    • It's crazy because I remember when scrub daddy came out. I had no idea it was on the show. I looked at it and said "I'm not paying that much for a sponge just because it has a smiley face." I remember making fun of it! For reference, I'm a professional cleaner and VERY picky about my scrubbers. Then it went from being on the end cap to taking up a quarter of the aisle. My brother in law was a dish washer at the time and swore by it. So I finally purchased one, and yeah. Of course it worked wonders for most of my duties. The only thing it didn't work well for was sinks for some reason. They always fall apart within a couple days but I think that's because I use really hot water. But counters, stoves, dishes, grout 👍

  • The whole story behind Scrub Daddy is that this guy was a factory manager at a 3M plant for almost 18 years. The material that was used was produced by 3M for a product they never launched and stayed in the factory warehouse for years. 3M never had any interest to continue using this material so they never applied for a patent. Big win for this guy. One day his wife asked him to clean the porch furniture and he got the boxes with the material from the warehouse and went home. That is how he found out that the material softens when using hot water and hardens when using cold water. Pure coincidence.
