I Synchronized a Race Track to Music - Trackmania PF #4

This is no ordinary race track. It took me over 100 hours to create, matching various jumps and bounces of the car to the beat as best I can using trial and error.

  • This might be helpful for your next PF track: Openplanet (which is a trackmania extension program) has a plugin called Editor Trails, which basically records the path that the car takes when in test mode and allows you to see it while editing the track. Thought this might save you a lot of the trial and error.

  • I think my favorite thing in PF tracks (in *any* game really) is when the same piece is used repeatedly but giving different outcomes. I think it would be interesting to use a roulette booster for that purpose. So that on one pass it gives weak boost and falls short of a jump, and then later hits it times with the super boost and gets the jump.
