h, mostly due to the big, high and wide front mudguard.

    • Easy stuff like...... ECU Flash that H2R and remove restrictions. Strap the front end down, makes a massive difference to launch harder and reduces a significant amount of air drag at speed. Do a brief burnout before launching to bring the rubber friction up for better traction. A set of lowering links for the rear shock settles the whole thing down and makes power transfer much more efficiently. Those are all low cost fiddling. Higher cost would be a set of carbon fiber wheels to reduce rolling drag and inertia, also improves suspension and traction. Toss on a set of sticky road-legal drag tires, to match the Bugatti's rubber performance, at least.

  • So many people misunderstood that the STOCK H2R has a top speed of 400 kph (248.5 mph) . But the reality is the stock h2r's true Top speed is around 340 kph only( around 211 mph) which is more than fast enough.

    @wanderer54796@wanderer547964 ай бұрын
    • H2R top speed is around 380 km/h on GPS but speedometer showing 400 kph which is not accurate Japanese motorbike testing team tested H2R it did 353 km/h VMAX on GPS But runway wasn't enough So H2R can go 370-380 km/h A Brazilian guy did reached 407 km/h in H2R on the GPS on a highway But that H2R had mods and longer gearing that's why

    • @@wanderer54796yes I'm also talking about completely stock H2R out of factory its top speed was 353 km/h on GPS VMAX and the clutch was slipping Webbike Japan team tested H2R That H2R would have eventually reached 360-370 km/h Stock H2R certainly cannot reach 400 km/h But they can hit 370 to 380 kph on a longer road and right conditions

      @Smzxe@Smzxe4 ай бұрын
    • @@wanderer54796There is a H2 with 230hp and the H2r with 320hp. The H2r is as fast or almost as fast as MotoGP bikes in the straight line and they both destroy even F1 cars. No way in a thousand years, that thing would loose out against that 2 ton car, that needs over 13 seconds to 300 while those bikes need around 10 seconds

  • Stretch that bike and the Bugatti will never touch it with a skilled driver like this guy. Incredibly impressive how he was able to be that close to the Bugatti with the stock length, with that much power your fighting wheelies the whole way. Even a normal 1000 cc bike is hard to keep that wheel down, and this is a extra 100 hp. Props.

    • @@aluisiousYes it would. Somehow James Hillier was blasting that beast over the Isle of Man and he managed to not wheelie it EVERY straight like in this video. It's funny how the big bikes always wheelie like crazy in Matt's videos but there are tons of videos from amateurs on KZhead who launch these things thousand times better without wheeling up to 300kph

  • Most people that have purchased the H2O have lengthened the bike to keep the front end down when going through the gears. That seems to work pretty good. U loose some handling in the corners when you do that , but for some they feel the loss in the corners is worth the opportunity to keep the front end.

  • Bugatti is going to have an advantage near the finish line because even modern sport bike aerodynamics is average compared to a car built for speed. There might be a sweet spot in the length of coarse that the H2 catches up, but too long and it will have all its power soaked up by air resistance. The ease and comfort in which the Bugatti holds its own is the remarkable thing.
