I had the privilege 27 times.. and counting .. as soon as I have the opportunity to Go Back.. He is an incredible Artist and his voice is absolutely a blessed gift.. He wasn’t doing well in ‘certain time’, due to personal life reasons. Right now, he is getting better and better. I was 20 years old when this song came out. The girl I'd been dating for the past two years had broken off the relationship. I was crushed. I must have listened to this song in my dorm room and in my car 1000 times. Oh how I wanted her back; I truly loved her. Fast forward 10 years later and I'm a pharmacist with a fiancé when I get a call from the past; It's her! I agreed to meet for drinks one night in Atlantic City. It was amazing to me, when suddenly in the course of that rendezvous, after all those years, it occurred to me that I'd actually dodged a bullet. Afterward, in the lobby, I did as she had done ten years earlier and kissed her on the cheek.said goodbye, and walked away, back to a woman who has been my wife and the mother of our five children for the past 29 years. Thank God for unanswered prayers.

@@christianmarre7517 Honestly Christian, to explore; In terms of possible love lost then renewed. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have, but I was still relatively young. In short, yes I was happy with my relationship,, but I remembered a happier time when my mom was alive, I felt more vibrant, I was younger, less cynical and she was angelic in my eyes. But my eyes were opened.
You held a candle which was extinguished upon talking to her again . You realized you had grown UP since that time and could move on . Good on you taking the opportunity to close that chapter of your book
Lost both my parents when this track came out,i was sent to a kids home ,music like this saved my sanity,but on a more positve note the staff and other kids in the home made me realise that life was what we make it.

Legends 80syeh Legend Not if you grew up in Eastern Germany, though, like my parents. 1989 was the only good year from the 80’s for them, they never had a chance to live the 80’s like they did in the US and western Europe. On the other hand, this makes them much more grateful for living nowadays than most people.
I never had the luck to experience the 80s but I'm glad the internet gives me the opportunity to experience 80s culture. I would take 80s music over almost everything from my era. Weird bc my parents never adored the 80s like I do even though they experienced them.

This is one of those songs that I'd heard years back and didn't really appreciate for whatever reason. Now I hear it and it is really is a superb song. It has a story, a video that fits the time and some well executed synths. Oh I love these synths.

I love the bass guitar and keyboard sounds in this song. This was number 1 in germany for many weeks in very late 1983 and early 1984. I like the cold atmosphere and the bass in the verses. December 1983 was very cold I read and this song fits perfectly in that time.
