Some visual elements are from Roy VFX and Film Crux - Many thanks for helping small channels
Have fun working with 2d blendspaces and create cool movement! Apologies for the bad crop on the left side of the blendspace editor, I miscalculated the aspect ratio!
Incredible tutorial! Thank you Matt!
Awesome 😎
These are the kinds of animation when you want to aim at something and keep moving. RE style. Thanks, I really needed that!
Yes, combine that with a target lock-on system and you're in for a treat!
The best.👍
Hello Matt, I've recently begun keeping up with your content, and I'm thoroughly impressed by it. I'm confident that it will provide valuable insights for many aspiring gameplay animators, helping them understand what exactly gameplay requires from an animator! Keep sharing your wisdom! Thanks
Thanks for your kind words and thanks for being around, I truly appreciate it
Such a nice and informative video . Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Subscribed.
Great tutorial, would be nice if you show how to use leaning with this specific type of blendspace setup, would aprecciate it, great stuff!!
Really nice videos! I've been going through them over the past few days. If you're looking for suggestions, it would be nice to see a really polished forward locomotion tutorial, instead of the typical 8 way strafing that everyone seems to do. Plenty of games still use this (Batman Arkham, Assassin's Creed, Shadow of Mordor, Spider-Man, Souls games, etc), and the Third Person Template in Unreal is just a start.
I'll add it to the list!
With 5.4, do we get professional animations for this, pretty much?
Hi! Nice video! Is it possible to add sprinting and walking to the blendspace 2D?
Yes, of course. You would simply add more animations and blend between them based on the speed.
Where do you have the animation from?
5:45 Dumb question incoming, how do you get the default ABP to be on your character? I've tried googling around but I think I'm too new to this to use the right phrases
There is not such thing as a dumb question! You simply right click on your blueprint in the content drawer and hit 'Assign Skeleton'. You choose yours, and then you'll be able to select the preview mesh you want in the 'Preview Scene Settings" within your blueprint.
@@MattCourtoisAnim Thank you so much! This unlocked something in my brain and it all made sense. I was about to give up so thanks for the comment!
From where you get this character model ?
You can get it on the Unreal Marketplace www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/cyberpunk-mercenary
