MANTRA MEANING: Om Tara tu Tara tu ray swaha is an ancient mantra used in Tibetan Buddhism as a way of honoring Tara, the protector or “Mother of all Buddhas.” This mantra can be used as a main mantra to salute all 21 major forms of Tara, but it is particularly associated with Tara in her Green Tara form, which is connected with enlightenment and abundance. Om Tara tu Tara tu ray swaha is one of the most significant and most commonly chanted mantras in Tibetan Buddhism, and is used to attract help, compassion, strength and healing.
Om Tara tu Tara tu ray swaha can be translated as “I prostrate to Tara the liberator, mother of all the victorious ones.”
This mantra song is from the movie called “ BALLAD FROM TIBET”. It’s a movie song.
Subtitles are different from the Mantra.

  • This song moved me to tears. It is so beautiful. I spent 10yrs blind before I had the 1st of 9 brain surgeries. My site was returned to me only for me to start loosing it again. You don't realize what pictures mean to you until you can no longer see the beauties that the Lord created. May the Lord be with you and keep you healthy, happy and safe 🙏❤🇺🇲

Here OM(aum) is the sound that connects u with the sound of cosmos, Tara is the mother Goddess and a manifestation of strength and tranquility within, Swaha is the word that marks an offering of sacrifice u make, and often it's the ultimate surrenderance to the Almighty seeking refuge at His feet as u immerse ur wrongs, ur sins, ur depravements, in the fire of His energy for it to purge u.

This video touches me very much as for years i have been donating to the Fred Hollows Foundation which offers free cataract operation to the poor in many nations. To the producers of this touching video, congratulations. Please change the spelling of the word Balled from Tibet. I think the appropriate word is Ballad from Tibet. I have now learned that the people in this video are actors, and this was part of a movie, by the name of Ballad from Tibet. Nevertheless, it does not change my empathy for people who are blind and for people. who have disabilities and illness . I enjoyed the singing and the music.

  • Guys ... you know this is from a film right? The ""BALLAD OF TIBET""? As anyone else seen this film but me ?? The song is dedicated to their guide( Thupten) , following their dreams to sing on tv , they went to a trip to Macau for a talent show. Thupten was their guide but he was half blind , he could see only from one eye. But during the trip he lost sight of the other. And the song it's about him, for him to get better to be their eyes again as he was their guide. And of course they prey for him to see again. You guys know this right? It's very moving, but it's still a film . I can't believe the western hasn't seen this... I'm Portuguese and I've seen this . Maybe not everyone has blind friends or knows blind people The purest there is in our kind in this world. You never heard of a bad blind person have you? Bless you all, and thank you Bela for showing me this movie!!!

It is a way of telling what's going on in Droma's mind as she sings the mantra "om tare tu tare ture soha" over and over. She sings for her friend Thupten who is being operated while she sings. She prays that Thupten will get his eyesight back after the operation.

  • That was so moving. The little girl has a wonderful clear voice. Like crystal. And the fact that all the musicians seemed to be sightless, made the words of the song all the more poignant.
