There are more possible levels of accountability beyond that. Reporter: more accountability?; Bergevin: he has no accountability? Of course he has accountability. Reporter: I never asked if he has any accountability, of course he does, but I did ask if there should be even more accountability.

Like he OWES this guy some answers..??? smh Even tho the Canadians are my Team's #1 rivalry, I'd to think what we CAN stand together on is how annoying and rude both our Franchise's reporters can be at times. And it's usually when the team is in a funk and these sports reporters always have a narrative they try to push. I may hope my Leafs beat the Canadians for every remaining game still, but with crap ... You guys have my support.👍 Carey Price has been the backbone of this team for Years ...and just to hear some arrogant reporter talk about his "accountability" ....is ridiculous. Price is a legend and I know he will bounce back like he always does. ( hopefully not at the Leaf's expense 😏)

  • In the salary cap era, you can't afford to spend so much money on a goalie unless he's absolutely lights-out incredible. Carey Price is good, but he's not the best and he's been pampered and protected in Montreal since Day 1. This season is the first time since Halak that Price has been challenged and he has not risen to the occasion. This will be the 4th goalie coach Price has had after Rolland Melanson, Pierre Groulx and Stephane Waite. With his NMC and his salary, it would be pretty hard to get a trade together.

  • Montreal sports reporters always ask questions in a vacuum. Everything is always about Montreal, without considering that there is IN FACT another team on the ice ... If Carey Price let in two bad goals and they lost, consider that the other team's goalie allowed two soft ones as well. Perhaps even three soft ones. Carey Price is not super human however once reporters exalted him to that pedestal then there comes a time to tear him down. There should be no team in the N.H.L. depending on their goalie so much. • The guy interviewing him about the goalie coach shouldnt be aloud to ask questions ever again. Your there to ask his opinion, not give your own. Habs had no other option to fix the goalie problem than to fire the coach, You want Marc to come right out and say Price is unmovable because of the 10m contract ? Well GMs dont do that and the interviewer should have known that. Moving him isnt even a option so the goalie coach is the one to go.

  • The reason why Bergervin is in this situation in that presser is because he is not telling the complete truth and the journalists can see it. He couldn't take such a decision without talking to Price, despite what he said. You cannot remove one guy's specific coach without talking to him first. Come on. So he is trying to protect Price most likely to protect also Waite's feelings, and because of that his answers make no sense.

  • So the people complaining about the Media questions are the same people who constantly complain their team doesn't get media coverage. Interesting. Asking difficult questions is literally the job of the media. I'm curious, can a media person respond and tell me how many times when talking to a potential employer they were told to "always ask easy questions, never get the person upset and above all don't stir the pot." I'm guessing it's pretty close to zero.
